Plusieurs embûches dès notre arrivée: Ils n'ont pas préparé notre chambre à l'arrivée, personnel pas du tout sympa (un changement de comportement radicale à la présentation d'une carte ID non européene), les infos sur leur site sont erronées: horaire & jours d'ouverture de spa & piscine.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel avec une mention spéciale pour les personnes s'occupant du réfectoire qui sont absolument géniaux et le personnel de ménage qui travaille sans relâche pour nous offrir une propreté impeccable. Merci également au personnel d'avoir prêté une attention particulière à mon allergie au gluten j'ai été choyé pendant une semaine très très dur de revenir à la vraie vie

Hôtel dans l’ensemble bien, mais pas adapté pour les français. Le personnel nous a ignoré pendant 10 jours. Quand on a besoin de renseignements, même si je parle espagnol d’un niveau moyen, les réceptionnistes faisaient comme si ils ne comprenaient pas. On a croisé un autre couple de français qui ont eu le même ressenti. Ils nous ont bien fait ressentir qu’ils ne voulaient pas avoir à faire avec nous 😢

Nous venons de passer 10 jours , et au vue des commentaires précédents j'ai l'impression d'avoir été dans un autre hôtel ? Si vous aimez la piscine l’hôtel Bahia Tropical est à éviter à cause d’un règlement complètement fou dont voici le détail ! Piscine ouverte de 10h à 14h et 16h à 20h (Déjà spécial mais nous allons essayer de nous adapter). Les transats doivent être réservés via une application de l’hôtel uniquement en espagnol et très mal conçue (un amateur du personnel de l’hôtel a dû le créer à moindre frais). Pour le matin (de 10h à 14h) vous pouvez réserver votre parasol avec 2 transats à partir de 20h la veille. Pour l’après-midi (de 16h à 20h) vous pouvez réserver qu’à partir de 12h le jour même. Pour la réservation dépêchez-vous … 253 chambres pour 40 parasols fixés dans le sol ? Cerise sur le gâteau : Quand l’hôtel est complet (juillet et août) vous n’avez que 2 heures de transat ? Que faire le reste du temps ? … Vous assoir sur une chaise du restaurant avec votre serviette et vos affaires ou vous allonger sur votre serviette étendue sur le carrelage ou sur un petit morceau de gazon ou aller à la plage Pozuelo très sale en face de l’hôtel (composée de gros sable et galets) avec la possibilité de vous étendre sur des transats sales mais payants. Pour la plage (vous serez bien obligé) nous vous conseillons la plage Tesorillo (en sortant de l’hôtel à droite après la montée) qui est plus agréable et mieux entretenue avec 2 restaurants sympas. Nous trouvons anormal que les touristes ne soient pas avertis de ce règlement piscine avant de réserver … beaucoup n’auraient pas choisi cet hôtel sachant cela ! Il faut savoir que l’hôtel est mal situé : Il est bien à 2 km du centre d’Almunecar … Mais entre l’hôtel et le centre il n’y a presque aucun magasin … et savoir également que 95% des spectacles de l’hôtel sont en espagnol (sans traduction). Le négatif étant noté nous tenons à souligner les côtés positifs : L’hôtel est bien entretenu. Notre chambre était spacieuse, bien agencée avec une très belle vue sur mer et bien entretenue journalièrement. Le buffet était convenable. L’ensemble du personnel étaient professionnel, gentil et serviable … Mais malheureusement nos vacances ont été en partie gâchée !

Très bon hôtel rapport qualité prix Nous nous sommes arrêtés une nuit lors d'un déplacement nous avons prolongé notre séjour tellement nous étions satisfaits de cet hôtel.. Endroit très tranquille à quelques kilomètres du centre Almunecar et ses rue très animées. Nous y reviendrons certainement.

Stayed 6 weeks.Roomy and family friendly rooms with double bed and a sofa and refrigerator. Big bathrooms. A big plus is that they tend to give pool level rooms to families with children. So easy to get in and out of the pool. The outside space was also roomy and with 2 sunshairs and big parasoll! Staff was friendly and keen to meet your needs or questions. The only negative part was: we put the don't disturb sign every night but every morning they would still open the door and come in, even if they saw us in bed half naked feeding the baby they walked in and started to mess in the wardrobe or other things. Screaming "NOO" to their knocks ment nothing. Starting to think the maids were paid by each room and not by schedule, why else the urge to force into rooms they cleaned just the other day? Last thing is the buffet....... Every source of proteine is abused to the limit that you can't tell if it's fish, chicken, pork, beef, other. No pepper, no spices, lots of deep fry. Could not get allergens right at all. Put Gluten on cooked potatoes and No Gluten on gluten pasta and "Pure rice" on shrimp rice. Last weeks I actually vomitided a little in a napkin each time we tried to eat there. So we went to restaurants outside. I think something has happened because only 1 year ago they had healthy and good food according to people in the area. Good luck, hope you will regain that status nd thank you for an otherwise nice stay!

We loved this hotel! We only stayed for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed for longer. We opted for a Junior Suite as we are a family of 4 and wanted a bit more space. The suite was massive and was ideal for us. It had a generously sized balcony with a lovely view. Fantastic pool, great location right by the beach, helpful staff, very clean and great facilities. We were the only non-Spanish guests which was fine by us. I’m not fluent at all, but I speak enough Spanish to get by. Rest assured, the staff do speak English. But as this is a town in Spain, you should address people in their own language and not demand that they speak a foreign language. It’s just courtesy, and you will find that people are very kind and will encourage you to use and improve your Spanish! We were room only, so we can’t comment on the food. The hotel is a bit far from the town centre, but there is a bus stop around the corner and the bus is only €1. There’s also a supermarket a one minute walk away. We really liked Almuñécar as it has such an interesting history and there are loads of chiringuitos to choose from for leisurely lunches and dinners. Yes it was hot, but not as hot as the interior. Would go back tomorrow if we could!

We had a lovely, peaceful stay during the off-peak season. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and right on the beach with a few local shops nearby. I had emailed ahead to arrange a surprise upgrade for my mum’s 60th birthday, and the hotel kindly made it happen—it really made the trip special. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The food wasn’t quite to my taste, but it wasn’t bad either. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing break.

While the hotel facilities were satisfactory, I found the woman staff at the reception to be unfriendly and arrogant. They expected guests to speak perfect Spanish, even though we were on vacation. Additionally, it was frustrating to have to reserve a spot at the pool every day. On a positive note, the food was good, but the cleaning service was subpar - my refrigerator was very dirty. This detracted from the overall experience and made for a stressful vacation. I do want to mention that the man at the reception was very polite and helpful, which was appreciated. I hope this feedback can help you improve the guest experience at your hotel.

Ants and flys around the food. Also dirty dishes with clean ones. They where the only issue. The staff were very friendly, I have grown son who does not deal with people he does not know because of his autism but the staff where amazing with him. Yes I would go back and in fact iv booked to back at Christmas.

Very good and the staff were good and helpfull The food was excelent and bedrooms comfy . Live music and danceing in thr bar till late great fun. We only had to pay for the hotel and the breakfast was included for € 50

The hotel is nice. Not exactly four star but clean. It's up the coast from Almenucar, in a rather grotty end of the locality. Nothing to do here. The town of Almenucar itself is pretty crap with nothing of interest. However, the hotel buffet was something I'm surprised we survived. Undercooked chicken, twice, pink inside and... wait for it... pork that was RAW in the middle. The hotel clientele is mostly older Spanish people, perhaps 80%. The rest is made up of poor suckers like me that saw a bargain on a holiday website. Serving raw pork to a healthy young adult can result in awful food poisoning. Serving it to the elderly with compromised immune systems can be lethal. If you're flying 1000 miles + for a holiday, don't risk coming here. Forgetting the hotel issues, Almunecar has nothing to offer, not even nice beaches. Stay further West, like Nerja.

We had a great time. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. We had s pool- side view and we were able to see the sea. The hotel was very clean. The food was varied. We had booked 3 rooms back in march so my grandson and his parents were lucky to have a room with its own private terrace that gave directly on to the pool, these rooms are usually reserved for families. The animation was great, they were activities for everyone and the shows they put on were excellent we particularly liked the show where the children were involved. Despite having little time the children did a great job thanks to the dedication of the animation staff. The games were a lot of fun.
