Deuxième séjour de 14 nuits dans cet hôtel. Idéalement situé sur une magnifique plage à proximité de restaurants et bars de plage. L'hôtel est un peu vieillissant depuis notre dernière visite en 2017. Les parasols à la piscine comme à la plage seraient à changer (déchirés, sales ...), les peintures, joints, carrelages dans certaines chambres garden view pourraient être refaits. Les chambres vue mer, sont elles, plus récentes ou ont été rénovées. C'est un véritable havre de paix, calme car assez excentré des bars bruyants. Il y a une belle végétation, c'est un lieu authentique, purement thailandais. Le personnel est vraiment agréable, toujours souriant et prêt à vous rendre le séjour au top. Le petit déjeuner est merveilleux, il y a de tout. A savoir, pour les personnes ayant des difficultés à marcher que l'hôtel est un peu en hauteur donc il y a une côte à grimper pour sortir de l'hôtel. Il faut compter ensuite 10 bonnes minutes de marche pour aller dans le centre où il y a les restaurants et bars. C'est un hôtel que je conseille surtout pour les couples mais nous y sommes allés avec les ados de 15 ans et ils ont adoré être seuls dans une villa avec piscine. Nous retournerons avec plaisir à l'Ammatara car c'est un lieu dépaysant, sur une plage à couper le souffle avec un personnel aux petits soins.

Le petit déjeuner est précédé d'un jour, le lendemain, il a un bon goût intime ～ Nous avons mangé au restaurant de l'hôtel à midi, c'est un accident! Super délicieux! Je manque encore leur restaurant de maison, vraiment délicieux, leur maison est toujours le restaurant rouge en ligne! L'environnement de l'hôtel est également bon, le paysage est très bon, la chambre est très nouvelle, la piscine est aussi très belle, les gens ne sont pas nombreux, ils nagent très libres ～ Bien aimé ～ Habites généralement très confortables et relaxants ～ L'attitude du personnel est également bonne! Amour l'amour! La prochaine fois que je vais à Sume, je vais vraiment rester à nouveau. Je suis resté 3 nuits cette fois. La prochaine fois, je vais rester une semaine! Hahaha, je mangerai sur la mer la nuit, particulièrement romantique ～ Le gâteau de la chaussure de leur famille! C'est très gentil ～ particulièrement bon! 😋 Le chef est super! I will start this review with the ultimate praise - often on Agoda you see the photos, get excited and book, and are totally underwhelmed when you get there because the photos were about 10 years old. NOT THIS TIME, the photos did not do our bungalow justice. It was soooo much better than the photos (something I've never said before). There were 2 disappointments. Firstly, it is advertised as wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible IT IS NOT!. To check-in you have to climb half a dozen steps. The road through the resort had newly laid stone chippings. It would take super-human strength to propel a wheelchair through that. The pathway to the bungalow was difficult to get on to from the road because of a double step, and then, combined with encroachment by undergrowth it was too narrow to manoeuvre safely (my wife went off the path twice). Finally, to get into the bungalow there were 5 steps. To get to the bedroom there were a further 3 steps, and to get to the bathroom, you had to climb 2 steps and down one. Fortunately, my wife isn't totally wheelchair bound, and we managed. This misrepresentation could cause totally disabled visitors a lot of grief. Secondly, the restaurant was closed down. In every brochure you see, the restaurant is shown as a selling point. The bungalow had everything we needed, and was more than perfect, although TV channels were lacking (just 3 - 1 Portuguese, 0 Thai and 2 German channels I think). It was OK though - I used my laptop + HDMI lead. Internet was very good. If I go to Samui again, I will definitely consider this resort again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Nous avons séjourné dans la villa numéro 3 depuis 3 jours au début de notre vacances. Elle a créé un groupe Whatsapp pour nous joindre et ajouter une grande quantité d'informations locales pour nous permettre de le faire pendant notre voyage. Ils ont organisé tout ce que nous voulions pendant notre séjour. Nous avons également eu une petite question avec une douche et nous l'avons rapporté en utilisant le groupe. Un ingénieur est venu et a obtenu une partie et a réparé la douche dans une heure. La villa est magnifique, grandes chambres, excellentes installations. La piscine était grande et était en usage constant avec 3 adolescents. Nous étions très retardés avec jet, donc passés les premiers jours d'acclimaison et beaucoup de temps dans la villa. Le personnel nous a aidé à trouver des produits de vente, etc. et nous a préservé notre réfrigérateur avant notre arrivée. Le centre de la ville est très bien situé, le centre de la ville est très bien situé.

I booked Rocky’s mainly because it was “starred” in Lonely Planet, and the price did not feel outrageous for what appeared to be a fine looking and well-reviewed resort. Somewhere to enjoy for a few days at the end of a long work trip in Asia. Initial doubts over it not being directly adjacent to the main Lamai beach were quickly banished. In fact, after my one visit to Lamai beach, the southern end of which is about a 15 minute walk from Rocky’s, I was only too pleased to return to the peace and tranquillity of the hotel. I stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the garden pool. The room was amazing: huge, beautifully appointed with great balcony/terrace, and a huge bathroom. Within 30 seconds you are swimming in the garden pool, or within a leisurely couple of minutes, can be swimming in the sea or the hotel pool next the beach. The beach itself is small, yes, but it’s right next the hotel pool, and feels safer and less steeply-shelving than nearby Lamai, and is pretty much for the exclusive use of Rocky’s residents. There is a great beach-bar by the pool and the whole place feels just the right size. There is an old offshore reef you can kayak to at low tide, and have a swim off there. The water is a little clearer and stays waist to chest deep for some way. But if you go out there, make sure you wear some sort of footwear as the coral is sharp at that spot. The headland makes the cove calmer during higher winds than at Lamai. The water at all the beaches the week I was there was not so clear but there were a lot of storms so that tends to churn things up a bit. Brilliant, attentive and helpful staff throughout. Food was excellent, even if some dishes and drinks seem a little overpriced. The setting, location and high quality accommodation more than compensated. Plus, you could order food up to quite late, and always someone at the bar to serve you a drink well into the night. For a change of dining scene there are a number of really good restaurants very nearby. Scooter hire is pricier than in town (relatively speaking) but there’s a certain peace of mind knowing you’re booking through the hotel. Even with its Lonely Planet approval, Rocky’s is an understated gem of a hotel/resort on this island.

J'arrive juste à la fin d'un beau séjour de 3 nuits ici. Le personnel était très sympathique et accueillant et notre chambre était incroyable ! Nous étions dans la chambre 213 et avions un coin chambre fantastique ET toute une cuisine/salle à manger/salon dans la pièce voisine, avec du champagne à l'arrivée ! Le petit déjeuner était parfaitement bon. Pas le plus grand choix mais absolument satisfaisant, tandis que le happy hour entre 16h et 18h au bar de la piscine était fabuleux. Je vous conseille le Rum Punch 👍 réalisé par Geng, qui a réalisé quelques cocktails craquants sur les 3 jours. Il se trouve à 5 minutes en taxi de la plage de Lamai. Demandez peut-être le charmant Mohammed à la réception qui est souvent disponible pour vous conduire en taxi jusqu'à la ville. Je reviendrais certainement !

Excellent séjour passé au X2. L'accueil a été formidable avec un personnel très sympathique et très compétent ayant toujours le souci de faire plaisir aux clients. Le spa est haut de gamme avec notamment Kwan, l'adorable Tone, Orange,Ai... Remerciements particulièrement à Thorn, Sonia, Teree et à Tranee (Rio) pour leur extrême gentillesse. La villa avec piscine était merveilleuse ainsi que la piscine principale. J'ai apprécié le calme d'un hôtel bien intégré dans son environnement et la quiétude du lieu. J'ai hâte de revenir. Bravo à toute l'équipe.
