I stayed here for 3 nights, and this is my honest review. The hotel has recently reopened after a complete renovation and rebranding. The staff were excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Check-in took about five minutes because the staff member assisting me seemed new and was carefully following the procedures. I didn’t mind at all, and I was served a delicious welcome drink while waiting. After check-in, a staff member escorted me to my room. Pros: 1. The rooms have been fully renovated and feel modern. 2. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, even at 26°C. 3. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Everything I tried was delicious, especially the Indonesian dishes. What impressed me the most was that, even though the hotel was still very quiet and there were only a handful of guests during my stay, they still offered a full breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. Many hotels would simply serve a limited set menu or deliver breakfast to the room when occupancy is this low, but this hotel maintained a complete buffet from end to end. I really have to give them credit for that. 4. The location is convenient, with Superindo and Indomaret within a 3-minute walk and Pakuwon Mall only about a 9-minute drive away. 5. The lobby is spacious and looks luxurious. Cons: 1. The TV was by far my biggest disappointment. I stayed in a Deluxe Room, and the TV appeared to be left over from the previous hotel rather than replaced during the renovation. It was very small, around 32 inches, and wasn’t a Smart TV, which feels completely out of place for a hotel that claims to be five-star. The selection of TV channels was also very limited, and the picture quality was poor with noticeable static, making it quite unpleasant during my 3-night stay. The Executive Rooms have larger TVs, but based on the information I received, they are not Smart TVs either because I was told that only the Suite Rooms will have Smart TVs, and those rooms will only become available after the hotel’s grand opening. You can even notice that the hotel doesn’t include any photos of the TV in the Deluxe Room images on its booking page, which almost makes it seem like they’re avoiding showing it. Nowadays, it’s hard to imagine a genuine five-star hotel still using a 32-inch non-Smart TV in its standard guest rooms. 2. Soundproofing isn’t great. I could hear noise from the next room and the nearby mosque. 3. The Wi-Fi was very slow, and mobile signal inside the hotel was also weak. 4. The shower area had no shelf or storage space for personal toiletries, and the floor was extremely slippery. I almost slipped several times while showering. This is something the hotel should address, as it could become a safety hazard. 5. The power outlet next to the bed was already occupied by the bedside lamp, so I had to unplug it every time I wanted to charge my phone. 6. Although there were plenty of power outlets in the room, about half of them didn’t work, which was frustrating. 7. I wasn’t a fan of the pillow and bed linens. While the bed itself was comfortable, the bedsheets felt rough rather than soft. I even noticed that the underside of my arms became itchy whenever they rubbed against the fabric. 8. The hotel was very quiet during my stay. It seems many people still don’t know it has reopened, and I haven’t seen much promotion or any soft opening offers on its website and Instagram account. Overall: I enjoyed my stay thanks to the friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and convenient location. However, the TV and Wi-Fi were major drawbacks, and there are still several details that don’t quite meet the standard of a true five-star hotel. At the moment, I would personally rate this hotel as 4.5 stars rather than a full 5-star property. It has great potential, and with improvements to the TVs, internet, room details, and overall quality control, I believe it could truly live up to its five-star positioning.

L'hôtel est connecté à un centre commercial. Grand emplacement. Chambre propre. Petit déjeuner à Magnolia a une large diffusion. La qualité de la nourriture est bonne, une belle présentation et un service par le personnel est excellent. L'ambiance au salon Club est belle. Ce qui est le plus remarquable dans cet hôtel 5* est le service de classe mondiale fourni par tous les membres du personnel de façon cohérente. Il n'y a pas de personnel qui n'est ni poli ni utile. Merci spécial à Evan du Club Lounge qui nous a assistés lors de notre entrée et à Tian lors de notre entrée, Bayu et mes collègues (Conceige) qui nous ont aidé à commander des gâteaus de Spikoe lapis et Bu Rudy, Lita et David (Magnolia) qui nous ont servi à notre table et à Bastian et à notre équipe pour garder la chambre propre.

Nous avons passé notre lune de miel au Grand Mercure Malang Mirama pendant 3 nuits et 4 jours, et honnêtement, ce fut l'une de nos meilleures expériences hôtelières. Ma femme a absolument tout adoré dans cet hôtel, et moi aussi. Dès notre arrivée, l'accueil a été exceptionnel. Wike, de la réception, nous a reçus chaleureusement et a vraiment rendu notre séjour inoubliable. Toujours souriante, respectueuse, aimable et très serviable, elle nous a même offert des activités et des bons d'achat, une délicate attention. La plus belle surprise a été notre surclassement en Suite Executive, la catégorie de chambre la plus prestigieuse de l'hôtel. Un immense merci à Wike pour avoir rendu notre lune de miel inoubliable ! La chambre était tout simplement incroyable. Une vue magnifique, un immense salon, une chambre séparée et une superbe salle de bains avec baignoire panoramique. Tout y était luxueux et très confortable. Pour notre lune de miel, la chambre était décorée avec goût et nous avons trouvé une corbeille de fruits à notre arrivée, une délicate attention qui nous a fait très plaisir. Le petit-déjeuner était un autre point fort. Le choix était incroyable, tellement d'options qu'on ne savait plus quoi choisir. Tout ce qu'on a goûté était délicieux. Le personnel nous a vraiment marqués. J'ai beaucoup voyagé, mais le service ici était différent. Chaque membre du personnel que nous avons croisé nous a souri, nous a accueillis chaleureusement, s'est assuré que tout allait bien et nous a aidés immédiatement dès que nous en avions besoin. On ressentait vraiment une hospitalité authentique. L'hôtel nous a également offert une séance photo, une expérience vraiment charmante. Le photographe était super, et nous avons même reçu une photo encadrée en souvenir. Le seul point négatif de notre séjour a été l'expérience Teppanyaki au restaurant japonais. Malheureusement, elle n'a pas du tout été à la hauteur de nos attentes. La cheffe cuisinait devant nous sans aucune interaction ni animation, et quand j'ai essayé d'engager la conversation, elle a semblé agacée. Vu le prix, c'était vraiment décevant. Personnellement, je ne recommanderais pas l'expérience Teppanyaki là-bas. À part ça, tout était vraiment incroyable. Même si je ne me souviens pas de tous les noms, un grand merci à chaque membre du personnel qui a rendu notre lune de miel inoubliable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Et encore une fois, un merci tout particulier à Wike, tu es génial ! ⭐

The hotel is a resort on a hill. It’s beautiful and the weather is nice and cooling. Facilities include heated pool, kid’s club, 2 outdoor playground, kids water play area (cold water), ping pong table, free e-bike, gym, etc. The staff are very polite and helpful. Room is modern, new and beautiful. The room has safe deposit box, bidet, rain shower, and normal shower head. Basic amenities are 2 mineral water bottles per day, dental kit, vanity kit, sanitary bag, shower cap, shampoo, shower gel, and lotion. Shampoo and shower gel smells good. There’s bath towel and hand towel. Soundproofing can be improved: 1. On the nights we stayed, they had some events in the infinite8 cafe area. They were pretty loud until close to midnight. 2. We can also hear the people talking along the corridor Breakfast is free for kids 5 and below. Taste-wise it’s good. Apart from egg station, salad, waffles and bakery section, the rest are very much Indonesian style. Western-style option is limited (ie. pasta, baked beans and 1 other). What’s surprising is that they have frozen yoghurt and matcha spread! However, the breakfast spread can be repetitive.

Les chambres sont propres, confortables et bien entretenues pas de baisse de normes par rapport à ma première visite. Le service était facile à travers tout. Merci spécial à Joan pour avoir manipulé les entrées et les sorties de manière efficace et professionnelle. La location est très confortable avec un accès facile aux installations et aux transports voisins. En général, un hôtel fiable qui fournit constamment.

One of the best hotel in Batu and nice ambience.. It is one of our favourite hotel when visiting Batu It'a better if they can renew the furnitures in the room, especially the fabrics..it looks too old and dusty... It is so busy for them on the day when we stayed recently, that's basic amneties in the room are forgotten

Great solid property and performance all round.. what a great short stay we had.. from the elegant lobby and lounge area through to the beautiful spacious room with lovely views over Surabaya. Exceptionally clean with every quality amenity on offer in room and within hotel confines. The room was peacefully quiet, with a soft comforting bed. Pool and recreational area was set amongst manicured palm trees and gorgeous gardens. The pool was one of the best balanced PH levels I’ve ever swam in. Nice comfortable lounges and ample seating around with some seats submerged along in pool. The refined service level at this hotel is a solid 10/10 from reception/concierge/ room attendants and especially in Pavilion Restaurant. The quality, presentation and variety of food is outstanding at breakfast. Thank you graciously for making our special occasion so welcoming with the beautifully adorable presentation on the bed, lovely celebration cake offered along with the very personal attention from the Sous Chef and charming restaurant staff at Pavilion. Special shoutout to Restaurant ambassador Wachid whom personally escorted our plated celebratory cake to our room. Reception and concierge service was also exceptional, graciously assisting us with our missing luggage wheel dilemma. JW Marriott and all involved.. till we meet again.. Terih Makasih 🙏🏻

Wonderful stay at Ascott Waterplace Surabaya – highly recommend! We had a fantastic stay at Ascott Waterplace Surabaya and couldn’t have asked for more. Location is unbeatable. Right on the waterfront with easy access to Pakuwon Mall and plenty of restaurants nearby. Everything felt convenient, and the view from the apartment was stunning, especially at night. The apartment was spotless and very clean throughout our stay. Housekeeping was thorough, and the space felt fresh, comfortable, and well-maintained from day one. A huge thank you to the staff for making it extra special. We mentioned it was my little girl’s birthday, and they went out of their way to prepare a lovely surprise for her. It was such a thoughtful touch that made her day and ours. The team was consistently helpful, friendly, and quick to assist with anything we needed. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place in Surabaya with staff who genuinely care, Ascott Waterplace is it. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks again for making our trip so memorable!

Sauf que la chambre n'est pas très insonorisée (à moins de vraiment ne pas supporter le bruit), le service de blanchisserie commence l'après-midi et se termine à midi le lendemain au moment du check out. Je ne sais pas si c'est normal. À part ça, tout va bien. Il y a un grand magasin à moins de 10 minutes à pied.

As always, it is a very good hotel in Surabaya. Even During Ramadan, their breakfast spread is really huge. Love Thế Brazilian restaurant! Specially need to thank Ms. Rose of the Gold Bird taxi counter for helping me to find a car from Surabaya to Magalang in a very short time.
