Beautiful hotel with plush furnishings. Hotel rooms were super nice and very comfortable beds. Location couldn't be better - it was walking distance to everything we wanted to do or a short ride over for anything further out. Food at the restaurant was great too. Honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The best part of our stay were the staff. They were the nicest, most hospitable and friendly people that went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure we were having a great time. We regretted not hugging every single person that went out of their way to look after us (it was all of them). We'll be back!

We stayed here 2N at the start & 2N at the end of our 12D tour. Each time the hotel bellhop was ready to assist us. Cannot say the same for the Reception staff. The 2nd time we were even given a room that we could not even lock and after waiting for some time and still not allocated a new room, we insisted that we be given one asap and they had no choice but to upgrade us. No tourist information was also given and when we asked for a map, they flipped through files and then said that there was none left. Surely, they could photocopy one from their file. We then asked directions to the river and all they told us was that it was too far to walk. We told them we had looked it up before we came to Vietnam and it was within walking distance. It is less than 2km away. The good points of the hotel is that it is very conveniently located opposite Ben Thanh Market and within walking distance to the river, Saigon Opera House and the Saigon Centre/Takashimaya where there were plenty of food choices. The buffet breakfast is also good enough with both Western (scrambled eggs/sausages/ham/salad/plain pastries) and Asian (congee/soup/rice with veg/fish/meat), a fruit juice/tea/coffee/fruits/yoghurt. Just be warned that the hotel's entry is via a flight of stairs. Hence, not suitable for those requiring wheelchair access or the very elderly.

The location is good with nearby Ben Thanh market and walking distance to other places like Takashimaya and Saigon Square. However the room was quite run down and the water was leaking for our toilet and towel rack was spoilt. Otherwise,still acceptable. When booked, I requested for 2 connecting rooms. Hotel replied said kept aside for us 1 only. I reminded the hotel 1 week before our arrival and was told still only 1 available which I was ok. When arrived, they said none available as fully booked. What a disappointment!

This is a lovely hotel which is situated within easy reach of the Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum and the Ben Thanh market. Everything you need is there and it is only 30 minutes from the airport. All the staff were excellent. Booked it via Trip.com. I recommend it.

Totally agree with the other negative reviews given on this. I've made a mistake with the date booking and I've acknowledged it that it is my fault. Retour à l'hôtel et a réalisé que la réservation était pour la nuit dernière et le personnel de l'hôtel Duyen, qui a abandonné son service client sur moi quand nous avons réalisé que ma date était erronée, la réservation était pour la nuit dernière, signe, J'ai payé le service zéro (en considérant que j'ai payé le petit-déjeuner buffet pour deux aussi). Oui, j'ai fait une erreur, c'était une erreur honnête. Je me suis demandé si un arrangement différent est possible, c'est changer la date, ou quelque chose de tout. Ils m'ont dit que l'hôtel était entièrement réservé, mais de quelque façon si j'ai payé 115 % supplémentaire sur mon réservation originale (coût) Je peux avoir la chambre pour la nuit (mais elle m'a informé que l'hôtel est entièrement réservé?), appelé le fournisseur de réservation pour l'aide, et ils étaient plus que heureux d'aider à changer de date ou de différente arrangement etc si l'hôtel était également approuvé, l'hôtel ne coopérera pas en raison de leur t et c non remboursables, J'ai accepté cela (bien que je note que tous les autres hôtels que j'ai séjourné permettent des arrangements différents pour une situation similaire), a donné à Duyen le retour d'information que j'ai été traité différemment par elle (service défavorable) par rapport à ses clients existants, comme si je ne suis pas un client, Comment cela a-t-il un sens? lorsque l'hôtel vous prélève pour aucun service (ils ne doivent pas nettoyer votre chambre, laver vos serviettes, vous avez servi le petit déjeuner), mais vous n'obtenez aucune priorité dans votre enquête, a été faite pour attendre, pas de boissons bienvenues, rien. Elle a répondu avec une langue du corps « alors quoi ? » (levant son épaule gauche), j'ai été choquée par toute l'attitude.

Nous sommes arrivés tard à la nuit et avons connu une bonne réception de la table de front. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et la chambre était propre et confortable. I have booked a VIP room costed about SGD 100 per nite for 2 nites. The photo shows a jacuzzi in the room! Upon check-in the room, I found the room a bit dark with dark walls, even with the curtains of the doors to the balcony opened. I have to repaired the right bedside light to make it lit. The TV remote has run out of batteries & the hair dryer is not working. I have to ask the house keeping to change it. The room is spacious with a outdoor balcony for smokers, as there is an ashtray there despite of my booking request for a non-smoking room. The balcony is facing a white wall of the next building!?! So no nice view from the balcony. Double basins are good but the jacuzzi is not working! Just treat it as an oversized bathtub. Feedback to the front counter & the answer is all jacuzzis in the hotel are all not working!?! This should be stated at the point of booking. I felt like being scammed to book a non-working jacuzzi VIP room! There are no face towels, just a medium sized towel & 2 large bath towels. The white floor towel is already stained & wet when I checked in. The aircon is weak even I have set it to full blast. However, the room is quiet without the infamous Vietnam traffic noise. There is no nite light leading to the bathroom in the nite, I have to switch on & off the lights when using it during sleep. The toilet bowl is located in the dark corner without lights. Do avoid throwing toilet paper into the bowl which would choked it. I learn it the hard way! The digital lock of the door sometimes refuses to lock. So do check if the door is lock when going out. The location of the hotel is perfect facing the famous Ben Thanh market. Shopping, eating & money changing are not a problem. There’s is a pharmacy in the left of the hotel & jewellers at the right for money changing. Most jewellers are unofficial moneychangers. This would be my first & last stay with this hotel,as there are plenty of other hotels nearby if I wanted to stay near the Ben Thanh market for my future trips. I do not mind paying but do not scam me.

False advertising… opposite of what is described and shown on website. Desk clerk was friendly and as helpful as he could be. Some better place needs to hire him… he has potential that won’t be recognized or appreciated there. We booked the best room in the place and upon arrival, was told the room was broken and we were given a different room. It was dirty and more than a little out dated. The king bed was two twins pushed together. The door did not close tightly, and spotty air conditioning. We felt unsafe for the first time while in Vietnam. I talked to front desk clerk, and after a couple hours, our original room was available. It was better, but still in bad shape. This hotel is in a VERY sketchy area. We were targeted by a local ****, who followed us upon our leaving hotel. The market was across the street. And he followed us into it. I watched him watching us, and walked over and stared right into his eyes… we didn’t see him again. AVOID that market!!! Bottom line… it is a disgusting hotel in a disgusting part of town. Our HMC experience was tainted by this hotel. I’m sure we would have a different impression if we’d stayed somewhere else.

Very modern, new, clean, and neat hotel. Nice balcony for the Family Room. Bathroom comes with rainforest shower that is strong. Room has a flat screen TV, mini fridge, and safe. Many eateries just downstairs the hotel, including Xoi Ga Ut Map Number One (famous for sticky chicken rice), Bun Rieu Ganh (famous for tomato soup noodles), Ben Thanh Market with lots of Vietnamese food options, and the Japanese restaurants along a certain street. Convenience Store Circle K is downstairs the hotel. Many places of interest within walking distance of this hotel eg Takashimaya, Notre Dame Cathedral, HCMC Post Office, Independence Palace, War Raments Museum. Very friendly and helpful hotel security staff and front desk staff. We were served a vet nice welcome drink that tasted like lime juice. Hotel rates are very value for money. Highly recommend to stay here!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. If you love to eat and shop, it is just 2 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market. 7 mins walk to Huynh Hoa where you can buy Bahn Mi. 9 mins walk to Saigon Square. If you run out of money, money changer is just around the corner. The hotel room and toilet are spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast is worth to avail. Great hotel staff. I will definitely book again in this hotel.

Nous avons aimé notre séjour à l'Hôtel Halo. Nous n'avions pas pu choisir un meilleur endroit au cœur de l'action. Le musée de guerre, Notre Dame, la rue Bui Vein, le bâtiment Bitexo et le marché Ben Thanh sont à deux minutes. Le personnel est grand et attentif et rapide pour traiter toute question. Le petit déjeuner est rempli. Vous pouvez être buffet si un grand groupe est dans ou individuellement si vous êtes plus calme. Le choix est petit mais juste pour le budget. Je lui donne deux pouces et je resterai certainement à nouveau quand il sera de retour au Viêt Nam. Wifi au septième étage n'a pas fonctionné mais avait quelques problèmes avec mon téléphone.

Un hôtel très bien situé et calme pour ce qui est des chambres cotés cour. Par contre le personnel est au service minimum , contrairement aux indications d'autres voyageurs il n'y à pas de petits déjeuner. Je pense qu'il y à beaucoup mieux dans le même quartier d'autant plus qu'en ce moment il y à des travaux et ça tape dans les murs toute la journée.
