Le vaste Matterhorn semblait juste dehors de ma salle de balcon. La vue iconique a changé de forme avant le lever du soleil à après le coucher du soleil. Le restaurant a servi de bons repas avec un bon personnel. Le bureau frontal est également utile et a sauvé notre temps pour planifier notre séjour à Zermatt.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

For a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking. The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it. Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

Love this hotel so much, it felt so cosy when we enter! Location is good as well, walkable to the main street area. You can actually get the hotel to pick you up via their vehicle they can also send you to the train station upon leaving. You get to see Matterhorn from the balcony too! Super love this place :)

Propre et bien rangé, le petit-déjeuner est très copieux et délicieux, vous pouvez surtout presser votre propre jus. Des chemises de nuit et des chaussons jetables sont fournis. Il y a des vélos à louer.

Enjoy my stay in this resort during my zermatt trip. Can see nice matterhorn view in the morning from the room. Nice breakfast. Will recommend.

Je suis venu à Zermatt lors d'un tour en profondeur de la Suisse, qui est le meilleur hôtel de cette ligne ! L'emplacement est très facile à trouver. Dès que vous sortez de la gare, vous pouvez voir un bus public avec une batterie. Après être descendu du bus, vous pouvez marcher des dizaines de mètres à travers le supermarché. J'adore l'aménagement de la pelouse du jardin à première vue ! La grand-mère à la réception est très gentille et vous parle clairement de l'hôtel. Les chambres sont grandes et meublées très confortablement, avec une large vue depuis la fenêtre. La chambre dispose également d'une cuisine, la plupart des ustensiles de cuisine sont complets. Petit déjeuner copieux et environnement confortable! J'y ai passé deux nuits et les amis de toutes tailles sont unanimement félicités ! En particulier, la famille d'accueil de l'hôtel est très gentille et sympathique ! Je reviendrai certainement ici la prochaine fois que j'en aurai l'occasion!

very nice and friendly staff of the hotel. The balcony of the room has a direct and good view of the Matterhorn summit, we could watch the sunset and sunrise scenery without going out. The only issue is that the rent is not cheap 😂

Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer. Rooms – 9/10 The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience. Service – 9/10 The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special. Dining – 8.5/10 The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it. Wellness & Spa – 10/10 The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny. Activities – 10/10 Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable. Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes.
