Hôtels à Édimbourg avec petit déjeuner

We loved loved loved this hotel. Clean, comfiest bed we've had in a hotel and the staff was truly amazing. The location is a 10/10. Next to Topping book store and walking distance to all the sights. Also a great hotel for those working or travelling for business. We had to work at the hotel and the WiFi was excellent.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location- the most central. Everything else was pretty bad. I have requested a room with a nice view for our special occasion but was given a room with the view of the industrial back wall. Called the manager and he came and apologised and said there were no other rooms left. The room itself was outdated, looked like a hostel rather than a hotel. We have travelled a lot but this was the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our special occasion was ruined. The room was so tiny that it was difficult to squeeze a suitcase between the bed and the wall. The TV had no internet connected. There was no mini fridge. The bathroom entry door was a squeeze. The toilet was so close to the wall that you would be pushed into a wall. No toilet brush either. For the expensive price paid they didn’t even give us a bottle of water or a biscuit. The restaurant is under refurbishment this time and they provide tea/coffee and pastries on level 3 for breakfast free. There is a limited expensive menu to order from reception to your room if you need. The luggage storage facility is limited. When checking out many people were told there was no more room for the luggage storage and those people had to go and look for the pricey luggage storage outside. We met some people also complaining about the hotel. Will never come back to this hotel again.

L'accueil a été très chaleureux et le service impeccable. Cependant, le restaurant est absolument terrible. Sur la carte, on peut voir des commentaires récents sur les dîners, mentionnant des plats extrêmement gras ou de la viande brûlée, mais personne n'a évoqué les problèmes du petit-déjeuner. C'est pourquoi nous avons dîné au restaurant du Novotel d'à côté, qui était délicieux et pas trop cher. Mais le petit-déjeuner était tout simplement un désastre. Nous n'avons pas compris comment leurs œufs brouillés pouvaient ressembler à une pâte, les hash browns étaient mous et gorgés d'huile, et les œufs au plat, bien qu'apparemment propres et tendres, étaient incroyablement gras dès la première bouchée. Les viennoiseries, comme les croissants, bien que feuilletées, dégorgeaient d'huile au moindre contact. Les champignons sautés avaient un goût de terre prononcé. Le boudin noir, en plus d'être aussi mou et gras que les hash browns, était fortement imprégné d'une odeur de mouton. Les haricots à la tomate gratinés annoncés étaient totalement absents, tout comme les alternatives végétales aux produits laitiers. Ce petit-déjeuner à 11 livres ne vaut absolument rien. Je conseillerais plutôt d'aller prendre le petit-déjeuner au Tesco ou au Costa de l'autre côté de la rue. Je dois dire que je n'ai mangé que trois bouchées avant d'être écœuré, et j'ai dû boire du jus d'orange pour faire passer le tout. Juste après avoir fini, la cuisine a recommencé à faire frire quelque chose, et une odeur d'huile rance est arrivée, j'ai failli vomir dans le restaurant. Et malheureusement, j'ai fini par vomir une fois monté dans ma chambre. Leur petit-déjeuner était tellement gras qu'il était impossible de l'avaler. C'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai seulement mis 3 étoiles pour les installations et 4 étoiles pour l'environnement et l'hygiène. Sinon, en tant qu'hôtel pour passer une nuit avant un vol tôt le matin, c'est l'endroit idéal à Édimbourg.

Le seul reproche que je ferais, c'est que la couette n'est vraiment pas de très bonne qualité. Le drap et la doublure ne sont pas parfaitement enveloppés ensemble, ce qui donne l'impression évidente qu'il n'y a qu'un drap fin pour dormir et que la doublure est ailleurs, ce qui est un peu fin pour l'hiver. Le petit déjeuner est absolument copieux, avec une grande variété d'options et un rapport qualité-prix très avantageux. Édimbourg elle-même n'est pas très grande et se trouve à quelques pas du château, de Princes Street, etc.

La chambre était propre, la partie inférieure est que la chambre était froide et le climatisateur de chauffage n'était pas fonctionnant correctement il aurait un air chaud puis va froid. Quand je leur ai dit à l'inspection, ils m'ont dit que j'aurais dû demander un chauffeur lors de mon entrée, car l'unité n'est qu'un climatiseur, pas ce qu'il dit sur les instructions et qu'il aurait dû être dit lors de mon entrée. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas grand le bacon a été cuit enveloppé, c'était dur et les marrons de hash étaient secs pour vous dire qu'ils étaient cuits dans le four Les tomates étaient juste chauds, une bonne variété, bien que avec cuit, céréales, yogurt, fruits et pâtes.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel that other travellers should know what to expect. I stayed in a single room on the top floor and was very disappointed, especially considering the price. The room was much smaller than I had expected and felt rather cramped. I paid £136 through Trip.com, even with a discount, and I simply did not feel that the room offered value for money. The room looked tired and dated. The carpet did not look very fresh, the furniture was old-fashioned but not in a charming or historic way, and there were marks on the walls that could easily have been touched up. The bedside lamp also appeared to be damaged, as the lampshade was noticeably crooked and could not be adjusted. I would also like to mention that the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed linen was fresh and clean. I knew when I booked that the room did not include a safe or a fridge, as this was mentioned in the description. However, for a four-star hotel at this price, I still feel that a safe and at least a small fridge should be provided. The television was also very small, and overall the room felt very basic for the price and hotel rating. The bathroom itself was a reasonable size, but it was not very practical. There was no shelf above the sink for toiletries, which was inconvenient. In the shower, the large shampoo and conditioner bottles were placed on the floor of the shower, meaning I had to keep bending down to reach them. I would also like to mention that access to the upper floors involves a very steep spiral staircase. I was aware that there was no lift, but I did not expect the staircase to be so steep and difficult to climb. As I was not comfortable in the room, I asked whether it might be possible to move to a different room. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available. I had originally planned to stay in Edinburgh for another night, but I decided to move to a different hotel instead. The location of the hotel is good and convenient for Waverley Station, and the staff were polite and friendly. However, my overall experience did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel, especially at this price. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Les chambres et les salles de bain de l'hôtel étaient vraiment trop petites. On ne pouvait même pas ouvrir la valise sans la glisser sous le lit. La vue depuis la chambre était correcte. L'avantage principal est l'emplacement exceptionnel de l'hôtel, juste en face de HAYMARKET. On peut aller partout à pied, c'est super pratique, et il y a aussi un arrêt de bus juste devant l'hôtel. Le petit-déjeuner était moyen, avec peu de choix. C'était un petit-déjeuner anglais typique, pas mal sans plus. Le service d'accueil était bof, surtout le réceptionniste masculin qui m'a donné le mauvais numéro de chambre. J'avais un numéro de chambre écrit, mais il m'en a donné un autre, et même après deux vérifications, c'était toujours faux. Il avait l'air de ne pas vouloir me parler.

Excellent Location, but Serious Security Lapses I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. While there are some undeniable perks to the property, a few significant service and security issues made for a rather unsettling experience. The Highlights Prime Location: This is easily the hotel's strongest suit. It’s situated right next to Haymarket station, and there is a bus stop literally just outside the front door. Getting into the city centre takes no more than 10 minutes, making it a perfect base for exploring. Commendable Service: The reception team provided a decent welcome. I’d like to give a special mention to Shreyas, who was incredibly helpful and professional throughout our interactions. Quality Dining: We ate at the on-site restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was of a high standard, and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Room Maintenance & Tech Issues Unfortunately, the shine started to wear off once we settled into the room: Housekeeping Oversights: Despite this being a multi-day stay, the complimentary water bottles were never replaced after the first day. Faulty Tech: The in-room tablet was practically useless. It kept restarting due to a battery fault; ironically, it even cut out while I was trying to use it to contact reception. Privacy Concerns: When we requested extra toilet roll, the staff member who delivered it attempted to walk straight into the room using their key, rather than knocking and waiting for us to answer. It was a complete breach of basic hospitality etiquette. A Major Security Concern The most distressing part of the trip occurred on our second day. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we were shocked to find the main door open. It appears the cleaning staff had failed to secure the door after finishing their rounds. Finding your hotel room left open to the public is, quite frankly, scary. It’s a massive security fail that overshadowed the rest of the stay. While the location is brilliant, the hotel desperately needs to tighten up its staff training and safety protocols. Would I stay again? Only if I were certain that the security and maintenance issues had been addressed.

L'emplacement est excellent. L'hôtel est proche de la gare et à distance de marche de nombreux sites touristiques emblématiques. Cependant, l'heure d'arrivée est assez tardive et je ne pense pas que scanner le code-barres soit vraiment nécessaire. Après un long voyage, j'aurais également préféré que le lit soit déjà fait par le personnel plutôt que d'avoir à le faire moi-même, car c'est assez contraignant. Malheureusement, mes colocataires ont été très bruyants entre 1h et 3h du matin. Ils ont jeté les affaires d'un autre client par terre à cause d'un malentendu concernant l'attribution des lits. Je comprends que l'auberge ait fait une erreur en attribuant le même lit à quelqu'un d'autre alors qu'il était encore occupé, mais la façon dont ce colocataire a géré la situation était très impolie et irrespectueuse. Le bruit a fini par réveiller tout le monde dans la chambre.

Bonne auberge dans le centre d'Edimbourg à revoir deux choses : premièrement, elle est divisée en deux bâtiments, vous pouvez en obtenir un autre comme dans mon cas, mais elle est juste de l'autre côté de la rue et deuxièmement, les salles de bain sont dans le au milieu du couloir et il n'y a pas beaucoup d'espace si vous y allez avec des choses mais très propre.
