Hôtel au calme et propre. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec toutes les commodités et le personnel de l’hôtel est professionnel et a toujours été d’une grande aide me concernant.
Le personnel du restaurant est également très agréable.
De manière générale, l’entièreté du personnel est souriant et disponible, ce qui facilite par ailleurs les échanges malgré la barrière de la langue. Je recommande cet hôtel j’ai été ravie !

De l'arrivée au départ, tout a été parfait. La chambre était spacieuse et lumineuse, et la literie si douce et confortable que j'ai dormi comme un bébé.
Le personnel était aimable et courtois, répondant rapidement à mes besoins avec un souci du détail exemplaire.
L'emplacement est idéal, facilitant les déplacements, avec toutes les commodités à proximité. L'hôtel est calme et élégant, une expérience 100% satisfaisante.
Le lieu a une âme, et après mon séjour, j'ai l'impression que mon esprit a été apaisé.
Le lit était si moelleux que j'avais l'impression de m'enfoncer dans les nuages, me réveillant en pensant être dans une autre dimension.
Le service était juste ce qu'il fallait, discret mais attentionné, ceux qui savent comprendront.
Un rapport qualité-prix incroyable ! Je n'ai qu'une chose à dire : je reviendrai me ressourcer ici la prochaine fois.

J'y ai passé une nuit pour prendre un vol, mais c'était au-delà de mes espérances. La chambre était propre et bien rangée, et j'avais une vue imprenable sur tout l'aéroport. La navette est venue me chercher à 5 h du matin, ce qui était très pratique !

Excellent hôtel pour votre séjour près de l'aéroport. Idéal pour les personnes ayant des transferts comme nous. L'hôtel est propre, récemment rénové et offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Les chambres sont spacieuses, certaines avec écran de projection. Excellent service, prise en charge et retour faciles, emplacement pratique et personnel serviable et sympathique. Le patron est un homme formidable ! De nombreux restaurants et boutiques sont disponibles dans les environs. En descendant à gauche de l'hôtel, vous trouverez un grand espace barbecue et d'autres commodités.

L'hôtel est bien placé, tout près de la station de métro DONFENG et du quartier piéton. Il est dans un immeuble où se trouvent d'autres entreprises. L'accueil est excellent, les chambres très propres, la literie est confortable. Tres beau panorama depuis la chambre d'angle du 10e étage. La disposition des toilettes est surprenante. A travers la vitre de fermeture, on voit l'intérieur, donc peu d'intimité. Le petit-déjeuner est médiocre avec des produits industriels sans saveur. Le hall d'accueil, les couloirs sont dégradés et auraient besoin d'une rénovation. Une seule machine à laver pour ce grand hôtel. Il ne correspond pas aux standards habituels des Ibis Style.

I had a pretty good stay overall. The hotel was very clean, which is always something I really appreciate. The room itself was great, and the service was good during my stay. For the price, it's definitely a solid option, especially if you just need a place for a night. One thing that really stood out was the airport pick-up and drop-off that's super convenient and saves both time and money.
The only downside is that there aren't many food options nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals. All in all, it's good value for money and a practical choice if you're looking for something simple, clean, and convenient.

Cet hôtel mérite cinq étoiles ! Les installations sont excellentes, la climatisation fonctionne parfaitement, la commande vocale Xiaodu est très pratique et tous les équipements nécessaires sont fournis. La chambre était impeccable, d'une propreté irréprochable. Le service au départ a été une agréable surprise : le personnel a confirmé l'itinéraire à l'avance, le véhicule était ponctuel et confortable, et l'ensemble du processus a été réalisé avec attention et prévenance. Ce fut un séjour très satisfaisant que je recommande vivement !

Great place, very satisfied. Sheets are clean, location superb. You can walk to the nanping padestrian streets and old street. Located upper floors of a building, check in at 7th floor. Four points sheraton is next door. You can use four points as location guide for all didi ride hailing. Just that, the area is a bit jam due to lack of space for cars to manouver. All good, love the vibes behind the building. Bus station is at the back and just a short walk too.

IInvitéDans l'ensemble, mon séjour au Banyan Tree Lijiang m'a pleinement satisfait. L'hôtel offre une vue imprenable sur les sommets enneigés et un cadre paisible et magnifique, propice à la détente et aux vacances.
Bien que les chambres soient un peu vieillottes, elles étaient impeccables, propres et bien rangées, et tous les équipements fonctionnaient parfaitement. Le souci du détail témoigne de l'engagement de l'hôtel envers la qualité.
L'équipe de service mérite une mention spéciale : son professionnalisme et sa prévenance étaient exceptionnels. L'assistance du personnel était naturelle et attentionnée, à la fois discrète et parfaitement adaptée, ce qui m'a fait me sentir respecté et choyé. Le niveau de service global était impressionnant.
Un grand merci à Frank pour son attention méticuleuse et son organisation impeccable. De la communication avant mon arrivée au suivi pendant mon séjour, tout a été rapide et professionnel, rendant l'expérience plus agréable et rassurante. Son service sincère et naturel m'a fait très bonne impression.
Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui recherchent un séjour de grande qualité à Lijiang.

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out.
YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful.
First impressions were great.
As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing.
I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable.
Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup.
There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby.
Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin.
The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing.
The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay.
I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

IInvitéLa vue de l'hôtel est folle et belle, chaque coin du lobby et de la chambre, et le lieu est super bien conçu. Le bain n'était pas trop exposé par la fenêtre, l'eau était FAST ET HOT (qui n'est pas donné dans tous les hôtels de notre expérience) et tout simplement toutes les parties de la chambre était bien pensée.
En plus de cela, l'équipe d'hôtel était vraiment EXCEPTIONNELLE dans leur service!
Ils m'ont contacté dès le départ, avant le voyage, et ont même aidé à organiser notre voyage de la gare à l'hôtel, très tard la nuit avant notre séjour. Ils étaient prompts à répondre à toutes mes questions et à me donner des informations à l'avance même avant que je ne m'attendais à demander les informations. Durant notre voyage de montagne de Jade dragon, que nous avons dû quitter l'hôtel à 5.30am, et ils ont préparé un peu pour aller au petit déjeuner pour nous, même lorsque le temps normal bfast était 8-10am, donc nous avons un peu de carburant pour la longue journée.
Mon partenaire est vraiment malade pendant le voyage. C'est là que leur service m'a vraiment touché. Et puis, ils nous ont aidé à fournir un thermomètre pour vérifier sa température et quand nous avons trouvé qu'il avait une fièvre élevée, ils nous ont recommandé d'aller à l'hôpital, préparés le voyage pour nous gratuitement et même nous ont donné leurs propres chauffe-feu et linge-feu pour lui à Il a été très aimable de se rendre à l'hôpital, de le faire naviguer seul dans un pays étranger (il était v de là) et de faire un tour de nerfs, et l'équipe était incroyablement gentille et informative et utile tout au long du voyage. À notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons constaté que les prises électriques étaient hors service ; le personnel de maintenance a cependant réglé le problème rapidement. Le plus désagréable était l'odeur de fumée dans la chambre ! Nous avions expressément demandé une chambre non-fumeur car nous voyagions avec un enfant. Sachant que quelqu'un fumait dans la chambre, ils auraient facilement pu nous en changer. Le plus frustrant, c'est que nous avions réservé deux chambres et, lorsque nous avons remarqué l'odeur de fumée dans l'une d'elles, nous avons immédiatement contacté le personnel pour qu'une barrière anti-fumée soit installée dans l'autre. Cependant, après une longue attente, la barrière était toujours installée dans la chambre enfumée ! Le seul service que j'ai reçu dans cet hôtel a été d'appeler le concierge pour qu'il transporte nos bagages au parking. À notre arrivée avec beaucoup de bagages, personne ne nous a aidés. À la réception, personne ne s'est occupé de l'enregistrement ; j'ai dû demander moi-même. Même lorsque j'ai demandé, on m'a dit d'aller dans une autre chambre car ils étaient occupés. Même à Atour, où nous voyagions avec un enfant, nous avions toujours été accueillis chaleureusement. Ici, personne ne nous a prêté attention ; ma première impression a été désastreuse ! Le choix au petit-déjeuner était limité et le goût vraiment médiocre. On entendait clairement l'eau couler de la douche à l'étage depuis la chambre. Personnellement, je ne choisirai plus jamais cet hôtel. Toute ma famille s'y est sentie très mal à l'aise ; il ne vaut vraiment pas son prix ni son nom !

KKevin and ZuzannaUpon arrival, we were greeted rather coldly with a somewhat unwelcoming attitude, though this may have been cultural difference or surprise at seeing non-Chinese visitors. Fortunately, another staff member arrived shortly after who spoke English and actually smiled at us, which improved the situation. Our bags were then taken upstairs.
We were upgraded to a larger room for free, which was a nice gesture. The rooms are super spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with excellent storage capacity. The shower had good pressure and was spacious, which was great. One thing to note: there was something sticking out between the carpet and wooden floor at the entrance that I caught my foot on, causing it to bleed. Fortunately I'm vaccinated for tetanus, but it's something that needs fixing.
The building and corridors look fancy with high ceilings, though some parts of the lobby and second floor don't match this standard.
Service Issues: The housekeeping lady asked us irrelevant and pushy questions in a rather rough manner instead of listening to our queries. Some other staff including reception and kitchen staff were not reading our messages fully and responding too quickly, rushing instead of taking their time to actually listen to their customers. That said, many employees in the kitchen, reception, and porters are lovely and genuinely try their best to help.
The gym is genuinely great - it looks like a modern city gym of good standard. However, guests don't put equipment back in their place, leaving it messy. There are massage chairs available on the floor, which is a nice touch. The hotel also has an Olympic swimming pool, though I didn't get a chance to try it.
The included meals (all three meals a day) were of good quality and plentiful. However, I was surprised by the limited vegetarian options, especially considering this city is supposedly the tofu capital. Some guests had poor manners at the buffet, putting communal serving spoons close to their mouth and nose to sniff the food before the next person uses that same spoon.
A general observation about visiting China: what they call ”aunties” (older female staff) can be unnecessarily rough and rude. Being older doesn't give anyone the right to be overconfident about their skills or treat guests poorly. This varies by province and hotel standard, but it was noticeable here.
Noise was an issue - I wish both staff and other guests would be more considerate about volume levels in the corridors. I also wish there was a quiet lounge option separate from the lobby for those wanting a peaceful space.
Major issue on departure: I requested the free drop-off service to the train station and made it very clear we needed to leave at 10:00am sharp. I received confirmation that this would be a private transfer. However, on the day, this simply wasn't true - it was a shared transfer with other guests who were very inconsiderate and arrived late. This kind of situation is extremely frustrating as it can disrupt your plans and create unnecessary stress.
Positive note: The old town is not far by taxi and is much better than Lijiang - less of a tourist zoo with a better vibe.
Overall, the spacious, clean upgraded room with good storage and shower, along with decent facilities, are appreciated. However, service consistency needs improvement, particularly around actually listening to customer requests. Additionally, the behavior of some other guests detracted from the experience.

Reception Chaos and The Window Saga
Check-in was rushed and incomplete—no luggage assistance, no WeChat information, no translation tools. The real problems began when I reported my window wouldn't close. With one receptionist managing everything, guests competed for attention in survival-of-the-rudest fashion. She'd abandon helping me whenever someone else interrupted, forcing me to wait while she handled whoever was most insistent.
Hours of frustration followed. The maintenance worker actually said it ”wasn't really a problem” since ”most windows are like that in the hotel”—an alarming admission. After being dismissed and deprioritized repeatedly, I finally got another room. This one had a working window but noisy neighbors and poor soundproofing that broadcast every car horn.
They sent an apology fruit platter—genuinely the best I've received in China, beautifully arranged. But fruit platters require far less investment than proper staff training, adequate staffing, or basic maintenance.
The Bright Spots: Room and Breakfast
The stylish room with warm atmosphere and spacious layout was genuinely nice, though the window view wasn't appealing. The bed was acceptable.
The breakfast team was easily the best part of this hotel—truly professional unlike virtually everyone else. Day one featured fantastic food, skilled preparation, and competent service that stood in stark contrast to other departments. Even when choices declined on days two and three (less refilling, fewer Western options), the cooking team remained the most professional staff I encountered. They also shut down before 1:30 PM despite posted hours.
Housekeeping Failures
During housekeeping, I left my robe and towels out to be changed—they were clearly used and wet, obviously needing replacement. They didn't change them—they folded them and left them. I had to ask them to replace items like shower gel, basically had to tell them everything. They also moved my pile of dirty clothes for some reason and mixed it with clean clothes, putting everything on a chair. Maybe these staff should respect personal space and belongings? One housekeeping staff member in the morning delivered mineral water but was impatient and unfriendly.
Infrastructure Issues
This aging property needs renovation. The hotel is pretty old—windows not closing, minor things not working or getting detached from walls. Water temperature in the shower fluctuated wildly, giving you burning water on your face when you don't expect it. Shower pressure from the handle was pretty good, but not sure what the top running shower is for—low pressure, useless. Elevators were very slow. I ordered coffee—it was delivered to reception but they didn't call or message me and didn't use the robot to deliver to my room. I went downstairs at some point and took it. No explanation, no apology.
Final Verdict
Two genuine strengths: stylish rooms and a professional breakfast team that understood hospitality. This only highlighted how dysfunctional everything else was. The chaotic reception, incompetent housekeeping, dangerous infrastructure, and absent service standards make this hard to recommend—despite nice rooms and excellent breakfast staff.
Would I return? No. Would I recommend? Only if everywhere else was fully booked.

IInvitéJ'ai séjourné au deuxième étage, dans la toute dernière chambre, à l'écart de l'ascenseur. J'ai apprécié qu'on me place à un étage plus élevé, même si je ne l'avais pas demandé. Cependant, des bruits de coups forts et constants provenaient de la chambre voisine et de celle du dessus, ce qui m'a effrayé la nuit. De plus, tout le personnel m'a indiqué que l'hôtel étant tout neuf, une forte odeur de plastique se dégageait constamment de la climatisation lorsqu'elle était allumée. Cette odeur m'a provoqué une toux et un malaise vers la fin de mon séjour de sept nuits. Chaque fois que je rentrais dans ma chambre, l'odeur de plastique était si forte que je devais éteindre la climatisation et ouvrir la porte pour aérer. Par ailleurs, la directrice est venue me voir un jour pour me questionner sur mon altercation avec le gardien de nuit deux nuits auparavant. Je lui ai fait part de certains éléments qui avaient été jugés peu professionnels. Ce vigile m'a suivi jusqu'au restaurant où j'avais dîné un soir (un restaurant de grillades d'oie à côté de l'hôtel) et m'a posé des questions étranges, comme quoi j'étais en Chine et qu'il devait y avoir des raisons cachées à ma visite. Sa façon de poser ces questions m'a déplu, car je ne savais pas quoi lui répondre autrement que de lui dire que j'étais en Chine continentale pour faire du tourisme pour la toute première fois. Rien de plus. Il semblait persuadé que j'étais en Chine pour des raisons plus importantes, et j'ai trouvé cela très gênant et impoli, car je lui avais déjà expliqué la raison de ma visite, qu'il a balayée d'un revers de main. Ce n'était ni agréable ni convivial, surtout avec un client étranger de l'hôtel. Je comprends qu'il puisse manquer d'habitude dans ses échanges avec des inconnus, mais peut-être que la direction de l'hôtel pourrait l'aider à mieux comprendre les usages et le tact nécessaires pour interagir avec les clients, qu'ils viennent de Chine ou du monde entier. Bref, la responsable était très contrariée après avoir entendu mon récit de l'incident et a délibérément minimisé mes propos en me dévisageant de la tête aux pieds, affichant un mépris évident pour ma présence. C'est sans doute la pire chose qu'on puisse faire à un client d'hôtel après une expérience aussi négative. Non seulement elle contestait mon récit et me disait de pardonner au gardien de nuit, prétextant qu'il était âgé et avait des difficultés relationnelles, mais elle a insisté sur le fait que tout allait bien. Je lui ai simplement dit que tout allait bien. Elle était montée dans ma chambre pour me demander ce qui s'était passé avec le gardien.
D'ailleurs, le même soir, après avoir acheté et mangé mon dîner d'oie, ce même gardien m'a suivi alors que je jetais mes ordures près de l'ascenseur, comme il me l'avait indiqué au restaurant.
Il attendait donc littéralement que je sorte de ma chambre pour jeter mes ordures ! Cette rencontre était tellement angoissante que j'en ai encore la chair de poule en courant me réfugier dans ma chambre, tandis qu'il me suivait. En résumé, la directrice, avec son arrogance et son égocentrisme, est vraiment déplaisante et inadmissible. J'ai maintenant l'impression qu'en tant que Canadienne d'origine chinoise, je serai traitée de la même manière dans les hôtels de Chine continentale. Ce séjour m'a laissé un sentiment d'exclusion, de préjugés et d'indignité, comme si je n'avais pas reçu le traitement qu'un client d'hôtel ordinaire mérite.

IInvitéJ'ai réservé deux jours pour un voyage en solo. La chambre était spacieuse et l'établissement dispose d'un ascenseur, ce qui est plus pratique que de loger dans la vieille ville.
Mon séjour étant principalement axé sur la randonnée, mes vêtements étaient souvent trempés de sueur et couverts de poussière. La machine à laver séchante mise à disposition était très pratique, mais malheureusement, le deuxième jour, la fonction de séchage ne fonctionnait plus, ce qui est vraiment dommage.
La chambre est bien équipée. Le seul petit bémol est que, bien que les équipements soient là, ils ne sont pas tous parfaits. Par exemple, l'enceinte intelligente n'était pas connectée à Internet, rendant les commandes vocales inutilisables. L'établissement devrait probablement s'assurer qu'elle soit connectée.
Globalement, c'est un excellent choix pour ce prix. J'y retournerai sans hésiter la prochaine fois.

SSheryl 宜芬Cleanliness: room was slightly dusty. Spiders and insects in the room, but expected because it has many oriental decorations that require constant cleaning to prevent dust accummulation.
Location: convenient, it’s of walking distance to the north gate, easy to stroll around to different parts of the ancient town.
Service: I have never given a bad review for the service attitude of any accomodations which I’ve stayed at in China, but I honestly think that the service here is mediocre and more reactive than proactive. They fulfil the basics of bringing your luggage up to your room, giving directions to the laundry and breakfast areas and arranging for pick up from the station to the hotel for a stay of at least three consecutive nights. I cannot speak for all the service staff, but the service staff that mainly tended to me during the stay definitely needs to be improved. He was helpful when I needed help for the laundry setting. However, when I needed help with booking tickets to snow mountain (I’m a foreigner and do not have a local number), it was a rather frustrating experience. He shared that the booking of tickets to Yulong Snow Mountain can be done 3-4 days in advance, and he could help me when I arrive at the accommodations. When I arrived, it was 4 days in advance but he was rather nonchalent and did not manage to help me secure tickets for my intended date of visit and had to eventually rely on the tour group to help change dates. The night before the tour visit, I had to reach out on wechat to ask about when and where the meeting point is for the tour. Even after the tour, I even had to ask several times to pay for the tour tickets as he had helped me to secure the ticket to the glacier park cablecar eventually. I had already shared that I could not transfer money on wechat and could only do via scanning his wechat/alipay qr code or vice versa. I feel that given that you guys are located in Lijiang and located near to Jade Snow Mountain, you should have encountered other customers who need help with the booking and this shouldn’t have been such a stressful tour booking experience.
Amenities: they have two all-in-1 washing machine and drying amenities which was rather helpful. In the original room which i had booked, the air con leaked at around 10pm+. I texted the service staff on wechat and another staff came 5-10minutes later to check. This staff said it’s normal for the air con to leak at times especially if it’s blocked. After checking, he offered to change rooms for me. He helped me to move my luggage to the new room. There was no form of apology by any of the staff on the day itself when the incident happened. It was only on the next day when I requested for check-out transportation services to the railway station for the following day, where the staff who mainly tended to be apologised for the aircon leakage and offered complimentary transport services to the railway station.
I’ve stayed in many accomodations in Yunnan but this was the most disappointing stay thus far and I will definitely not be back again.

We stayed here with our family and had a truly wonderful experience. The place is very clean, peaceful, and beautifully located close to nature. What touched us the most was how kind and caring the staff and the owner are. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and always made sure we were comfortable.
During our stay, one of our family members needed to go to the hospital, and the owner and staff personally helped us, even driving us there and taking care of everything. Their support and kindness went far beyond what we expected, and we are deeply grateful.
This is a perfect place for families. There are animals around such as dogs, cats, and birds, which made the experience even more special and joyful for us. The atmosphere feels warm, safe, and welcoming, just like home.
We are very, very happy to have stayed here and truly appreciate everything they did for us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Shangri-La, especially families looking for a caring and heartfelt place to stay.
