Cet hôtel Sofitel bénéficie d'un excellent emplacement, avec des transports très pratiques. Il se trouve juste à la limite de Darling Harbour et est très pratique pour manger et faire du shopping. Le personnel de la réception est compétent, l'enregistrement est très rapide et le départ est également très pratique. La chambre avait une vue magnifique, était très spacieuse et la décoration intérieure était décontractée et élégante. La vue depuis les étages intermédiaire et supérieur est très large. Avec les fenêtres fermées la nuit, c'était très calme, confortable pour dormir et la literie était également très confortable. Le matelas et les oreillers étaient moyennement mous et durs et l'expérience était bonne. La disposition du hall de l'hôtel vous fait vous sentir très à l'aise. Il existe de nombreuses sortes de petit-déjeuner.

Great location. Nice view of the museum. Nice choice of cups and mugs. Uncomfortable duvets and way too tucked. Breakfast wasn’t great, a bit disappointing for Intercontinental, not very fresh or nicely displayed as it was separated between two small rooms. And we had to wait a while for the staff to notice us and let us in, we weren’t able to choose where to sit either even though it was mostly empty. We were surprised as we had tried the M*rriot breakfast in the same neighborhood which was much better, from the quality of the products, to the selection or the way we were welcomed.

My first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

Au-delà des attentes, ce genre de prix vous permet de vivre à côté du Harbour Bridge et de l'Opéra de Sydney. C'est vraiment beaucoup plus rentable qu'en Chine. La suite avec vue sur le port est incomparable. Le seul inconvénient est qu'il y a des klaxons des navires de croisière internationaux le matin. C’était fini en quelques secondes seulement, et ce fut toute une expérience.

We had a great stay in the hotel for a week. We loved the breakfast which was delicious and lots of choices. The location is so good and the staff were so friendly and polite and helpful. From the receiption to the housekeepers, the staff always smiled and said Hello to make us felt very welcome. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Sydney😀💯

Emplacement idéal. La chambre est propre et bien équipée. C'est un bon choix pour Sydney. J'espère que la propreté de la pièce pourra être améliorée. Il y a des insectes morts dans la pièce et la surface du canapé est un peu sale, mais c'est compréhensible.

Les hôtels en Australie sont chers. Le service et les installations sont incomparables à ceux de la Chine. La taille de la chambre est de 36P. La chambre avec vue sur la mer que j'ai réservée est située à Darling Harbour. Le paysage est magnifique. La main d'œuvre est trop chère et il y a un énorme écart entre W à Sydney et W sur le Bund (W sur le Bund est de 50 P). Les chauffeurs chinois de VTC en ligne à Sydney ont déclaré que personne ne voulait être serveur d'hôtel, alors ils ne peut embaucher que des serveurs avec des salaires élevés. L'emplacement du W est vraiment bon, le meilleur emplacement de Darling Harbour, juste à côté du Sofitel. Les lumières de la pièce sont sombres et brumeuses, et le couloir a un plafond étoilé. Ceux qui aiment que ce soit plus lumineux ne l'apprécieront peut-être pas. La baignoire et la salle de douche ne sont pas séparées, donc l'eau et le sec ne sont pas séparés. Le petit-déjeuner est entièrement de style occidental, ce qui est assez copieux, il sera inconfortable pour ceux qui ne sont pas habitués au petit-déjeuner à l'occidentale. Parce que je n’avais pas de grandes attentes mentalement, j’ai pu accepter cette norme. L'hôtel est très proche du centre-ville, entouré de restaurants et très proche de Chinatown.

Fantastic and friendly staff! Great stay there (it was the first time). Just the bathrooms in the rooms are quite outdated (shower & floor).

1. The hotel is in a very good location, convenient for taking the subway, shopping or eating. 2. The room is clean and comfortable, with a complete gym and swimming pool sauna. 3. The receptionist is very professional and friendly. I particularly like the Korean receptionist (Jooeun). She is cute! I wish I could be friends with her, and I regret not asking to take a photo with her.

I stayed at Meriton for 9 nights with my son in Oct 2022. The location is excellent, with the Townhall train station & light rail located within 2mins walk from the building. There is also a Woolworths next block. The major shopping district is within less than a minute walk / located at the next light rail station, QVB station. One of my biggest pet peeve, are the lifts, there are 3 of them and they run from carpark levels all the way till the top floor which is probably in the 50s, we had to wait really long to take the lifts. Meriton apparently leases out their carpark lots too, hence the wait for the lifts is even longer during weekends when there’s a mix of the existing room guests, new guests checking in with their luggages as well as the people picking up their cars from the carpark. It’s just a hot mess. Meriton should really consider segregating the lifts to serve different floors. And have the people who are picking up their cars, to use other lifts instead of main lobby lifts. I like how the room is equipped with a Washer & dryer, was able to have clean set of clothings everyday. I couldn’t start the dryer, called for help and had to wait more than 30mins, the handyman only came after my second call. Although I stayed at the property for 9 nights, the room-keeping was very basic , just a change of new set of towels, bed was made, disposal of rubbish and replenishment of condiments (like coffee, creamery and sugar) and bathing supplies. No vacuuming of floor or washing of the bathroom, hence the room is dusty and the bathroom especially the rubber tubings surrounding the glass door has mould too. Also, the frequency of house-keeping was inconsistent, initially was once every 3 days for first 6 days and then it became everyday. In conclusion, it’s still an excellent place to stay because of strategic location but do manage your expectations when it’s comes to the upkeep of the rooms, the hotel lifts and level of services. By the way, when I was there, the hotel lobby was undergoing renovation, so hopefully the lift situations improve.
