IInvitéBien que l'hôtel soit un peu vieux, les installations de soutien sont plutôt bonnes, les chambres sont propres et bien rangées et l'insonorisation est correcte. Il y a des piscines thermales intérieures et extérieures. Il sera très confortable de se baigner la nuit après avoir été fatigué de jouer pendant la journée. L'hôtel est à côté du centre de transfert. Il est très pratique de s'enregistrer le matin, le trajet sera plus court que de rester en ville. Nous sommes restés deux jours au total. Le premier jour, Tianchi était fermé et nous ne sommes pas sortis l'après-midi, il faisait beau et nous sommes sortis pour prendre des photos. Il n'y avait personne à proximité et c'était très confortable. Il n'y a pas de restaurants dans les environs, mais il y a des dépanneurs et des restaurants dans l'hôtel. La cuisine du nord-est du restaurant est recommandée. Le Da Lapi et le Di San Xian que j'ai commandés étaient tous deux bons et. les portions étaient assez grandes pour manger. Ci-joint deux photos de la belle Tianchi après la neige du 2 octobre.

The room package is so worthwhile as it includes breakfast, skiing, snow activities, deer park and hot springs at Club Med. Room is spacious and comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay here. Highly recommended especially family with young children.

The room was spacious and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. 🌟 The customer service truly stood out, especially for travelers like us without a local Chinese number. We were assigned a dedicated Private Guest Representative (PIC), Mr. Kwan, who made everything effortless. He was wonderful with children, spoke good English, and ensured that all our needs were met. Whenever we wanted to join an activity, we simply informed him, and he promptly sent us the QR codes. Communication through WeChat was smooth, and his replies were always quick—even on his day off. That level of dedication is top service! 🎿 Ski passes are flexible and can be used on non-consecutive days. For example, you can start from your arrival or departure day, or take a rest day in between. Each pass includes one night-time use, which can also be applied the following day. 💡 A few small improvements could make the stay even better: • Adding towels and a floor towel in the first shower room of the Twin Suite would make it easier to use. • Providing a few basic kitchen utensils, bowls, plates, and cutlery would allow guests to prepare simple meals. • Rooms can feel a little too warm, though this is easily adjusted since each room has its own temperature controls.

LLi-Fang YeoIt was a true delight to stay here. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The food was really good, so we had all our meals in the hotel restaurant, also because the nearest town was too far. We went skiing. The shuttle driver was very nice and patient with us. The rooms were beautifully rustic and there was paper-cutting activity at night when we were staying there. We truly enjoyed our time there, because of the comfortable stay and friendly, hospitable staff.

IInvitéWhat a trip! The rooms are MASSIVE. It's essentially a full apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds are extra extra large so perfect for families. For Western travellers, you may find the bed a bit hard. We were perfectly happy with it though. I personally will recommend Holiday Inn at the resort for those with kids. It's right next to the beginner tracks and that hotel hosts all the children activities and kids club. Though I don't know what the room is like. More from a location perspective. Wanda Jin Suites has 2 buildings. Best to get the 1st building as much closer to the beginner tracks and the service centre to rent ski gears. We were in the 2nd building. I will say from a location perspective, it was inconvenient for us as once you have snow boots on, it's a trek to carry your ski gears back and forth. There are lockers to put your ski gears in so we'll utilise that more next time. You do need WeChat though and if you don't have a local number, it gets difficult. If you're from Australia, just lose the 0 and add 18 at the front of your mobile number and that will get you through. But best to just get a local SIM to save you the hassle. But from a food perspective, they're right outside the building and short walk to the hot springs and the water park which is all included in the hotel fees. Including ski pass and going to the snow playground. At the snow playground, there's snowmobiles for kids to ride on amongst a lot of other activities. But that's extra money. Again, need WeChat. The hotel concierge when you check in will add you into their WeChat and you can ask them questions and they'll help you. Very convenient. It's an amazing place to come with kids. Water park is insane there and my son had a blast. The hot spring was also an amazing experience. Though very cold to get in and out of the hot springs at -20C. There are other activities outside the resort which hotel concierge will help you arrange. They can also shuttle you to the nearby village for more authentic food if you don't want to eat inside the resort. Beaware that the pharmacy at the resort does not have any ibuprofen or paracetemol. Strongly advise you get WeChat. You can book pretty much all the activities through their WeChat mini app. Including ski coaches. There are rogue ski coaches coming up to you to get business so beware. We almost got on a shuttle with a rogue coach that were gonna take us elsewhere and weren't even letting adults come (it was for the kids) and a hotel staff came up and essentially stopped them and forced them to give back the deposit. Book your coaches early. They book out quick. Particularly snowboarding. We also booked an igloo making class for our son and he had an amazing time. Though it's all in Mandarin of course. They have half day and full day camps for kids so parents can drop off and chill for the day. The staff here can barely speak English so bring your AI translator with you. We had less of a problem since I can speak Chinese but my husband often got stuck and needed me or even my son to help navigate around. Make sure you go back to the counter after returning your ski gear at the end of your stay to get your deposit back. We had an amazing time and would consider coming back.

OOlivier22❄️ The hotel is not the most convenient choice for families with young children or for less experienced skiers, as it is located away from the city centre. Guests always need to rely on shuttles or taxis to get around. The city centre is also where the hot springs, water park, and the snow and ice attractions are located, so unfortunately a lot of time is wasted in transport. 🚐 Shuttle service is a clear area for improvement. The frequency is limited, and we often had to wait quite a while—sometimes missing two full shuttles before being able to board. Increasing the number of shuttles would make a big difference. 🎿 Ski passes are flexible: they can be used on any day, including check-in and check-out days. Usage is limited to once per night, and you can choose either daytime or nighttime skiing—but not both on the same day. However, you don’t need to use them on consecutive days, which gives families more freedom to plan rest days. 🏠 On the positive side, the room was spacious and well equipped. The bar, fitness area, ping-pong room, and yoga room were all enjoyable and added variety to the stay. Breakfast is also quite varied and good.

LlilsheepWe had a very good stay at the Westin Changbaishan Resort, which is part of the Wanda Ski Resort complex. We were warmly received by butler/assistant No.3 小陈, who ensured our stay was a fulfilling and engaging one. He assisted us with transport bookings and always reached out thru Wechat to see if we needed any help. Although the hardware and fixtures at the Westin are aging, the service staff from the hotel are excellent. We had a good experience at the Club lounge, with happy hour served from 5pm to 7pm and was always served with a smile by the lounge manager and assistants. Housekeeping was also great, and our room also came with a humidifier, which housekeeper always refilled daily. We also enjoyed the complimentary hot spring access (once per stay) but didnt try the water park as the weather was pretty cold. Highly recommend a stay at the Westin if you're coming to Ski/Snowboard at Changbaishan West Slope.
