La chambre avait du shampoing et du savon pour le corps disponibles, et la chambre et la salle de bain étaient propres avec une bonne sécurité. L'anglais n'est pas ma langue maternelle. J'ai vécu en Australie pendant un an et j'ai passé deux semaines en Nouvelle-Zélande, et je n'ai jamais eu de difficulté à comprendre l'anglais auparavant. Cependant, j'ai eu un peu de mal à comprendre l'anglais parlé par le réceptionniste de cet hôtel. Il n'avait pas de sourire, donc je me sentais un peu nerveux.

New concept hotel. Art meets industrial with green credentials. Central garden restaurant and bar is lovely with food and service is excellent. Rooms are small but carefully designed. A few teething troubles as had just opened when we stayed but these will be sorted by a clearly committed team. Gym, spa and small lounges and meeting rooms give a great vibe. Would definitely stay again.

Mon mari est resté ici une fois par hasard et maintenant il est devenu le lieu où il séjourne la plupart des semaines, Grands, propres, tranquilles, équipées de tout ce dont vous avez besoin, cafetière, micro-ondes, télévision à écran, le lit le plus confortable et une vaste salle de bain avec une douche bonne. Mais le meilleur à long terme est le personnel, du service de bienvenue et de soin, vous n'avez pas pu demander plus, peu de touches comme rappeler vos noms, cela signifie beaucoup.... Il faut faire une mention spéciale à Pawan, c'est comme un ami qui vous accueille, un vrai bienvenue ami à chaque fois, vous fait sentir que vous êtes à la maison.

I reserved two rooms on points and arrived from AKL at 630am with my family of 4. I knew we were very early and had expected we wouldn’t be able to check in. We were greeted by Front desk manager Anna (sp?). She initially told us we could store our luggage and use the gym to change our clothes. After a few minutes m, she came back and said she was able to get two rooms for us to check into immediately. It was greatly appreciated. After that, check in was quick. My Diamond status was recognized and was offered free continental breakfast. We were given rooms 109 and 111 which are connecting. The rooms were well appointed and very stylish. Everything was modern from climate control to all the outlets available (including wireless charging areas on nightstands). Don’t worry if you don’t have an adapter here! The mattress is very comfortable, but I didn’t like the pillows. They made my neck hurt. Bath products are Crabtree and Evelyn and the water pressure is great. We did use room service one night and it was delivered within 30 minutes. The crispy Korean chicken was quite good. Breakfast in the restaurant is also good. $20 for continental and $30 for full. Standard options available. All the staff in the morning were friendly and welcoming. The location is about 25-30 mins from AKL, and south of CBD. It’s a good spot to base out of if you are exploring area south of Auckland. There are McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Sushi, and convenience store all across the street (5-10 min walk). This is not a place to stay if you are looking to explore CBD or are looking for a lot retail and food within walking distance. But for us, it was just fine. The entire property is new and there is a great modern style to it. All the staff were courteous and welcoming. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotels during my 2-week stay in New Zealand. It is located in the heart of Auckland’s cbd area and close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, harbor). It is a 6-minute walk to the Sky Tower where you can pick up the Airport Express bus for $17 nzd. The hotel entrance is on a significant incline. The reception is on the 2nd floor which you can take either an elevator or escalator up. The cafeteria and small lounge are to the right of the reception desk. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruits, muffins, and other pastries. Due to the high volume of clients the 2 coffee machines were usually low on milk to make certain coffee drinks. I love the room set up. The closet is across of the bathroom and had plenty of room for your luggage. The shower is enclosed in a glass cube with wave designs. A nightlight in the bathroom saved on electricity if you need a little light to move around the room. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked. The reception staff was kind to let me stay an extra hour past the check-out time for the room that I had with my tour. The room that I booked after the tour was ready early and I got to settle in at 11 am before my afternoon tour. Construction is happening around the hotel with the streets being torn up and a new building under construction next to the hotel. The hotel is well insulated that I couldn’t hear any of the construction.
