Staying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East. We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience. Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests. The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal. The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order. The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited. The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant. In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay. I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there. A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.

Super hôtel, les employés sont super professionnels je recommande fortement cet hôtel pour la propreté, la super piscine à débordement avec une vue incroyable sur les montagnes de Mascate . La piscine est ouverte très tôt le matin jusqu’à tard le soir et la salle de sport est ouverte H 24 je remercie fortement les réceptionniste pour leur disponibilités et leur accueil.

Beautifully designed property, new so everything is sparkling clean and it has been constructed to a very high standard. All the staff were really nice and friendly, the hotel was very quiet. It’s located on a quiet beach, with a nice promenade to walk/jog along and a few restaurants along there too. A couple of cons- our bath didn’t hold water so wasn’t useable (it was leaking water). While we are also completely aware that it is an important religious celebration, the pool area was basically a construction site the day before Ramadan while they drilled in decorations- this could have been done a bit more thoughtfully rather than with workmen there (and drilling) throughout the day.

L'hôtel était décevant. Presque tout le monde. Le seul avantage est que nous sommes arrivés à 13 heures et n'avons pas eu à attendre jusqu'à 15 heures. De l'eau et du café ont également été apportés rapidement dans la chambre. Inconvénients : - situé à côté de l'autoroute et face au viaduc, les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas mais le bruit est quand même audible - tout dans la chambre est assez vieux, les toilettes fonctionnent par intermittence, la climatisation est très bruyante la nuit, si vous avez le sommeil léger cela peut déranger - les prises ne sont pas adaptées aux appareils européens ; il faut demander un adaptateur, qui est long à transporter ; - il y a un sèche-cheveux, mais il n'y a pas de type de prise requis dans les toilettes, vous devez l'utiliser à table où il n'y a pas de miroir - le plus désagréable : en sortant de l'hôtel vous êtes attaqué par des chauffeurs de taxi, si vous commandez un taxi même via une demande depuis l'hôtel, vous n'aurez le choix qu'un taxi de luxe pour 12 rials, et si vous mettez un point près de la clôture on peut partir pour 1 rial, et quand le deuxième taxi rentre à l'intérieur puis les chauffeurs de taxi qui lui portent plainte sur le territoire, c'était extrêmement désagréable

Les gars, je ne fais que rarement des commentaires - mais pour cet hôtel, je ne regretterais pas de passer mon temps à écrire un commentaire. La location est excellente, le personnel est très bon et la zone est propre. Recommander totalement et espérer visiter ce lieu une fois de plus

Disappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.

L'hôtel est à 7,8 minutes à pied de la plage de Qurum, et vous pouvez regarder le paysage maritime, mais il n'y a pas de grands magasins à proximité, restaurant. Je suis une fille, voyageant seul, l'expérience de séjour dans cet hôtel est très mauvaise. Premièrement, le taxi à la porte de l'hôtel est un groupe de voiture interne de l'hôtel. Le phénomène de la clientèle est grave et injustifié. J'ai pris une fois, ils ont reçu 10 rées, et enfin, ils ont fait une partie supplémentaire de la route, L'avocat a demandé 2 litres de plus quand il est parti. Quand il est parti, il faut prendre un taxi à l'aéroport, il a emporté un taxi à la porte, mais l'équipe de taxi de l'hôtel a grimpé pour boire d'autres taxis, et il a emporté mes bagages dur dans son propre bagage de taxi, pour dire que le même prix était nécessaire pour prendre leur voiture. Je suis si fort qu'ils sont si forts que je suis si furieuse, ils ne sont pas raisonnables, ils se disputent les uns avec les autres. J'ai détruit le gestionnaire de l'hôtel, le gestionnaire a regardé et il a regardé! Deuxièmement, pendant mon séjour, j'ai été touché par un homme de bière locale qui était à côté de la chambre. J'ai appris que cet hôtel avait un bar, que les commentaires locaux étaient mauvais, et j'ai vu une soeur de fille locale en nettoyant la soirée. . . Il a écrit l'expérience qui lui a été faite et j'espère que les pays qui sont habitants de la région pourront faire référence.

Good, clean hotel! Very near airport. Room service was good. Close enough to main road to try and get normal taxis. Really nice pool with a better than expected infinity pool and view. Really nothing much to complain if I just wanted a well priced, well sited, clean and adequate hotel with a bar, pool, and gym. Service apartments (what I stayed in) are more functional than the main rooms and have more space but puzzlingly, other than the dining table, there’s no study table or dresser or mirror in the bedroom which is a tad annoying as you can’t connect the hair dryer in the toilet for obvious reasons Aesthetic is somewhat sterile though. No interesting design motif and looks rather bland but that doesn’t affect me as much. There’s a bar there although the design, again, doesn’t leave one feeling as if it’s Friday night out.
