This lovely art deco inspired hotel is a small, boutique hotel set in a fabulous location to enjoy Sydney. While centrally located, it is a nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. It is walking distance to almost everything - short walk to nearby bars and restaurants and Central station and a bit further walk to Oxford St or the CBD, or just 40 minutes to the Opera House. The hotel is beautifully designed and finished. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable and the complimentary coffee/pastries/ fruit breakfast is very enjoyable. There is a lovely roof top terrace and an honour snack and drinks bar to enjoy too. Every room is different with clever design to make the most of their size. We stayed in a cosy room (107) and, as the website says, it is snug for a couple! We managed fine and really enjoyed our stay but personally I would have preferred a luggage rack to the sitting chair (which is overly large for a small room). The staff were all welcoming and professional. This is our second stay in a Crystalbrook hotel and both have been excellent.

Lovely new boutique hotel in an area that felt a bit similar to Soho, close to Central train station. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are compact but have everything you need and was sufficient space for 2 people, and very comfortable.

I stayed at the ACE for 2 weeks during a recent business trip and I was very impressed. (And when it comes to hotels. I'm not easy to please to please.) Most importantly, the rooms were super clean. As a bonus, the bed was comfortable too. The restaurant had good food and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. For a hotel, the gym was pretty good with treadmills, a rowing machine, dumbbells' up to 50lbs and Kettlebells. My only complaint is that the bar area gets very loud. I could actually hear the bass coming from the music on the 4th floor at night. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and after that I had no issues. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

La meilleure partie était que l'homme d'entretien du réservoir de poisson avait une conversation décente sur le processus de nettoyage du réservoir de poisson qui est sous le sol du foyer et enseigné à nos enfants sur le poisson. Le petit déjeuner buffet a été frappé avec tous et nous avons essayé d'obtenir les enfants de la piscine.

Nous avons séjourné ici pour 4 nuits en mai 2022 et quelle catastrophe d'une expérience. Après avoir essayé de trouver un hébergement alternatif au dernier moment, nous avons été conseillés tout était OK. Ils ont fourni un petit déjeuner continental chaque matin avec des produits de biscuit, des céréales, du jus d'orange, du café, mais vous ne le saviez pas parce qu'un matin seulement des quatre que nous étions là, nous étions accueillis avec des croissants de rest ou un croissant solitaire. Un matin, il n'y avait même pas de lait, de café ou de jus d'orange. Ce lieu n'a pas une réception personnelle avec laquelle je n'ai pas de problème, mais chaque fois que nous sommes allés au bar pour poser une question, nous avons été traités à distance des filles travaillant là. La chambre était spacieuse mais juste très mauvaise hygiène et fondamentale ....très fondamentale. Ils ont été en mesure de régler le problème et ont organisé un hébergement alternatif à un autre hôtel, nous avons dû emballer nos sacs et nous rélocaliser inattendu. Ils ne nous ont même pas offert de compensation ou au moins un petit déjeuner parce que nous n'avons réussi qu'à manger quelque chose sur les 4 matins que nous étions là. Jamais.

Plusieurs points positifs : - Localisation idéale : À deux pas de Central Station. - Service de laverie bon marché et linge bien lavé et repassé. - Bar très sympa, bon choix de cocktails et belle carte de vin. - Petit déjeuner disponible sur place, simple mais très bon. Pour un petit déjeuner plus copieux, l’hôtel vous réfère vers un café juste à côté qui est vraiment très bien. - Possibilité de commander un Delivreroo que vous pouvez manger dans le lobby. Des points négatifs sont à souligner : - WiFi très très lent, déconnexion fréquente. Anormal dans le centre de Sydney. - Personnel à l’accueil parfois peu réactif ou distrait. Par exemple : l’accueil oublie de nous demander notre carte de chambre en partant, l’accueil ne nous informe pas que notre linge est prêt (nous devons le demander et le récupérer à l’accueil). Normalement, il devrait être livré en chambre. - Chambre étroite bien que bien organisée.

La location est si bonne que je me suis promenée. Il était un bon endroit pour conduire la gare et le tram. Le personnel est si ami Tout était bon Je suis allé au petit-déjeuner en faisant un hammocking ^^

I paid for a single room for SAUD174 for a Saturday night single room.en suite bathroom. What a rip off. No remote control for the TV a single chair I thought was going to break when I sat down. Toilet roll has to be held to or it will fall on the ground. No breakfast due to Pandemic. A fan that doesn't cool the room. Outside room.air conditioning was too noisy. I only slept because I am a heavy sleeper. The mattress was like a huge blob of jelly or water mattress. As a result I lost sleep and was irritable tired and stressed out. Lift is one of the slowest I have been in. There is no room in the fridges for stuff as the staff keep grog in the fridges for gatherings in the small kitchen. One guy was playing with a large pair of scissors ! Bench for preparing food wobbles. The worse insult of all for $19 more I could have stayed in a studio apartment in the Sydney CBD. Hostels are for party animals avoid at all costs.

Made a last minute booking due to broad train network failure and was unable to get home in a timely fashion. Location very convenient to Central station . The bar was buzzing and the staff were very friendly on check-in given I’d booked 10mins earlier on booking.com. They took me to my room and gave me a rundown of the services. While the rooms are old, they are clean and the linen and towels were good quality and the bed and pillows comfortable. It was a hot night and the A/C delivered keeping my peri menopausal at bay. I ordered a delicious meal from the bistro and was able to walk to work very well rested the next morning. I will happily stay there again.
