Nous avons visité le gibier dans la forêt Kakamega – mais le Rondo Retreat a tiré son chemin dans nos cœurs. Le personnel était très bien et il était un endroit tranquille pour rester 3 nuits – nous aurions pu facilement rester pendant plus de temps. Les chambres et la cuisine sont simples, nous avons apprécié le dîner à la lumière de la bougie et le thé du après-midi (fabriqué avec du thé Rondo localement cultivé) et vous pouvez apporter votre propre alcool, qu'ils vous réfrigéreront. NB Il n'y a pas de Wi-Fi, il n'y a pas de couverture téléphonique mobile assez limitée et ils ne peuvent pas prendre des paiements de carte de crédit, donc apporter de l'argent pour les boissons douces. Le Rondo a son propre guide d'oiseaux local et ils ont été très utiles à organiser des transferts aéroportuaires et un petit déjeuner précoce. Le grand accueil de la ville est très bien placé.
