I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm. The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens. Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat. L'hôtel est classé 5 étoiles, mais ses prestations sont plutôt moyennes. La chambre standard avec lit king-size est plus petite que celles que j'ai pu voir dans d'autres hôtels de la même catégorie. Il n'y a pas de verres à eau dans la chambre. Le service d'étage est très lent et il arrive souvent que votre appel soit transféré sans cesse entre le service d'étage et la réception. Si vous commandez à manger en chambre, vous devez payer immédiatement. Le montant n'est pas inclus dans le règlement au moment du départ. L'hôtel ne compte qu'un seul restaurant et un seul café. Pour vos repas, vous pouvez aller à pied au restaurant le plus proche, situé à 800 mètres. Il y a une piscine, mais vous devez apporter votre propre serviette. Le jour de notre arrivée, une fête d'anniversaire se déroulait au bord de la piscine avec de la musique forte. Nous avons donc évité d'aller au bord de la piscine. Un cireur de chaussures se trouve dans le hall et son service est payant (à partir de 100 rands). Pour moi, c'est un hôtel moyen, convenable pour quelques jours. Il y avait une conférence en cours, ce qui a également entraîné une forte affluence dans le hall pendant notre séjour. Si vous recherchez un séjour de luxe, il vaut mieux choisir un autre hôtel. Cet hôtel convient pour un séjour de deux jours maximum.

After a long day I was getting ready to have a hot bubble bath only to find out that there was no hot water. The maintenance staff came to check and casually told me to wait 40 minutes for the water to heat up. It was so late and I was so tired. We ended up having to move to a different room with hot water, only to find out later that night that there were monkeys on the roof making so much noise throughout the night and there was very loud music going into the night from a neighboring property. Safe to say we didn't get much sleep. Not to mention the food we ordered from the restaurant was horrible, the fish was not fresh and the chips were undercooked. The salad was also terrible. We didn't even bother to stay for breakfast after it had taken more than an hour to get someone to fix the broken hair dryer and deliver my pillow which I had left in the previous room. The staff clearly do not care. Our spa treatments were also not that great. I'm quite disappointed as I've heard such good things about this place and I won't be returning. The location is great but for the price I don't think its worth it.

Already feels outdated and worn out. The floor in the room was a bit dirty the first night. The breakfast was below average. The outdoor area is a nice place to hang out during the day.

L'attention au détail et l'engagement à la confort des clients sont évidents dans tous les aspects de cet étonnant établissement. De la chaleureuse réception de la table de front aux chambres bien désignées et confortables, cet hôtel a dépassé mes attentes et a consolidé sa position comme l'un des meilleurs endroits préférés pour rester dans la ville. Bien que les salles de bains ont besoin d'un peu de modernisation, Je suis sûr que je reviendrai à cet hôtel lors de mes prochaines visites à Johannesburg.

J'ai eu un menu de boissons à l'arrivée qui a été servi gratuitement, n'attendais pas que cela en Afrique du Sud 🤪🤪 L'hôtel est situé dans une bonne position, entouré de la nature. Les services étaient 10/10, avec un personnel super amical et utile. J'ai été impressionné par les options de petit déjeuner et le restaurant lui-même....étonnant et esthétiquement agréable. Je n'ai pas aimé leur menu de cocktails 🥺🥺 ils n'ont pas de cocktails classiques. 90% de leurs cocktails sont faits avec sminorf 18/18 qui n'est pas cool. En général, c'est un grand hôtel et il reviendrait certainement !

We had a wonderful stay and truly experienced some of the best hotel service of our entire South Africa trip. The staff went far beyond our expectations — always warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made us feel so welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. The hotel is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood, giving us great peace of mind while exploring the area. We also loved the room design — beautifully styled, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, making it a perfect place to relax after a day out. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Idéal pour les voyages d'affaires. C'est un hôtel ancien, mais le service est excellent. La réceptionniste est très polie. Le petit-déjeuner est unique et varié.

I arranged four king-bed rooms at this hotel for my guests. Unfortunately, their experience at the hotel restaurant was quite unsatisfactory. During the meal, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only our table present. Despite this, service was noticeably slow and inattentive. After the starters were cleared, there was a long delay before anyone followed up regarding the main course. Even after ordering, plates were not brought in time, and the overall pace of service was unusually slow. Under such circumstances, it was difficult to understand the reason for the delay. The experience left a negative impression and fell short of what would be expected from a hotel of this standard. 我曾协助客人在该酒店预订了四间大床房，但其在酒店餐厅的用餐体验并不理想。 用餐期间，餐厅几乎处于空置状态，仅有我们一桌客人，但服务流程却明显缓慢且缺乏跟进。前菜结束后，长时间无人询问主菜安排；即便完成点单，餐盘也未能及时提供，上菜节奏明显异常。 在客流极少的情况下出现这样的情况，实在令人费解。整体体验未能达到该酒店应有的服务水准，留下了不佳的印象。
