Hôtels près de Gare d'Otaru, Otaru

L'endroit est absolument somptueux et féerique ! Nous y sommes allée en mars, un groupe de trois amies, et c'était magique. La chambre était parfaite, le service excellent. Les personnes étaient si gentilles. Le bain chaud privé est vraiment un plus. Nous avons passé une incroyable soirée. Le repas est bon, les produits de qualité même si nous n'avons pas tout mangé car certaines choses étaient très étranges pour notre palais de françaises. Merci également à la masseuse ! We booked the best room on the top floor and spent 7 nights at this high end and extremely expensive ryokan/hotel. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: The food is amazing in terms of presentation, gastronomy and service. The place is immaculately clean. The views a fantastic! We got comfortable Yukatas and overall the place has a very nice traditional vibe.  CONS: They seem to be completely inapt in hosting people who don’t speak Japanese. No one speaks English at this place. None at all! They write that we can “press 9 and call the reception”, but once you do it – you can’t have any conversation with anyone at all. Even when you get down in person to the reception, no one can really communicate with you, even with Google Translate.  They exhibit zero flexibility. The approach is – it’s our way or the highway. All is extremely polite, but no left, no right! Can we have a laundry service arranged? The answer is “no!”. Can we communicate with you via WhatsApp or email? – No! Can we come later to breakfast? No. Can we have dinner at a later time, since we can’t come earlier just this one day? No! Basically, if you want to sleep a bit later during your vacation – forget it! Either show up at 8 or 8:30 am for breakfast, or go hungry! Can we buy your Yukata? – No! Also, we were asked to indicate every day what time we intend to go out – something that adds pressure, as  on vacation one may want to improvise, rather than plan ahead their outings.  Given that this place charges exuberant prices, the lack of the most basic hospitality features (communication, laundry, customer-focused flexibility) is astounding! We now staying at another Ryokan, 90 minutes away and see that everyone can speak some English and the place is much more focused on the needs of a foreign traveler, as opposed on preserving the holy rigidity of an existent system.

It's an interesting experience as the hotel is situated at the outskirts. The onsen in the room is perfect, with a perfect seat view. Room is pretty old school and big. As the location is pretty remote, there isn't much night activity around. It is pretty kind of the hotel to offer shuttle service to Otaru JR.

Cozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

Vue imprenable sur le jardin Le jardin de la maison d'hôtes est véritablement captivant ! Des plantes et des arbres soigneusement entretenus sont disposés en entrecroisement, les fleurs se balancent au gré du vent, et les papillons et les abeilles voltigent. Un véritable romantisme ! S'y asseoir et s'imprégner de cette atmosphère naturelle fera disparaître toute fatigue. Une multitude de détails bien pensés Les petits objets décoratifs de la chambre sont incroyablement élégants, chacun racontant une histoire. On y trouve également des calligraphies de personnages célèbres, dont chaque trait exhale un parfum d'art. La maison d'hôtes est imprégnée d'un patrimoine culturel exceptionnel, donnant l'impression que chaque personne qui y séjourne est devenue une œuvre d'art. Les espaces communs sont très pratiques. La cuisine commune est propre et vous permet de préparer vos propres repas. L'espace détente propose des livres et du thé, parfaits pour se détendre et discuter entre amis. L'endroit est imprégné de l'essence même de la vie quotidienne, vous donnant l'impression d'être chez vous. L'emplacement est fantastique ! Facile d'accès. Bien qu'à l'écart du quartier animé de la gare d'Otaru, le quartier environnant est incroyablement calme et reflète l'atmosphère locale. Le musée d'Otaru et le musée des croisières, un lieu prisé pour poster des lettres d'amour, sont également facilement accessibles. Les transports sont également pratiques, ce qui permet de se déplacer facilement. Les restaurants à proximité offrent un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Le marché matinal de Rinyu, situé à proximité, offre un meilleur rapport qualité-prix que le marché de Sankaku. Vous pourrez y déguster un crabe frais et dodu, fraîchement cuisiné, pour seulement 2 000 yens. La cafétéria de la maison d'hôtes propose également une grande variété de plats délicieux. Conclusion Avec son ambiance japonaise raffinée, ses charmants jardins, son souci du détail, ses installations communes complètes et son emplacement privilégié, la maison d'hôtes Otaru Nishikien est devenue un élément indélébile de mon expérience à Otaru. J'y ai ressenti la chaleur d'un chez-soi alliée à la nouveauté du voyage. Si je devais revenir à Otaru, j'y retournerais sans hésiter. Je la recommande vivement à tous ceux qui prévoient un voyage à Otaru ; je suis sûr que vous ne serez pas déçus.

Vous vous sentirez confortable et relaxé, comme si vous vous sentiez et tuiez à votre maison. Nous sommes 4 pax et nous avons séjourné 1 nuit, mais vous sentez homieux et humilde dans tout ce qui est ici. Notre chambre peut s'adapter 4-6 pax. Pls profiter ici si vous aimez le style anglais pays!!

This apartment offers a practical and comfortable stay, especially for those looking to explore Otaru on foot. We appreciated the basic utensils and cutlery provided, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats. Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot.

Positive: 1. Great Location decent size room with double sized beds with big space to move around compare to most other Japanese hotel 2. love the indoor parking at basement garage, especially during winter no snow cleaning required every morning. Negative: 1. lift is out of service, very inconvenient for people with big luggage, had to carry all the way up to the 3rd Floor. 2. Fake carpets on stairs, almost tripped over couple of times. 3. Owner never responds when assistance needed, upon on check-in, the pin code been given is useless because the room door are always unlocked, actual key is placed on the table in the room. Tried to contact the owner via WeChat WhatsApp line phone calls none of above responded, just seemed like the hotel is unmanned the whole time. 4. Had a little incident one morning where one of the guest parked his car right front of the parking garage door, which blocked my way out, again had to contact the owner, never responded, got no choice but to contact police for help.
