My daughter and I visited UofSC for a college tour on a very busy weekend in COLA, so accommodations were very limited. I hesitantly booked the Sheraton after reading several poor reviews and rude responses from management. After some research and confirmation on site, I learned that this hotel has a new, and very well liked General Manager as of Dec. 2022. It showed, and I highly recommend a stay at the “new and improved” Sheraton Columbia. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful (Hannah went above and beyond), charmingly old rooms were fresh and very clean, our request for a quiet room (14th floor) was met without hesitation, the location was perfect for walking all over the city and to campus (Uber for longer distance). It would be nice to upgrade offerings in Club Lounge (decent food, wine/beer), but disregard former reviews and give this hotel a fresh start!

Ned is an amazing asset to Hilton. Ned went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A coworker and I sat at the long business table to finish up our workday, Ned made sure to check on us several times and even brought food and drinks to us, even though we were not in the restaurant/ bar area. We were able to relax while we we finished our workday. Ps. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich is AMAZING! Make sure you order one, you won’t regret it.

The king studio suite was spacious, with a small kitchen if you are traveling with family. We were on 4th floor (there are 5), facing the busy roadway, and could hear some noise, even though in my reservation I requested the parking lot side, away from the highway; none were available upon our arrival around 2 PM. I rhink it would have been really loud to be much lower - the hotel itself is atop a steep hill, and that helps. From the looks of the cars in the parking lot, it appeared to be sold out on a Monday. There was a security guard on duty in the lot, which we liked. The evening reception was very nice, with beer and wine, and a Mexican food buffet. That and the also good breakfast choices, made the stay a good value. As my title notes, it was very convenient to the places we visited - even walking distance to Riverfront Park. But that steep hill back up to the hotel would be a challenge - and there is plenty of parking weekdays at the Park.

Je suis resté ici pour une nuit en jouant à un Oktoberfest off site. C'était basalement assez bon. La chambre était moderne et agréable. Il y a beaucoup de bruit de la rue, mais c'était samedi soir. Le parking est dans leur garage et est gratuit. Vous êtes juste donné un pansement de papier pour mettre sur votre poche. Contrôler et sortir étaient fondamentalement bons. J'ai essayé de vérifier et j'ai eu la facture d'un autre par accident. Cela a été corrigé. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas une bonne expérience car je devais acheter un canister d'orange sec pour mettre dans ma micro-ondes. Le café était bon comme Starbucks. En général, si vous restez sur le campus, c'est une bonne option.

Stayed here for a Gamecocks football game. Great to avoid the traffic. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

L'hôtel répond aux attentes, le maintien de la maison est ce qui fait de l'hôtel. Ils sont toujours polis, utiles et ne préfèrent pas à qui ils s'occupent. Ils semblent tous être sur la même page que dans ce qu'il faut faire. Le bureau de front est très utile, courtois et amiable. La seule mauvaise partie est l'hôtel est amiable aux animaux de compagnie pour l'ensemble de l'hôtel. J'aurais été impressionné ou agréable si il y avait au moins un étage pour les gens qui comme moi ne sont pas amiables aux animaux de compagnie.
