The location is great, just a 10-minute walk from the bus hub, and everything is very clean. This is the first hostel I’ve stayed at where the cleaner works at night to tidy up the common room. The room had plenty of space for everyone. I stayed here for 2 nights and booked an 8-bed female dorm. When I checked in at 1 pm, I was assigned to a 4-bed dorm on the 2nd floor. At first, I was the only one there, but a man arrived at 10 pm. I checked with reception, and they apologized for the mistake and moved me to a 4-bed female dorm on the 1st floor. I felt uncomfortable because I was getting ready to sleep and didn’t expect to share a room with a man, as I had booked a female dorm. Moving all my belongings after unpacking was also inconvenient. My second room was still a 4-bed female dorm, even though I had booked an 8-bed dorm. I’m not sure why this happened, but I wanted to share my experience to help the hostel avoid similar issues in the future.

Although check-in time ends at 8pm and we arrived a little after 8 on a long weekend, the concierge was still there so we were able to check in smoothly. If we arrived closer to 9pm, our keys would be stored in a lock box outside with a PIN code sent to our phone for entry instructions. Our 2 Bedroom Apartment was incredibly spacious. We had generous storage, a large living room and dining area. The kitchen had a full sized fridge, a microwave and full sized dishwasher. Both bedrooms had a large integrated study desk, and en-suite. There was a fully equipped laundry in another room connected to the ensuite of one of the bedrooms. They were both master rooms with king sized beds. Inside the lobby there’s a free coffee and hot chocolate machine. There were multiple vending machines for drinks and snacks too, The hotel has free parking and is 100m walk via the parking lot to a shopping centre and dining precinct. The hotel is less than 10mins from the Canberra Arboretum. Really good location, facilities and staff were great. The hotel is low rise but very large with multiple wings and buildings. While we (2 friends) only stayed for 1 night we would love to stay here again in future. This apartment would also be suitable for longer term stays particularly for those needing to go to Canberra for a work trip or a family trip. Checkout at 10am was quick and we could purchase pre-packed to-go breakfast for $10 which was very handy for those needing to head home early on a long weekend road trip. We helped ourselves to free takeaway coffees at the lobby. Only negative is while the apartment is clean, it needs a deep clean for some areas missed.

Heureusement, il n'y avait pas d'autres clients à ce moment-là, j'avais donc l'appartement pour moi tout seul. Il était très spacieux, avec une cuisine entièrement équipée et un grand salon. Le seul inconvénient était qu'il n'y avait qu'une seule salle de bain.
