Overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Grand Hotel San Pietro is a beautiful hotel with landscaped gardens and excellent amenities. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful and the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable.  Located within a 10-15 minute walk of the shopping and sightseeing area of Taormina, makes this 5 Star hotel an excellent choice.  The staff, as mentioned, are very courteous and helpful - and it is quite easy to become friends with them. Infact, Christian and Loretta (who work in the bar area during the evenings) are 2 staff members that I highly commend - not only for their service but for the exceptional time we spent with them.  This hotel is highly recommended and I certainly look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area. We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella. The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back

La suite présidentielle de l'hôtel est fondamentalement l'ensemble du faux impeccable. La chambre a sa propre piscine, deux chambres, une grande intimité et un haut niveau de service. Le spa de l'hôtel vaut également le détour, histoire de se détendre après la baignade. L'hôtel dispose d'une plage privée. Lors de l'enregistrement, une croisière gratuite sur l'île est proposée et un service de navette de haut en bas de la montagne est assuré. Le bar de l'hôtel est plus surprenant que le restaurant, il y aura des spectacles de groupe le soir, et vous devez essayer leur pizza. Très belle structure qui commence pourtant à sentir le poids des années. Il a maintenant besoin de travaux d'entretien et de modernisation (mains courantes en acier rouillé du spa, certaines lampes dans la chambre ne fonctionnent pas, douche - immense dans notre chambre - avec seulement de l'eau bouillante...). Cependant, cela reste un très bon hôtel, petit déjeuner excellent et abondant, bel espace piscine, verdure soignée et bien plus encore. Mais ce n'est décidément pas à la hauteur d'un 5*L : à notre arrivée personne pour la récupération des bagages, nettoyage des chambres un peu brouillon, espaces autour de la piscine disponibles pour des événements extérieurs (un mariage nous empêchait de nous reposer jusqu'à 3h du matin entre musique, bruits et réarrangement ultérieur). Un bon 4 étoiles dans l'ensemble. Y retournerions-nous ?

Lovely hotel with a really relaxed atmosphere. Our room was 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Very comfortable and lovely view but the bathroom is not 5 star. Strange arrangement with the shower and toilet. Notwithstanding that the bathroom amenities were a lovely Sicilian brand. Location is 25min walk into town, not for those who struggle with walking but we enjoyed it. The hotel never felt busy and there’s lots of different places to relax and enjoy the weather with great facilities. Staff are super friendly too.

Great, historical hotel in a nice location. Hotel clearly needs maintenance. The door of our restaurant couldn’t be closed so very unpleasant. Breakfast was good, although preferred to have more savory options. We requested a room on the higher floors but got one which was on the first floor and quite noisy. Still, probably this is the best hotel in Palermo, but there’s room to really improve things for the guests.

L'hôtel bénéficie d'excellents équipements et d'un emplacement privilégié, d'une entrée privée dans la Vallée des Temples. Cependant, il y a place à amélioration dans le département de service ; il ne parvient pas à offrir une expérience cinq étoiles constante. Le personnel pourrait améliorer son orientation client et éviter une attention sélective envers les clients.

Dans l'ensemble, c'était un bon séjour. Le prix de 1 150 € pour deux nuits est tout de même exorbitant. J'apprécie la piscine ouverte 24h/24 et 7j/7, ainsi que le magnifique restaurant avec vue. L'établissement proposait également un surclassement, ce qui était appréciable. Les chambres sont blanches et froides, cependant. De plus, les chambres devraient être nettoyées pendant que les clients prennent leur petit-déjeuner ; il est donc nécessaire d'utiliser le système mis à jour pour le suivi.

Le petit-déjeuner et la vue étaient très agréables, et j'ai apprécié la salle de sport, même si elle fermait trop tôt le soir. Le site est assez grand et on a l'impression de se perdre un peu pour se rendre à la salle du petit-déjeuner. Le service était très bon, mais le parking est payant par nuit. On peut se garer gratuitement derrière l'hôtel sur la route... Les chambres semblent un peu vieillottes, du moins celle où j'étais, mais dans l'ensemble, c'était vraiment bien.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff & lovely rooms. We did a great wine tasting which included their own olive oil which was so good. Only negative thing I could say is the beds were hard but can put up with that for a few nights but I think that must be a Sicily thing as most places we have stayed in here had hard mattresses. 🤣
