Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à Matabeleland Nord, Zimbabwe

Vous pouvez marcher de la frontière Zambie-Zimbabwe! Bien que ce soit un hôtel voisin à un prix raisonnable, il est très propre et a une bouteille chaude, c'est très bon! Je n'ai pas utilisé ça, mais l'hôtel a un restaurant et une piscine, et il y a un supermarché près!

We stayed at Lulu Lodge in order to visit Victoria Falls as part of a longer trip to Africa. When we arrived at the airport, John was ready and waiting to pick us up and transfer us to the lodge. He was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast each day on the shady stoep outside our room, and all the staff were kind and courteous. We particularly enjoyed a dip in the hotel pool, which is clean and pleasantly shaded in the hottest part of the day. We deliberately chose an independent hotel rather than a large corporate one. We wanted to see more of the real Zimbabwe rather than being shielded behind am expensive facade. Some elements of our stay revealed a tight budget for the owners: the minibus had seen better days, and had no air-conditioning, and the shower was a bit temperamental, but this was easily offset by the willingness of John and his staff to show us the places and share the experiences we had wanted to see. He took us to the Victoria Falls, showed us the beautiful Lookout Cafe, which we probably would not have found by ourselves, ferried us into town for lunch and shops, and arranged an elephant ride which was an absolute joy! The elephants were free to roam over an extensive area as part of a conservation project, and we were delighted to have a 7 month old baby tag along with. her mother as we rode. John also took us to a local school where we were able to see students who truly valued their opportunity to have a proper education at a manageable price. We hope to return to Lulu Lodge within the next two years. Thank you, John, Tom and Honest.

The hotel itself is nice in a convenient location. However they are not very transparent about the cost of airport transfer. Before my stay, I emailed to enquire about airport transfer and was told that the airport shuttle is USD 15 per person, and $30 if it is individual traveller one way. I booked a 2 way transfer as an individual traveller and made payment of USD 60 to the Heritage Expeditions Desk upon arrival at the hotel. On my day of departure, while waiting for the airport transfer to arrive, another guest went up to the desk to ask to take the next airport transfer. The staff charged him USD 20. When my transfer arrived, they asked both of us to proceed to the car. I told the staff that I had paid $30 as an individual and asked they could return me $15 if I was going to be sharing with someone else. The staff then asked the other guest to wait for the next shuttle. To be honest I would have preferred to share and pay less, but of course they want every opportunity to take more money from you.

Aucune nourriture- la seule raison que je ne pouvais pas payer 5/5 sur les installations. Les travailleurs sont honnêtes. J'avais oublié un de mes téléphones après avoir vérifié. Ils m'ont contacté et gardé le téléphone pour moi pendant plusieurs heures.

My wife, , myself and our daughter started our visit to Africa in Zimbabwe, and booked 2 days at Pamusha lodge. It’s set in a secluded setting just outside Victoria falls town… probably 20 mins walk if you wanna attempt it , but there’s no need as Pamusha offer a shuttle service , usually with the wonderful Geoffrey driving , for a small fee. ( also a shuttle from the airport !). We found the staff working there incredibly helpful and friendly, especially in organising tours with / through Pamusha as well as any other questions we asked. Food at the lodge was ok , mostly reasonably priced and the bar was also fine. What was quoted was what we paid for tours .Accomodation is a little dated ( no hair dryer etc), but ok for a base to explore from. Yes , not 5 star luxury but would definitely recommend to people for a short stay

L'emplacement est excellent, en plein centre-ville et à seulement 10 minutes à pied du pont. La chambre était juste assez grande pour un couple avec deux valises standard. Le petit-déjeuner et le café étaient corrects pour les personnes pressées. Cependant, nous avons rencontré quelques problèmes durant notre séjour. L'eau chaude était coupée après environ 5 minutes de douche chaque jour. Nous étions dans une chambre d'angle donnant sur la rue principale. Du vendredi au dimanche, entre 19h30 et 23h, le restaurant d'en face diffusait de la musique forte et bavardait sans cesse. Même avec des bouchons d'oreille, le bruit restait très perceptible… particulièrement agaçant après une longue journée de voyage. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre, mais la réceptionniste nous a répondu que c'était la meilleure disponible.

The Kafusi Lodge is newly renovated and very clean. The guests have access to a spacious living with comfortable couches facing a flat screen TV. We had the choice of buying and cooking our own food in a fully equipped kitchen, or ordering a breakfast of eggs, sausage, beans, bread, coffee, or tea for only $10 per person. The manager, Jiyane, picked us up at the airport and personally guided us through the town Victoria Falls and surrounding areas making our experience wonderful and informative. Zimbabwe does use American dollars and some excursions are a bit pricey, but overall I recommend this destination and lodge to anyone interested in seeing this world-renowned waterfall.

L'auberge et la tente étaient très propres. Nous n'avions simplement pas réalisé qu'en réservant une chambre double, il s'agissait en fait d'une tente. Le ventilateur fourni était agréable et nous a rafraîchis le soir, et la piscine nous a permis de rester propres pendant la journée. L'emplacement est cependant un peu excentré du centre-ville, il faut donc soit une voiture, soit un taxi pour se déplacer. Le restaurant sur place était correct, mais on ne nous a pas expliqué qu'ils proposaient parfois un barbecue spécial et qu'il était impossible de commander autre chose à la carte. Si nous l'avions su à l'époque, nous serions allés au marché et aurions préparé nos repas nous-mêmes. Le personnel était adorable et serviable.

El hotel se encuentra situado a orillas del río Zambezi. Es de los más alejados del centro de Victoria Falls, así que por la tarde si quieres salir a caminar la única opción es un taxi o tu propio coche. Del hotel al centro o a la entrada del parque de Victoria Falls son 10 minutos y el taxi cobra unos 15 dólares. Las habitaciones dan todas a las áreas de jardines, son muy tranquilas y no hay ruido. Las camas son cortas. Una persona que mida más de 1.85 cm le cuelgan los pies de la cama. Todas las camas son iguales, así que yo que mido 1.88 no fue demasiado confortable. El baño es grande, la presión del agua es muy buena. Tienes la opción de pedir un mini fridge sin cargo extra en la habitación. El desayuno si no lo tienes incluido cuesta 30 dólares el buffet, lo cual es un precio bastante exagerado por un desayuno. El hotel ofrece servicio de comida y de cena. He pasado el menú para que podáis daros una idea de lo que ofrece. El hotel cuenta con un servicio de bus (shutlle) al centro de la ciudad y a la entrada del parque Victoria Falls 4 veces al día, siendo el primero a las 9:15 am y el último a las 4 pm. Para retornar al hotel el último servicio es un poco antes de las 5 pm Pensé usar la piscina, pero la cierran a las 6 pm porque a esa hora hay animales que se acercan a ella. De todas formas la piscina siempre estuvo sucia durante mi estancia. Había toda clase de bichos y “cosas” flotando que no hacía muy agradable nadar en ella. Quizás por el hecho de que algunos animales la usan también. Una lástima. Si volviera Victoria Falls me quedaría mejor en un hotel más cerca del centro, para poder llegar caminando y poder pasear, ya que por la zona del hotel no hay nada. La hora para dejar la habitación es a las 10 am, es muy temprano, generalmente en casi todos los hoteles del mundo es a las 12 del medio día. En mi caso me dejaron usar una habitación de cortesía hasta las 11:30 am. Del hotel al aeropuerto el taxi cobra 30 dólares, pero conseguí un taxi que me cobró 20 que conocí en la ciudad y lo arreglé para que hiciera el servicio de traslado. Del aeropuerto al hotel cobran por persona: Una persona 30 dólares, dos personas 15 dólares. El servicio lo puedes pedir al hotel. El personal del hotel es muy amable, todos son amables. Desde la señora que limpia la habitación hasta el personal de la recepción.
