::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel!
Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities.
Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied.
The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient.
Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

非常傳統的日式温泉酒店，依山傍海，一塵不染！酒店提供接送服務，司機大叔特別親切！工作人員也都會幫忙拿行李到房間！一泊二食的餐食精緻，食材新鮮，服務的阿姨看上去也都很優雅，很周到！
走的時候還有大堂經理幫忙拍照留念，很貼心！
温泉在山海之間，温度也特別合適，泡完皮膚真的變很滑很有光澤！有機會還會再來！

IInvitéTrès bel hôtel avec un super personnel. On peut garer sa voiture pour 1200¥ par nuit. On a eu un petit problème avec notre chambre mais ils ont été très réactifs et on nous a même surclassés! On avait une très belle vue sur le canal et les lits étaient confortables. Je recommande.

Il y a le grand grand onzé sur le sommet avec une vue magnifique sur la mer.
Le petit déjeuner était bon, mais pas aussi magnifique que je l'attendais.

JJ. SimonLocation: Around +/-30 mins walk from JR Otaru station and bus interchange. Very steep uphill slope covered in thick snow and slippery icy pavements. Fortunately, kept luggage in the locker in JR Otaru station before heading to accommodation. Every room is housed in an individual container. Ideal place to stay during spring, summer and autumn.
Attraction: Great if one is driving as most attractions are quite far from this accommodation. Unless you know which bus stop the sightseeing bus or bus to Mt Tengu Ropeway will stop at, best is to take these buses from the bus interchange at JR Otaru station which is around +/- 30 mins walk from the accommodation.

SSheila WZJCet hôtel était étonnant. Super propre et confortable. La chambre était si grande et spacieuse. Vous pouvez dormir jusqu'à 5 personnes. Juste que l'hôtel n'a pas d'ascenseur, seulement 2 étages. Mais toujours pas déçu. Très recommandé!!!!

IInvitéStayed at Sho Inn for 1 night in Otaru. It’s a little out of the way from the Otaru station if you do not drive, but they offer shuttle service to the Otaru Canal and Otaru station when you check out! The host Hideshi was incredibly kind, even going the extra mile to bring my neck pillow, which I had accidentally left in the accommodation after check out, to the Otaru station at my preferred time that evening. It was a gesture testament of the great hospitality of the Japanese. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you’re a solo traveller / prefer your own private space instead of going to those hostels with double deckered beds and curtains!

LLoves TravelL'idée d'une salle de bains partagée m'a intriguée, mais la description des installations et des meubles m'a intriguée. Il était très agréable de rester ici et les nombreuses photos que j'ai prises de ce lieu peuvent le confirmer. Et les salles de bains partagées dont je m'inquiétais ? Les salles de bains communes sont maintenues à un niveau très élevé de nettoyage et sont équipées des dernières fonctionnalités de toilette.
Donc si vous me plaisiez, vous êtes intéressé à rester dans des endroits ésostériques vous pouvez donner Little Barrel un essai !

IInvitéLa chambre standard mesure 27 m² et les espaces communs sont spacieux et bien équipés (restaurants, bains thermaux, salles de sport, piscines et supérettes). Les clients peuvent profiter librement du salon, où des boissons sont offertes. L'hôtel est situé face aux pistes de ski et dispose d'un local de séchage, très pratique pour ranger son matériel de ski. On y trouve également des luges et autres jouets de neige, ce qui est particulièrement appréciable pour les familles avec enfants.

IInvitéIf you are not driving, this place is a best place to stay with as overall house amenities are comfortable, modern and feeling good.
But for anyone driving there, do consider again as the journey towards to the carpark are slippery, more than 10degree slope, it is dangerous and scarry to me eventhough equipped with snow tyre even though for myself that have been driving in many countries in Europe, Asia and Australia.
