Le Savoy demeure une institution même si beaucoup de choses ont changé en près de 39 ans que j’y vais. Dommage que le nouvel American bar ne soit pas aussi cosy qu’avant…La musique est bien trop forte pour pouvoir discuter…donc si vous aimez le « background music » style disco suivi par un concert de pianiste, c’est l’endroit….quant aux serveurs, ils sont devenus fous sur la glace ! Un whisky sera servi avec un glaçon de la taille de mon poing ! Les gin tonics avec des seaux de glace…

Avantages : Près de la station de métro, à quelques minutes seulement. Il est à environ quinze minutes à pied de Chinatown et de Piccadilly Circus. Il y a un supermarché Tesco Express à une minute ou deux de marche. Inconvénients : La chambre est vraiment petite, et il n'y a pas de place pour se déplacer quand la grosse valise est ouverte. Le porte-papier hygiénique à côté des toilettes est super peu ergonomique et plus court que les toilettes.

A notre arrivée, l’armoire de la chambre ne se fermait pas. Nous avons contacté la réception qui nous a proposé d’aller faire un tour pour régler le problème. A notre retour, nous avons pu ouvrir l’armoire mais impossible de la refermer. Deuxième contact avec la réception qui nous a proposé un cocktail au roof top en attendant. L’armoire était finalement plus ou moins réparée. Première nuit, nous sommes réveillés par la sonnerie du téléphone, personne au bout du fil. Deuxième nuit, à 1h du matin c’est l’alarme incendie qui nous réveille. La réceptionniste continue tranquillement le Check-in de clients quand, avec d’autres clients, nous arrivons à la réception. Aucune communication n’est faite par la suite. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très restreint. Le personnel est nombreux mais pas enclin à s’enquérir du client. La caution de 400 livres prélevée immédiatement sur la carte de crédit à l’arrivée est très surprenante. La restitution de la caution en revanche n’est pas aussi rapide. Habitués des 5*, nous avons été vraiment déçus de cet hôtel. Seule la magnifique et originale réception du 1er étage nous a rappelés que nous étions dans un hôtel 5*. Dommage car l’hôtel est vraiment très bien situé.

Le personnel peut faire un voyage spécial. Nous avons été accueillis par EJ qui était incroyablement utile, charismatique et une personne réelle. Je voudrais également mentionner Monika et Erick, bien que nos chemins n'aient pas cru autant, ils étaient aussi gentils et amis. En ce qui concerne le reste du séjour, tout ce que vous devez faire est de regarder les récentes évaluations. Il était sans spot, accessible, confortable et globalement un endroit très agréable pour rester. Merci, Richard.

Du moment où je suis arrivé au départ, mon séjour était tout simplement idéal et parfait. L'équipe de la réception était très gentille et professionnelle. Découvrir ma chambre 214 a été un moment mémorable car je me suis immédiatement senti détendu dans un environnement aussi zen avec des couleurs magnifiquement et discrètes et un parquet en bois un grand plus. Le lit et les draps étaient tout simplement parfaits pour un sommeil parfait. La nourriture du room service était tellement fraîche et savoureuse. L'eau filtrée fournie est une telle attention réfléchie. Le silence total la nuit est un vrai régal. J'ai visité la belle piscine et regrette de ne pas avoir eu le temps de l'utiliser. Tout a permis un merveilleux séjour, si trop court, et j'espère juste pouvoir revenir un jour. . . Merci d'avoir prévu une atmosphère aussi impeccable, chic et sereine. Meilleur, Jean - Paul CHAILLET

Superbe! On a organisé le 7e étage, la salle administrative a été mise à niveau en suite et on a ajouté un lit petit gratuit. Par rapport à d'autres hôtels de Londres (par exemple, appartements de Halloween, indigo), le service répond rapidement et peut en principe obtenir ce que vous voulez ou le service en 20 minutes. L'hôtel est particulièrement élégant pour ses enfants d'héberger avec un petit passeport waldorfien. Pour terminer l'exploration, trouver la correspondante sticker sur la réception de l'hôtel, vous pourrez obtenir le prix mystérieux (un petit Teddy). Nous n'avons commencé à nous défier que le dernier jour de notre départ, et malheureusement, il n'y a plus de stock de Teddy. Mais l'hôtel a fait tout son possible pour nous aider à trouver la poupée de Teddy. Un gars noir de la réception a appelé son collègue, et a dit: «Le bébé quitte la Grande-Bretagne. Il a traversé toutes les difficultés et il serait très déçu de ne pas avoir Teddy, Aidez les pauvres enfants. Enfin, l'hôtel a envoyé Teddy à la main de l'enfant et envoyé beaucoup de bénédictions. Les boissons administratives sont aussi très belles. Très bonne expérience de séjour, vous réserverez la prochaine fois!

Super accueil de la part de tous les réceptionnistes que nous avons croisé dans le week-end. Ils ont été aux petits soins et arrangeants avec nous. L’accueil dans cet hôtel fait parti des meilleurs que nous avons eu jusqu’à présent. Hôtel très calme malgré l’emplacement en plein centre ville. Lit très confortable et chambre très propre. Je recommande largement ! Thank you so much !!

My daughter and I stayed there for five days before Christmas. The hotel location is very good. It’s just about 10 meters away from the tube exit to the hotel gate. We walked to the Southbank and National Gallery in about 15minutes. From the nearest pier, Embarkment Pier, we took the ferry down to the River Thame. It’s quite easy to get to almost every spot. On the first day, we stayed on the first floor in the Wing. It’s another building linked with the main through a bridge. Although the receptionist explained it was far from the underground, I could still hear the metro running down nearby every five minutes very clearly. The room was also not very clean. There was dust on the kettle. I talked to the front desk and they agreed to help us change to another room on the sixth floor from the second day. (Are the receptionists a bit sly or they just not familiar with the condition of their rooms? I was once a customer relationship officer in a hotel and I am quite doubt about it. But anyway, I can understand.) It was quiet on the sixth floor but as you can see in pictures, the back board of our bed was worn and there were some white raw patches. The room is bigger than the one we had in the 1st floor. I found the the whole Wing from the first to the sixth floor looks old. When I booked the hotel, I remember I saw some information about their renovations. Maybe it’s just within the main building. The main building and the guests room hallways are much better than in the Wing. There were shiny Christmas decors everywhere. So I think maybe the price of the room sin the main are higher than those in the Wing? The staff at the cafe were very friendly and nice. The breakfast there was very limited. Especially the quality of the sausages. There were too much flour in them. I loved the beans and smoked salmon. Coffee and breakfast tea were good, but the milk was too watery.

London has the best and widest variety of boutique hotels. The Henrietta, by the Experimental Group, was a delightful surprise. I took a chance, especially since my significant other had never been to London. I had not been since 2019. The toilet was broken upon our arrival, but they, specifically Christina, proved that good hotels are not just about what is great, but how they handle problems. Within hours, our bags were moved across the street to their newer property. The room had a plush deep red window seat. It was on the 3rd floor -- which given Henrietta Street is now a pedestrian street, is good for eliminating noise. The room was much larger than one I had had at the nearby Charlotte Street Hotel. The Nespresso was appreciated. The soap products were so good we ordered them. The soups, towels, sheets, all the kinetics, were all of a very high quality. The street itself is central to everything but not overwhelmed by its touristy surroundings. Eating on the street was a delight. Oysterman might be some of the best fish I have ever eaten. Frenchie was very good, and easily recommended. Even their own Italian restaurant was very good almost great. The chef had a thing for pepper flakes. Avo was a truly great breakfast with wonderful people. And yes, a lot of avocado. A boutique is intimate so you have to interact with the same staff repeatedly; they were all true professionals in what they did. Thank you, Christina. So says the Outspoken Traveler.
