Review of Casa Faraona Luxury Residences, Madrid I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Faraona Luxury Residences in Madrid, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and comfort that truly set the tone for our stay. Incredible Room Experience The room we stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. Every detail was meticulously crafted, exhibiting a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The bed was heavenly, adorned with silky sheets that made it feel like a dream. It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. Exceptional Service The service at Casa Faraona was outstanding. The staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, making us feel like valued guests every step of the way. Delicious Breakfast and Free Cocktails One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful spread that catered to every taste, from fresh pastries to hearty options. Additionally, the complimentary cocktails were a lovely touch, allowing us to unwind and enjoy the ambiance of the residence. Prime Location The location of Casa Faraona Luxury Residences couldn’t be better. Nestled in the heart of Madrid, it provided easy access to some of the city’s top attractions, dining, and shopping. We loved being able to explore the vibrant streets and return to our luxurious oasis at the end of the day. In conclusion, Casa Faraona Luxury Residences exceeded all our expectations. With its stunning rooms, impeccable service, delicious breakfast, complimentary cocktails, and prime location, it offers an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to return and make more wonderful memories in this beautiful hotel!

La position est très bonne, proche de la station de métro Principle Pio, va au palais, à la place orientale, à la place solaire, au théâtre, etc. La chambre est très grande, propre, le personnel de l'hôtel aide avec paix et désir, l'attitude est très bonne! 👍

L'hôtel est relativement petit car il se trouve en centre-ville et les taxis sont très encombrés.

We had a mixed experience staying here. On the positive side, the hostel was clean and in a really convenient location, which we appreciated. However, there were a few issues that made our stay quite uncomfortable. Our room didn’t have a proper window, which made it feel very stuffy and poorly ventilated, and unfortunately it triggered our allergies, which we mentioned to the receptionist. The bed was also quite stiff, and the pillows were very thin—we had to fold and stack them just to be comfortable. Noise was another challenge. The neighbouring room seemed to be having a party at around 3am, with very loud music and audible conversations,  which made it difficult to sleep. The staff were polite and friendly, but we didn’t feel we received much practical help when we raised our concerns. We tried to cancel the remainder of our stay due to these issues, but were advised to go through the booking platform. We did this but our request ended up pending for some time as the ”hotel was being contacted” and was eventually declined, which was frustrating. In the end, we decided to check out earlier than planned and book alternative accommodation. Overall, while the cleanliness and location were great, the lack of ventilation, comfort, and noise control made it hard for us to fully enjoy our stay—especially as we were there for our honeymoon.

Le centre de l'hôtel est situé à proximité du métro et à une distance parcourue de Cibeles (arrêt de la ville pour l'aéroport) et d'Atocha (station de train pour les départs vers le sud de l'Espagne). La toilette séparée, la baignoire et la douche sont toujours un signe de bons auberges. Il serait préférable qu'il y ait des cortines individuelles pour les lits et le lit ou le lit pour mettre des petits articles

Le centre de la ville est situé à deux minutes à pied de la rue Gran Via, où vous trouverez tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Le personnel était gentil, les chambres étaient propres et très calmes au 5ème étage :) Dans l'ensemble, vous recommanderiez et reviendrez.

L'entrée est un peu difficile à trouver, mais ce n'est pas un problème. Quand je les ai contactés pour déposer mes bagages, ils ont répondu immédiatement. C'est propre et calme. C'est tout près de la gare et très bien situé.

Nous sommes arrivés à l'appartement à 15 h (check en temps voulu) et nous avons découvert qu'un nettoyeur était encore en pleine voie de nettoyage. L'appartement est entré à 20 minutes de plus et nous avons eu l'impression que le sol n'avait pas été bouché. Nous avons séjourné dans un appartement de 2 chambres, 2 salles de bains, mais le mobilier était très étrange. Bien que la chambre maître était équipée de 2 lits uniques, l'autre petit chambre avec seule porte glissante était avec un lit double. Mon ami est resté dans un appartement de 2 chambres 1 lavabo a une configuration beaucoup mieux, qui est une chambre double et une chambre double (comme recommandé dans le site). En outre, la salle de séjour était un peu sombre. Le personnel de la réception était gentil, utile et efficace. La fourniture de produits de cuisine de base, y compris l'huile, était bonne. L'article de nettoyage et le papier toilette n'étaient pas suffisants pour un long séjour. Nous avons besoin de visiter la réception (opens only 0900-1700) pour obtenir des fournitures supplémentaires. L'appartement est situé dans une position très confortable. 5 minutes de la métro Palos de la Frontera, 10 minutes de la gare Atocha, 2 minutes de Carrefour Express, 7 minutes de Lidl supermarché. Il y a également un autre grand supermarché Dia à proximité. Le bâtiment dispose d'un système de stockage de bagages gratuit dans 3,4 et 5 étages. Vous avez besoin d'un €1 pour utiliser le verrouillage, mais vous pouvez le revenir en retournant la clé.

This review is not about the €9 breakfast charge. I paid for the breakfast because I had eaten it. This review is about how I was treated afterwards. A simple misunderstanding over breakfast escalated into one of the most unprofessional hotel experiences I have ever had. After I politely suggested that the hotel communicate its breakfast policy more clearly to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future, a staff member, Yansel, began shouting at me from outside the hotel, called me back inside, repeatedly accused me of “trying to play with him,” raised his voice throughout the interaction, claimed that he was the manager, refused my request to speak with the General Manager, and aggressively handled my personal belongings. He pushed and kicked my luggage towards the exit, damaged my bags, repeatedly shouted at me to take my belongings and leave, and I also felt mocked while trying to communicate in English instead of being treated with patience and professionalism. As a solo female traveller, I found this behaviour intimidating and completely unacceptable. Guests should be able to raise feedback respectfully without being shouted at, aggressively confronted, or having their belongings handled in this manner. I later spoke with Raul, who was professional, apologised for the way I had been treated, acknowledged that there had been been a misunderstanding regarding the breakfast, confirmed that I was entitled to leave my luggage after check-out, and informed me that Yansel was not the General Manager or the manager. I appreciate Raul’s professionalism. However, that does not change what happened. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at Hotel Mayerling Madrid. There are many hotels in Madrid where guests can expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. In my experience, this was not one of them. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel safe after the way this situation was handled. For that reason, I cannot recommend this hotel and would encourage other travellers to consider alternative accommodation.
