We had an incredible stay at Zen Ju Qing Cheng Mountain — one of those rare places that feels less like a guesthouse and more like stepping into someone’s way of life. What truly made the stay unforgettable, were the owners, Colin and Xiaoxiao (Show). They are genuinely, unbelievably kind — the kind of hospitality that goes far beyond service. From the moment we arrived (after the small work-out of walking up an intense hill), we were welcomed like long-lost family. Other guests — many of them regulars — immediately included us and urged us to try local delicacies they brought, which says a lot about the atmosphere Colin and Show have created. There are so many small moments that stand out: being greeted with coffee in the morning (they take coffee very seriously, in the best way), tea in the afternoon (which they take just as seriously, it turns out!), and the constant sense that nothing is too much trouble. Whether it’s helping with transport, sharing local tips, or just making sure you’re comfortable, everything is done with warmth and sincerity. The setting is beautiful and serene, tucked into the mountain with a stunning courtyard full of flowers and greenery. You can tell Colin, one of the owners, has a real gift for it — everything feels alive and thoughtfully cared for. He even treks into the mountains to pick wild tea, which gives you a sense of how deeply connected the place is to its surroundings. That attention to detail carries through everywhere: fresh flowers in the rooms, calm design, and incredibly comfortable bedding. It’s one of those places where you start to wonder what a slower, more intentional way of living might feel like. Even just for a few days, you get a glimpse of that. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat with real soul — not just a place to stay, but an experience shaped by genuinely exceptional people — this is it.

An Unforgettable Stay with ”Superhuman” Service in Weishui Memory Hot Spring ”Our first trip to China was made unforgettable thanks to the incredible team at this hotel. Located right in the heart of the vibrant Tai’an Ancient Village, the hotel is surrounded by lively local shops and friendly faces. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted at the door by the owner (or manager) who personally helped with our luggage and escorted us to our room. Despite being busy preparing the restaurant on the first floor, every single staff member paused what they were doing just to wave and smile at us. It’s rare to find such a warm, genuine welcome these days! A special shout-out to the receptionist who rushed from the kitchen to assist us. Even though there was a language barrier, their 'service level' was god-tier. She skillfully used a translation app and even created a WeChat group with 8 staff members just to ensure the two of us were well taken care of! Truly mind-blowing hospitality. Our room on the 3rd floor (yes, there’s an elevator!) was pristine. We loved the welcome tea set, the natural light from the sunroof, and the stunning panoramic window view of the ancient village. It felt like stepping into a classic martial arts novel. We fell in love with everything here—the hotel, the village, and the mountain. Our only regret is staying for just one night. Next time, we’re definitely booking for a full week!”

Excellent séjour, j'y retournerai sans hésiter. Le propriétaire est très attentionné. Mon enfant voulait jouer un peu plus longtemps, mais l'heure de départ était passée. Le propriétaire nous a proposé de partir un peu plus tard et a autorisé l'enfant à prendre une douche dans la chambre, sans aucun problème. Nous avions besoin de médicaments frais, et le propriétaire a immédiatement congelé deux bouteilles d'eau pour nous. Au moment de notre départ, il nous a même offert des pains de glace. Le petit-déjeuner était également inclus. Quelle générosité ! Lors de mon prochain séjour à Dujiangyan, que ce soit pour une retraite estivale ou des vacances, je choisirai sans hésiter cette maison d'hôtes. Confortable, en pleine nature, et tout simplement géniale !

L'hôtel était très bon et très grand. Le service était incroyablement manquant du personnel de l'hôtel. Le personnel du restaurant était très rude et n'était pas adéquat pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. Nous avons pris des photos avec le paquet inclus et ils étaient très professionnels et patients. Ils méritent tous les prix pour être la meilleure partie du séjour. Les équipements de la chambre étaient un peu vétustes et la lumière un peu tamisée. À part cela, tout le reste n'était que positif : le service de majordome était excellent et attentionné, et presque tout le personnel était chaleureux et amical, que ce soit au restaurant thaïlandais, au restaurant chinois, au restaurant du petit-déjeuner, au Moon Bar, sur la place de loisirs ou à la ferme. On y rencontrait toujours des sourires sincères et chaleureux. Les photos de voyage proposées par l'hôtel étaient également très bien ; le photographe a même apporté des accessoires amusants. Bien que notre enfant n'ait pas été très coopératif pendant la séance, le résultat final a été étonnamment bon et l'effet était superbe 👍 L'hôtel est également très pratique pour se rendre au mont Qingcheng. On peut prendre la voiturette électrique de l'hôtel jusqu'à l'entrée arrière, traverser la route et on est à l'entrée du site. Pour le retour, il suffit de s'organiser à l'avance avec le majordome et l'hôtel enverra une voiture nous attendre à l'entrée arrière, c'est très pratique ! Le dernier jour, le majordome nous a même surclassés dans une villa avec source chaude et avait déjà rempli la baignoire, c'était vraiment très attentionné !

It truly felt like being back home. The host was very friendly and welcoming, making guests feel comfortable from the moment of arrival. A simple yet satisfying breakfast was provided, including porridge, soy milk, pau, corn, potatoes, and other vegetable dishes. The heating was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly through the night. The place looked exactly like the photos, and soaking my feet before bed made the stay even more relaxing.

1. La chambre était spacieuse, le lit et la salle de bain grands, et l'eau chaude abondante. Le lavabo était également de grande taille. Cet espace généreux a rendu le voyage facile et relaxant, comme à la maison. La chambre était entièrement équipée, dans un style chinois moderne, simple et élégant. 2. Le service était excellent. Les deux jeunes femmes étaient souriantes et très aimables. Elles nous ont spontanément donné des conseils de voyage et se sont régulièrement assurées que nous ne manquions de rien au petit-déjeuner. Les deux jeunes hommes étaient non seulement beaux, mais aussi très enthousiastes. Notamment le jeune homme qui nous a accueillis le premier jour : il est venu nous chercher au pied du mont Qingcheng et nous a proposé de nous emmener en ville. Ce service nous a fait sentir incroyablement bienvenus. 3. L'environnement naturel était harmonieux. Le chien de la maison d'hôtes était doux et adorable, affectueux sans être collant. Il acceptait d'être nourri sans voler de nourriture et interagissait avec les gens lorsqu'on le caressait. Il a même remué la queue quand vous êtes monté dans votre voiture avant de partir. En bref, ce séjour a été fantastique et je reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain voyage au mont Qingcheng.

這次入住民宿的體驗非常好。到民宿之後小狗66非常熱情的來迎接我們，前台服務人員態度親切，民宿的衞生狀況極佳，乾淨整潔的環境讓我感到舒適和放鬆。由內到外，無論是床單，毛巾還是公共區域，都維持得井井有條。民宿提供的設施同樣也一應俱全，使我感覺賓至如歸，我為他們的服務點贊。負責人和員工都十分友善，他們有當地的村民很熱心的告訴我們哪裡好玩有什麼特產！他們的周到和熱情讓我深受感動。店裡還有很多小動物小羊、小狗都非常可愛，我和我朋友都非常喜歡這家民宿，很幸運的還看到了雪山！！！下次來青城山還要繼續定他們家，推薦大家都來！！！

L'hôtel était pratiquement vide, sauf pour nous, mais le personnel était professionnel. Les chambres étaient un peu moins loin sur quelques points - mais dans l'ensemble, il était extrêmement agréable et en pleine dépendance dans d'autres zones. C'est une ferme de thé travaillant. Nous nous réveillons tôt pour collecter des feuilles de thé pour l'expérience (gratuit mais valant 68 yuan) et si vous recueillez assez, vous pouvez le prendre au maître de thé pour ensuite expérience de friser le thé dans un trou pour transformer les feuilles fraîches en thé vert sec. Les sacs de thé dans les chambres sont faits par l'hôtel lui-même et goûtent très bien. Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables. Le truc privé est grand et a été jeté avec un sac à herbes à la maison pour un bain médical. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une vue excellente - et je MUSSE louer le nombre incroyable de commutateurs de lumière qui vous permettent de disposer d'une combinaison d'atmosphère lumineuse. Les petits décharges - les moustiques viendront à vous dans la région d'Alfresco pendant les repas, je me serais assis à l'intérieur la prochaine fois. Nous avons aussi dû faire la douche pendant longtemps avant que l'eau chaude ne sortisse. Les sockets de charge sont un peu affamés avec beaucoup de poussière dans les sockets et certains outils ne fonctionnent peut-être pas en fonction de votre chance. Le W/C intelligent est également légèrement mal fonctionnant, mais fonctionne en grande partie comme prévu.

I liked the (Chinese-style) breakfast. The staff was helpful and they even took me down to the front of the mountain ticket office. The food at night (beef and bamboo shoots) was not bad. I stayed in the garden view room, with two single beds. The bed was comfortable. The tea in the room was really nice Maofeng tea. The style of the room didn’t scream luxury to me (not the quiet kind either). As for the location, I thought it would be nice to be in mountainous surroundings but it didn’t prove to be very convenient for my needs. I arrived on Friday and went to the front mountain on Saturday. Someone from the hotel very kindly dropped me off near the ticket office. A little aside: After visiting the mountain I decided on a spontaneous trip to Nanqiao (the south bridge) in Dujiangyan (I had not seen it at night on an earlier trip there). It was not that hard to find a taxi back, but keep in mind a small surcharge of 3.9% for taking you up the mountain). On Sunday I left the hotel too late as it was already very busy on the road to the back mountain ticket the taxi driver did not want to take me there (cause it would mean being stuck in traffic for hours either no compensation for all this waste of time) but offered to take me to The high speed railway station from which I could take a bus (passing hotel again!). Obviously the bus also ended up in a traffic jam, but in any case I did make it there in the end. Luckily I took my luggage and left it at a shop next to the foot passenger ticket office for 5 yuan. Unfortunately the hot water spring is only open in winter. They have a nice pool though. I enjoyed my stay but didn’t find it very luxurious although it is rare to have a hotel with a pool in China, so that was cool. At around 50 euros per night it was okay value for money.
