This is my second stay here and they did not disappoint as far as the service. There was construction going on our first night which we didn’t know until we paid and went in. Wish they had of mentioned the largest pool was closed. It was open the next day but I feel like the first day was a wasted ticket. Breakfast can be skipped if you are looking for Western choices which I was. The sushi place next door is good and there’s tons of food just walking distance from the hotel. If you are a foreigner be ready to have people taking videos of you in your bathing suit. I was there to get away so I tried to go at times when people were eating. Not everyone is this intrusive but just be aware. Great on service and clean and comfortable rooms. I had a room with a hot tub which was one of the highlights. Def do a mountain hike and pick strawberries if they are in season. Enjoy your trip!!

Hampton by Hilton Nanchang Stay Review Overview: I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience, offering great value for both business and leisure travelers. Comfortable Rooms: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room featured an ergonomic work desk, which was great for getting some work done. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB ports and plenty of outlets. 2. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, which I made use of during my stay. It’s not a full gym, but it has enough equipment for a quick workout. The business center and meeting rooms also looked professional and seemed perfect for business guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay. 3. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. From fresh fruit and pastries to local delicacies like dumplings, there was something for every taste. The breakfast area was clean, and the staff was attentive to refilling items and clearing tables. 4. Service: The staff at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang were friendly and helpful. Though not everyone was fluent in English, they made a genuine effort to assist with all requests. I felt welcomed throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. 5. Location: The hotel’s location in Honggutan District made it convenient for accessing both the business district and local attractions like Tengwang Pavilion and Nanchang’s Star of Ferris Wheel. Taxis and public transportation were easy to access from the hotel, making it convenient to explore the city. The Drawbacks: 1. Room Size: While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they weren’t particularly spacious, especially if you’re staying for a longer period or with family. It was fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but families might feel a bit cramped. 2. Limited Dining Options: While the breakfast was great, the hotel’s on-site dining options beyond breakfast were somewhat limited. There is a small restaurant, but for more varied meal options, you’ll need to explore nearby restaurants or order delivery. 3. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable dans cette maison d'hôtes ! Son emplacement est stratégique, juste à côté de la route principale du village le plus proche du parc pittoresque de la vallée de Wangxian. Malgré son emplacement dans un quartier animé et ses nombreux commerces à proximité, la maison d'hôtes est étonnamment calme grâce à une bonne insonorisation, nous assurant un repos paisible. La chambre était exactement comme sur les photos : très propre et bien entretenue. Ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c'est l'hospitalité exceptionnelle de la patronne et de son frère. Dès notre réservation, elle a été incroyablement réactive sur WeChat, répondant à toutes nos questions et organisant même un transfert depuis la gare TGV jusqu'à la maison d'hôtes. À notre arrivée, nous avons eu l'agréable surprise de bénéficier d'un surclassement gratuit, nous permettant de séjourner dans des chambres côte à côte pour prendre soin de mon père âgé. Nous sommes arrivés assez tard, vers 21 h, mais nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis avec un coffret cadeau attentionné, comprenant un paquet de lait et du pain – une attention toute particulière de la part de la propriétaire. Pendant notre séjour, nous avons également été invités à participer à la fête locale Chap Goh Mei, une expérience culturelle fantastique pour nous. Le petit-déjeuner était offert grâce à des bons d'achat, ce qui nous a permis de déguster de délicieux plats dans différents commerces du quartier les deux matins. Un autre point fort a été la navette gratuite pour la vallée de Wangxian. Le frère de la patronne était incroyablement ponctuel : à chaque appel, il arrivait en quelques minutes. Au moment du départ, nous avons reçu un magnifique service de bols en guise de cadeau d'adieu, une attention très agréable. Nous étions originaires de Malaisie. C'était notre premier voyage libre et sans stress en Chine, et nous n'aurions pas pu rêver mieux. La chaleur et la générosité de nos hôtes ont rendu notre voyage inoubliable. D'ailleurs, la patronne parlait également anglais, ce qui facilitera la communication pour les anglophones. I want to start by sincerely thanking the uncle who works at this homestay for all his hospitality and attention. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were very well treated and taken care of. I will definitely remember our stay in Wangxian and hopefully come back to see the uncle. My partner and I visited from Canada and I speak very little mandarin. Despite this, the uncle and the other residents of the neighborhood were very patient and helpful when communicating. The check-in process was electronic. You scan the uncle’s QR code with your WeChat and register your information. For foreigners, it would be helpful to have WeChat running before arriving. The check-in was in Chinese, but I just screenshot the page and translated it and had no problems. We stayed in room 301, it was a double room and true to the pictures. The cleanliness was good and it was quite confortable. There are large windows for lots of sun. The water is hot and the AC is functional, no complaints. The homestay is very well located about a 10 minute drive from the Wangxian scenic area, and roughly an hour from Shangrao station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants and a little supermarket. Since it was quiet the night we checked-in, the uncle took us to visit the town nearby and gave us lots of recommendations for our visit such as going to the scenic area in the afternoon, and staying until the lights come on to see the night view. We had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant as recommended by the uncle. The food was home-cooked and the quantities were generous. Although we ate at the neighbour’s, the uncle also has some food and beverages you can buy, as well as some tables where you can eat. Later in the evening, the uncle and neighbours invited us to sit with them and we shared some great moments together. The next morning, the uncle had prepared a very typical Chinese breakfast for us to try. We then went up to the scenic area around midday and came back around 7pm. When we came back, we had dinner in the neighbour’s restaurant again and shared some more moments with them. The uncle and neighbours helped us coordinate transportation to our next location and gave us recommendations to better enjoy our next destination which we followed and it turned out great thanks to them. The community is what makes this place charming and I recommend it to anyone.

L’expérience globale de ce voyage dans la vallée de Wangxian a été plutôt bonne. A notre arrivée, une seule chambre était propre. Plus tard, la gouvernante Xiao Wu nous a aidés à suivre l'avancement du nettoyage de la chambre. Dès que la chambre a été propre, il nous a envoyé la carte de la chambre. Il semblait qu'il était très sérieux et responsable ! Il n'y avait pas d'Internet par la suite, probablement à cause du mauvais signal dans les montagnes, mais heureusement, le paysage dans la zone pittoresque est toujours très bon, les installations et l'équipement de la chambre sont relativement bons et il y a un parking gratuit dans la zone pittoresque, ce qui est très pratique. Dans l’ensemble, cela vaut la peine d’être recommandé !

Disappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest. The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didn’t care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. 🤦🏻♀️) There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby. The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didn’t feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it. One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand it’s CNY and you want to go home early but that’s not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously don’t speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldn’t understand us and wasn’t helpful in any way. Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.

The owner is very nice. We communicated via Wechat and the translation in the app helps the communication went through perfectly. The location is very nice as it's only 5 minutes drive to Wangxiangu and the owner was ready to drop us off and take us back just by texting him. We stay on the second floor. The amenities there are all we need. I like that there is a heater in the bathroom so that we don't get too cold while showering. The owner's mom took care of our breakfast. She cooked yummy dishes for us including hot vegan noodle soup which helps warming our body in a cold morning. However, the bathroom's sink is clogged with something that looks like leftover or vomit...so we tried not to use the sink. The worst thing of our stay is the transportation between Shangrao Station to the hostel. The owner offered us a pick-up and drop-off services which we will get a lower rate from the regular taxi service, so we accepted it. He didn't mention that it's going to be a shared ride until we found out ourselves that we needed to take a ride with 4 more people in the van, however, we're ok with that because of an affordable rate. Then we found it the worst riding experience in our life. As Shangrao is a small city with 2 lanes all along, the driver had always been trying to get ahead of the cars in the front and hitting his horn throughout 1 hour to the hostel which almost caused the accident. I was praying all the way. Nevertheless, on our trip back to Shangrao Station, the same driver took us there with his same style of driving and eventually an accident occurred! Our car was hit by another and we almost missed our train to another city. We almost had no doubt why we get hit Lol. The good thing is the driver called another car(with full of passengers) to pick up up to the station. We like the hostel but sadly we don't think we will ever go back to this city again...such a lift-time experience we got.

La chambre est très bien, avec un contrôle intelligent complet, ce qui est très pratique et je l'aime beaucoup. La vue depuis la grande fenêtre est incroyable. Si je n'ai rien à faire, je peux rester allongé toute une journée. Les sanitaires sont également très propres. Le patron est très gentil et viendra me chercher et me déposera à l'endroit pittoresque à tout moment. Il est très enthousiaste et vous pouvez lui poser toutes les questions que vous avez. Finalement, il m'a envoyé à la gare routière et m'a regardé monter dans le bus avant de partir. C'est très réconfortant. Je le recommande vivement !

L'hébergement, la source chaude et le petit-déjeuner sont très bons. Le petit-déjeuner de l'hôtel peut être de 7h00 à 10h00. Cela doit être loué. Enfin, je peux dormir et prendre mon petit-déjeuner. Le dîner à l'hôtel peut être jusqu'à 20 h 30. Il était tard le jour de l'enregistrement et ce n'était que vers 20 h 00. J'ai aussi dîné, ce qui a été une bonne expérience.

We came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages. We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too! Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms. It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained. I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me! The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain. This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.
