We took 2 rooms a twin and a suite. Twin was so tiny you could not really move around. The bathroom also very tiny and the shower and the sink in the same place with no separation. You can shower and wash your hand at the same time…. The suite size was acceptable, but the usb plugs were not working, the shower had no soaps, and flooded the entire bathroom as the water was coming under the glass partition, it was very unpleasant. The cleaning of the rooms does not follow Covid best practices as rooms are turned around within a couple of hours. The receptionist apologies for the delayed check in as the rooms were occupied the night before and were been cleaned “quickly”.??? Finally and in time of Covid, not 1 person was wearing masks, staff (reception and housekeeping) or guests. Aside of 1 dispenser of alcohol gel there are absolutely no measures in place which I find unconscious, irresponsible unprofessional and unacceptable. Sadly even if it seemed to be one of the best rated hotel in Plovdiv, minimal standards are not respected. Very disappointed about the whole experience.

La salle de bain était très propre et même mieux douce, avec une porte qui fermait et ne s'écrasait pas sur le sol, ce qui est un luxe rare et surprenant en Europe. Les petits-déjeuners inclus étaient délicieux et ont une variété d'offres, y compris des œufs très bons, sauce, bacon, toast français, petits pâtisseries, etc. , ainsi que les viandes et fromages froids habituels, le yogurt et les céréales que la plupart des hôtels proposent. Le personnel était très confortable et très aimable, et ils nous ont donné une petite visite de la salle de bain romaine qui a été découverte lors de la construction, qui ajoutait au charme et à l'atmosphère de l'hôtel. Il y a un parking privé, mais nous n'avons pas fini de l'utiliser parce que nous n'avons louer une voiture qu'un jour. Notre seule plainte était que la chambre ait un peu de choses à la nuit, mais nous n'avons pas pu utiliser le climatisation parce que le système central était réchauffé (il était fin octobre) et qu'ils n'ont pas pu passer sur l'A/C à une seule chambre. Nous avons ouvert la fenêtre pour ventiler la chambre, mais nous l'avons fermée pendant le sommeil en raison du bruit de la rue et des gaz d'échappement (pas le problème de l'hôtel, Plovdiv serait bien servi pour limiter le trafic automobile dans cette zone). En général, un hôtel fantastique avec un personnel incroyable et une grande valeur!

It’s hard to imagine how a pocket boutique anywhere could be better. We loved it! Six stars! Location: Near the crest of the historic Old Town, a stone’s throw from the Roman theater, you pass under a spindly boom pole setting the tone that you are entering a special gated community. (Just tell the watch person you are a hotel guest.) Décor: It really is an art gallery. Original paintings by contemporary Bulgarian artists are installed throughout. The little breakfast/refreshment keller has catalogues and books about them. The rooms are few enough that you have the sense of staying in a private home. And the wonderful blending of historic, quirky and contemporary touches results in a delightful envelope of character. Barely open two years, it has the assured demeanor of a comfortable longtime resident. Rooms: We stayed in a Deluxe Room on the top floor. What fun to lie in bed gazing at the stars through matching skylights with electronic controls for the shade and shutter on each side. Good storage, outlets, and sitting space. Bathrobes, luxurious Etro amenities, sleek fittings in the bathroom. A small balcony gave us a view over the city. We took a full, leisurely room service breakfast. Service: The door opened to a warm welcome, a full rundown of the routine, and a chance to pre-order breakfast. Checkout was equally friendly and efficient. There is no elevator, but the evening manager carried our bag up when he showed us the room. Surroundings: Although not immediately obvious, street parking is easy; the historic mansions from various periods are an architectural delight. But be aware, the cobblestone streets are serious; it’s no place for heels! Finally, a note to snobs: Until we checked out, I had no idea I had just stayed at a Best Western. If The BW Premier Collection is an example of their latest foray, I’ll be looking for more stays with them. Bravo!

We stayed here two nights recently and everything was perfect. The rooms were very spacious, the size of a small apartment. Well stocked kitchen and a decent sized bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location was steps away from dozens of different restaurants, they even have one on location. We were also an easy walk from everything we wanted to see in town, with the train station an easy 25 minute walk. Best of all, the folks at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! The offered excellent advice on what to see in town, were super-friendly, and even arranged a cot for our toddler to sleep in, despite ********** indicating none was available (we did email and ask ahead of time; was set up waiting for us in our room). We will certainly look to stay here again the next time we are in town.
