The house is an old one, from the 18th century. A beautiful one. Our room was a very large one, very comfortable, a large and comfortable bed and a large and very concenient bathroom. All the comfort you can dream off in a B&B ! David, our guest is a very kind and welcoming man. Tasty English breakfasts are served every morning, at our convenience. It's a bit far from Edimburgh, you have to take the bus to go to the city (for dinner) but the bus stop is very close to the house, easy to find and the buses come regularly. We just want to recommend this place, a very good one. Véronique and Eric France

C'est un excellent et le plus mémorable de l'hôtel, le service était génial, le repas était fantastique, la salle de gym, la piscine et toute l'expérience était unique en son genre, nous avons rencontré Joan, la tutrice de la piscine, elle nous a même appris à nager 💃💃 ❤️❤️. Je recommanderai ici encore et encore. En fait, nous ne savions pas que nous pouvions utiliser l'hôtel pour bénéficier d'une réduction au zoo. La prochaine fois, nous en apprendrons plus sur tout cela. Une très belle vue également dans la chambre 💃💕💕 Merci Auberge de vacances 😍😍😍🥰❤️❤️❤️

Was disappointed and dissatisfied on this particular visit to this hotel!!! We have been coming since it opened 13 years ago on a regular basis, but this time was terrible. Not the staff who are all lovely and can’t do enough for you, particularly Kerry at reception. We didn’t get a sleep on both nights from the noise above us. It was absolutely horrendous and went on almost all night, both nights!!! It sounded as if furniture was being moved. We had already booked up for December this year, but seriously considering cancelling!!!!!!!

We were well pleased with the Torfin. Check-in was easy. Although there is no front desk, the young lady at the bar was available to register me and show me the room. She also carried two of our suitcases up to our room! The room was very pleasant and recently renovated. I don't think there is any A/C, and that could on occasion be a problem. We were comfortable despite the unusually warm weather. My only complaint would be the lack of an elevator, since we had many pieces of luggage. Fortunately the rooms are only up one flight. There is complimentary off-street parking at the adjacent establishment. The price is quite reasonable, especially if booked directly with the hotel. It is near the airport, taking about 8 min. by car. Service is limited, as the restaurant (and thus hotel) closes at 10 p.m. and doesn't re-open until 10 a.m. Breakfast is not available before 10:00.

L'hôtel est près d'une rue dans le quartier, la nuit est très froide, et je suis heureux que l'hôtel ait un chauffage. La chambre est propre et le lit est propre. Il y a peu de choses à manger à proximité de Starbucks et de petit supermarché. Le personnel de service de l'hôtel est bon et très aimable.
