SSeetoh Chee WaiWe have a great stay at this hotel. Its very clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided by the hotel is really great too! It is also near to tourist attractions and good food places.

IInvitéNous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour en famille de 5. La chambre insonorisée était propre et idéalement située au départ du Possum Night Trail Run. Les installations étaient facilement accessibles et c'était un vrai plaisir de pouvoir nager jusqu'à 22 h. Nous avons hâte de revenir !

FFluffyTotoroI arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

IInvitéAprès avoir été très déçu avec le resort Wairakei - nous avons trouvé notre nouvelle destination ce que a a upgrade le Hilton est très moderne décor spacieux propre - ne pouvait pas le défaut dès le moment où nous y sommes arrivés - eau sur entrée saluée avec un sourire - service client 5/5 a une bonne nuit de son sommeil et en couple avec prix - séjour dans la suite junior face à la piscine chaude -gym

IInvitéWe stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip.
Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from.
Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful.
It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff.
My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!

IInvitéWe booked via a travel agent and fully paid. When we checked-in, the staff knew that we already paid via the travel agent. After we checked out, we are shocked that the hotel double charged the room fee to our credit card without informing us. The receptionists are apathy and unhelpful. We are disappointed with Novotel.

IInvitéWow! We go upgraded to two bedroom apartment which was really handy since it has washer/dryer plus air conditioning in both bedrooms and open plan living area. Very clean and modern apartment with good appliances (Bosch cooktop, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer). The apartment is sound proofed. They also have 4 varieties of Zealong Tea Estate teas along with the Zealong cups plus coffee pods. The hotel is next to the lake and shops so it’s quite convenient. My only issue is that outside of night time sleeping hours, the air conditioner would turn off by itself after a few minutes. Other than that, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to others.

This isn’t a fancy or high-end hotel, but it’s definitely a great place to spend a couple of nights—especially if you’re visiting Rotorua and Taupō. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which is really all you need for a short stay when you’re out exploring most of the day.
Don’t expect 5-star facilities or luxury features, but the overall experience is solid and very safe too. The stay was pleasant, the environment was tidy, and it offered good value for money. A reliable and convenient option for travellers passing through or wanting a simple base to explore the area.

C'est un bon arrêt au-dessus du point, mais la plupart de la ville se ferment bien tôt ou ont de longues week-ends, donc assurez-vous que vous avez des fournitures à l'avance. Quand nous sommes arrivés là, il n'y avait pas de réception, il y avait un numéro et une personne à appeler, l'entrée est un peu difficile ”entourant le dos” ...yep c'est exactement ce qu'il est.

CClarissaLeeThe room was unsatisfactory. Cobwebs and insects on walls, broken & wobbly dining chairs. Even the stair railing to go upstairs is shaky. Chipped bowls and plates. Most serious is that hot water shower is almost impossible! Hot water seems to be limited. It's always freezing cold water! Imagine having soap all over your body and literally freezing just to wait for the hot water to come but yet not enough to rinse off the soap! I gave up trying to shower the next day. And no Aircon on upstairs room. We had to ask for a small fan just to ventilate the room
