💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! Les installations de la chambre sont très bonnes dans tous les aspects. Je peux être stationné à la porte de la petite maison. Je reste deux jours. Je vais envoyer un courrier à l'hôtel pour changer de toiles et envoyer un café, mais je n'ai pas répondu ni envoyé.

L'hôtel Grímsborgir est absolument fantastique ! Son emplacement est incroyablement pratique, juste à côté du Cercle d'Or, ce qui permet de visiter facilement tous les sites touristiques. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, chacune avec son propre jacuzzi ou un jacuzzi partagé – se détendre dans le jacuzzi en admirant les étoiles la nuit est un vrai moment de bien-être ! Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et frais, et le personnel est très accueillant. J'y retournerai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour en Islande ! Je le recommande vivement aux voyageurs en quête d'un road trip relaxant !

The room looks quite dark and aged. Some essential things were lacking like kettle. There was only one small table and chair in the family room we stayed in so we had to ear/drink in the beds. Location is good and right next to the waterfall. Cleanliness is acceptable.

Nous avons eu un séjour merveilleux à Black Beach Suitesmy famille l'aimait absolument. Les chambres sont magnifiquement conçues, avec un intérieur plus sombre qui contribue probablement à réduire la pollution lumineuse pour la vue de l'aurora. Nous étions assez heureux de voir les lumières du nord deux fois once juste après avoir vérifié près de la zone de réception, et encore au milieu de la nuit. En outre, les vues sur la plage de sable noire de Reynisfjara juste derrière l'hôtel sont absolument incroyables et ajoutent si beaucoup à l'expérience générale. Nous n'avons pu réserver qu'une nuit, puisque les autres dates ont été prises en compte, ce qui dit honnêtement beaucoup sur la popularité de ce lieu. Le personnel était ami et utile, même si il était occupé à gérer le bar. Le seul coucher était le canapé, qui avait une grande plongée au milieu et était très inconfortable par rapport aux lits principaux.

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

Hello dear All, My husband booked via Trip.com and we were thrilled to spend time at this cozy little place just for us. However we faced severe difficulties in getting informations to check- in. We called above 15x - no answer!!! We texted on what’s up too and send an email but no information was provided. It was very frustrating and we were severely upset 😔  Once we reached the location homes we searched and knocked doors for help and guidance. Finally I stopped a man driving near us and he asked - can I help you. Once explained our situation he called someone and he said - follow me 😀 we were so relieved from our stressful situation 🙏  we don’t know from which end the problem was?? From the host, or the booking company?? No informations received and no reception once there too. It was a very bad experience. After that another couple arrived with the same problem!!! We felt so sorry for them too. After 9pm there is no one to assist.  We arrived at 8.30pm. Please get back to us - why all this happened?

We had a fantastic stay at North Star Cottages. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We arrived to a warm, snug cabin after a day of walking in the rain, and it had everything we needed for a short one night stay. We were a family of four and we brought food to prepare. The kitchen had everything to cook, eat, and wash up. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Really great place.

Ce n'était pas le meilleur séjour que j'aie passé : la salle de bain était minuscule et pas très propre. Le reste était correct. Le petit-déjeuner était correct. La vue était à couper le souffle.
