Parlons d’abord des avantages : un excellent emplacement, un excellent service et d’excellentes installations.
L'emplacement est à côté de Wangfujing Elephant City, Tangdao et Wanda, qui appartiennent au cœur du cercle des affaires.
Le service, comparé à Kempinski et JW, la chambre de nuit et le nettoyage régulier sont tous les meilleurs. C'est à cela que devrait ressembler un hôtel cinq étoiles.
Les installations annexes, la piscine et la salle de sport sont très bonnes, les installations sont neuves et il y a peu de monde
Inconvénients : Le petit déjeuner est copieux mais de qualité moyenne, et le buffet du dîner est également de qualité moyenne

Les appartements Sebel sont intégrés au Sofitel de Xining. C'était un bon endroit où séjourner et les chambres étaient spacieuses pour nous en famille. L'hôtel dispose également d'une bonne piscine intérieure avec une bonne eau et température ambiante. La piscine était claire et bien entretenue.
Le petit déjeuner était très bon et un excellent chargeur pour nos déplacements quotidiens autour de Xining.
Le seul inconvénient de notre séjour était la température élevée dans la chambre pendant la nuit. La climatisation n'était pas chauffée mais la pièce était très chaude (24 degrés) et l'air était très sec. Dormir n'était pas facile alors mais cela aurait peut-être été un dysfonctionnement.

JJamesHarrisI will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

GGuoguoyouNon loin de la gare, c'est pratique pour voyager, et pas trop loin de la rue gastronomique. La chambre est propre et bien rangée, et le petit déjeuner proposé est très copieux. C'est très bien pour nos déplacements hors de la ville. Nous ne sommes pas habitués à presque tous les ramen à l'extérieur. C'est un bon endroit pour voyager en famille.

IInvitéBoliyabu a été une énorme surprise pour ce voyage. L'hôtel est dans un excellent emplacement. Le directeur de l'hôtel, Liu, nous a fourni des soins méticuleux pendant tout le séjour. Parce que j'avais des enfants, toutes sortes d'interruptions et de problèmes m'ont fait souffrir. un peu gêné moi-même, mais je suis très reconnaissant pour l'esprit de service patient et méticuleux et pour la philosophie de gestion humaniste de l'hôtel. À l'occasion des vacances du 1er mai, j'aime Xining, je développe Xining et je rends Xining belle.

IInvitéI chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport.
The price was also excellent value for money.
My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue.
I checked in around 7am and was shown my room.
It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window,
and it also had a freestanding bath.
Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels.
I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one .
This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again.
The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet.
The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive.
Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China..
I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away.
The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet.
I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.

IInvitéHotel service was excellent - allowed for late check out after hearing that our train timing was late, and brought a portable heater up to our room due to the cold weather. When we asked for the nearest pharmacy to procure portable oxygen, they also offered one on their end.
Room was clean and spacious, and toilet had heated toilet bowl and nice toiletries. Proximity was very near train station as well. Nice lobby with recreational area.

Tthe_wanderlust_jellyOn m'a dit que j'aurais droit à un surclassement de chambre gratuit, mais honnêtement, je ne vois pas la différence. De plus, la chambre sur la photo de la liste était plus grande et plus lumineuse, mais la chambre que j'ai reçue était extrêmement sinistre, sans compter qu'elle ne ressemble même pas à la moitié de la taille de la pièce sur la photo de la liste. Je n'arrive pas non plus à régler la température de la climatisation car elle restera à température ambiante, peu importe ce que je règle, mais le xining est assez rafraîchissant en général, donc c'est toujours acceptable. Dans la chambre qui m'a été donnée, le panneau de verre du côté des toilettes avait un côté gravement fissuré qui semblait se briser si j'avais fermé la porte vitrée trop fort. J'ai pris une vidéo juste avant d'utiliser les toilettes au cas où elles se briseraient vraiment, mais heureusement, ce n'était pas le cas. Très dangereux néanmoins. La douche était la pire, chaque soir je devais parier si elle serait froide ou brûlante. J'ai réglé la valeur de la douche légèrement vers le côté chaud, et l'eau est devenue brûlante en quelques secondes, et si je la déplace vers le côté froid, elle est devenue glaciale en quelques secondes. Même si je la règle exactement au milieu, elle me donnera l'une des températures extrêmes. J'ai dû continuer à ajuster du chaud au froid pour qu'elle reste à une plage de température confortable et sûre. La cuvette des toilettes tire la chasse d'eau d'une manière très stupide aussi, en inondant d'abord la cuvette de bas en haut, ce qui signifie que si vous avez fait caca et qu'il est légèrement collant, il va coller. La bouilloire électrique était si bruyante lorsqu'elle était allumée qu'elle ressemblait à un train passant juste à côté de ma chambre. Et en parlant de bruit, l'insonorisation de la chambre était l'une des pires de tous les hôtels dans lesquels j'ai séjourné auparavant. On peut littéralement entendre les nouveaux occupants traîner leurs bagages ou la famille bavarder sans arrêt juste après avoir quitté l'ascenseur. Pour info, ma chambre était littéralement la plus éloignée. Chaque fois que vos voisins de 3 chambres ouvrent leur robinet d'eau, vous pouvez l'entendre, même si c'est vers 4 heures du matin. Le sèche-cheveux est également un danger pour la sécurité. J'ai essayé de l'utiliser une fois et après l'avoir branché et allumé, de la fumée en est immédiatement sortie, alors je l'ai immédiatement éteint et retiré la prise. Je ne l'ai plus jamais utilisé depuis. Oh oui, une dernière chose que je dois dire est qu'en tant qu'hôtel, VEUILLEZ NE JAMAIS UTILISER D'ÉCLAIRAGE À COMMANDE DE MOUVEMENT OU DE VOIX. Pendant que je faisais la vaisselle tous les jours, je devais continuer à agiter mes mains comme un ***** toutes les quelques minutes afin d'empêcher les lumières de s'éteindre. La détection est tellement mauvaise qu'à moins qu'il n'y ait une énorme action au bon endroit, elle ne rallume pas les lumières. C'était absolument ennuyeux.
Cependant, les choses que j'ai mentionnées ci-dessus ne sont pas les bienvenues, mais peuvent être tolérées.
Personnellement, la seule chose que j'aime vraiment dans cet hôtel, c'est le thé gratuit. Et c'est aussi un essai à essayer absolument. Je crois que c'est du thé noir ******* qui est aussi une spécialité locale. Je regrette de ne pas avoir essayé plus tôt car à la fin de mon voyage, je ne passe plus par des magasins qui vendent du thé noir *******. Je recommande à l'hôtel d'inclure un moyen d'acheter un peu de ce thé.
Dans l'ensemble, je ne recommanderai l'hôtel qu'à quelqu'un qui n'a pas d'autre choix ou qui a un budget plus restreint en tête.

IInvitéLa décoration du lobby est un peu vieillotte, mais il n'y a pas de mécontentement en entrant dans la salle. Sans oublier le lit et les oreillers, ils sont pour dormir et très confortables. Le sanitaire est un abattant de WC Canon, super simple à utiliser ! L'agencement est très moderne et les phares à rétroviseurs sont sympas ! Ce dont je veux me plaindre, c'est l'ascenseur. Il fait sombre. Je me demande pourquoi les lumières ne sont pas allumées ? Je ne pouvais pas voir clairement les boutons et il y avait un dessin animé qui jouait tout le temps. La musique était très soudaine et effrayante.

Bbebou around the worldWe found the hotel easily. The lobby seems to be shared with another hotel. Check-in was possible even late at night. The reception staff upgraded us into a room with a window which was nice. The room in itself is small but functional. The bed is small but comfy. The TV worked well. There's a laundry room that you can use for free but the dryer mode doesn't work. The amenities are outdated and cleanliness is really not what you would expect. Our toilet seat was broken, the sink was dirty (we removed some stains with just water and toilet paper) and it was leaking. The walls have some very nasty stains on it and there's dust and stains on many things inside the room (bedside tables, fan, wardrobe, bedside lights, etc). One very annoying thing is that when you don't close your door properly, there's a loud alarm that quickly starts ringing. Unfortunately, when it's breakfast time, many people don't care and will leave that to ring until they come back, and it's very annoying. Breakfast is Chinese food only and not that great. Plus it is served in a very small room where there's definitely not enough space for everybody so you might have to wait. On the second day, housekeeping took our bath mat and didn't replace it, so we had to use another towel. On the third day, despite putting the ”do not disturb sign” on the door, housekeeping knocked several times until told that we didn't need anything. I mean it's nice of them, but the point of having the sign is not to be disturbed. Depending on when you take your shower, the water can be a bit dodgy (fine at night, but in the morning, it goes from burning to barely hot to burning again which can be annoying). The layout of the bathroom is weird as well as the toilet protrudes in the middle of the bathroom making it complicated to move around, exit the shower or even use the sink (especially since ours was leaking all over). Shower glass doors also don't close properly so lots of water is coming out. Our laundry string was broken so we had to find another way to dry our laundry.
I think it's important to note as well that as foreigners, we have been followed to our door by some other guests, and were stared at by others until we entered our room and closed the door which didn't feel safe for my girlfriend.
All in all, if you don't care about cleanliness, then it's ok as it's well located.

HHenrionDourcyThis is honestly the best deal in town. I have been coming to Xining for 10 years, stayed in different hotels each time. This is for sure my favourite one and the best deal in this range of prices.
First, the location. Right in the city centre, with a lot of taxis coming by (this can be an issue for hotels in other locations, where taxis are more rare). It is super convenient and one can reach any part of town efficiently and quickly. There are many buses that go from here to anywhere in town.
Second, the quality of the room, of the bed (super super cosy and comfortable, which is really nice after travelling roughly for two weeks in the nearby countryside), the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Very good hygiene products, not cheap toothpaste and soap like in other hotels.
Third, and most importantly, the quality and warmth of the service. At the reception, the employees are very friendly and understanding, very warm-hearted, You feel really welcome in this hotel. They have helped me in several ways. especially Mrs Jane and Mrs Sunny Bai: fantastic people! They also speak English! Makes the whole stay memorable, enjoyable, relaxing.
I will surely come back here next time. This is an upper-tier hotel made available with affordable prices.
