CCalitosNous sommes venus ici sans beaucoup d'informations sur cet hôtel, mais leur hospitalité de la part des personnels était vraiment très grande.
Picked up by hotel car, free sauna, free to use mini bar, great balcony view considering the cost of staying, and also took us to the station again when we left.
Je recommande vivement cet hôtel, et il y a aussi un hôtel sœur nommé Hotel Daniela probablement aussi une grande intuition à partir de mon expérience à l'hôtel Chesa Valese.
Il est très bon pour la famille et le personnel de l'hôtel.
Nous avons vraiment aimé rester là.

HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

IInvitéParce qu'il n'y a pas d'emplacement dans FOCUS, la réception a recommandé cet hôtel. C'est un très vieil hôtel. J'étais inquiet, mais je ne m'y attendais pas. Excellent!

Environnement : Unique sur la rue piétonne
Service : le personnel fait de son mieux pour servir
La nourriture est également excellente, notamment la côtelette de porc grillée, qui est un peu inférieure au tomahawk.

IInvitéI wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Bistrols from Dec 16 to Dec 17.
During my stay, I experienced an incident that left me quite unsettled. Around 20 mins after my check-in to the hotel, another group of tourists (think was a couple) was able to use hotel access card to access my room, we, both parties are shocked and super embarrassed. This situation raised significant concerns about the security protocols in place at the hotel. As a guest, I expect a certain level of safety. If the room was accidentally opened without my presence, I am not sure whether my belongings are going to disappear, this situation made me had just a light sleep throughout the whole stay.
The lack of adequate security measures not only compromised my sense of safety but also made me question the overall management of the hotel. In an age where guest security is paramount, I believe that Hotel Bistrols should prioritize ensuring that all rooms are properly secured and that guests feel safe throughout their stay.
A point to add is that the receptionist has poor attitude towards her service. The whole experience which I would not consider to give this hotel another try in future.
I hope that the hotel will take my concerns seriously and address these issues for future guests.

breakfast is superb and staffs friendly
we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer.
Rooms – 9/10
The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience.
Service – 9/10
The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special.
Dining – 8.5/10
The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it.
Wellness & Spa – 10/10
The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny.
Activities – 10/10
Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable.
Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes.

Le service à la frontière est excellent! Culté, amical et informative. Nous avons également été mis à niveau! La chambre est propre et spacieuse et dispose d'un balcon. En cours de rénovation à la porte de notre séjour en Oct 2024.
Le restaurant de l'hôtel dispose de 2 restaurants, mais il semble que l'un de ces restaurants nécessite une réservation et dispose d'une période de repos. Le restaurant est très bien situé, mais le restaurant est très bien situé.
Les installations spa étaient excellentes. Le séjour serait à la même Ola e encore. Valeur pour l'argent

PPraveen ChanglaniGreat Location and great facilities. It also has a temperature-controlled swimming pool. But Spa services wasn’t very inviting and anyways we hardly had just 2 Nights to stay, so kind of lack of time, as we did The Matterhorn and Gornergrat trips. Overall a great stay!! 👍🏼
