Amazing stay with very friendly staff, even thise who are helping with breakfast. Great location just in front of the train station. The room was spacious, the bathroom had a great bathtub, and amenities were not lacking. They have the breakfast lounge open from 12-8pm, where you can work or chat or just people watch in front of the station and have coffee, tea and soda available. You can also eat your food here though the microwave is on a different floor. I would definitely come back to this hotel, as I fell in love with Morioka.

We were two people staying 3 nights. We had breakfast and we were very happy with it (6:30-10:00, L.O 9:30). It didn’t change much during the stay, but it had a lot of options and it tasted good. The room was small. If you have suitcase it will be hard to open it up. We didn’t have suitcases, so for us it was no problem. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They have a manga library and coffe machine (15:00-22:00), and space with tables and chairs where you can e.g eat. They have laundry as well (10:00-22:00). It was cheep (washing 400 yen 30 min, dryer 100 yen 10 min). It was a standing washing machine (which I don’t really like) and we had a lot of laundry, so we went to another coin laundry 1 min walk from the hotel, which was good (washing 15 kg 30 min 800 yen, drying 10 min 100 yen). We didn’t use room cleaning, but every day we got a bag of towels on our door knob. It is around 10-15 min walk to the station. But it’s close to shopping streets and Iwaki park. It has a lot of restaurants close by. If you like all-you-can-drink there’s a lot of options close by as well. After check out we left our baggage for a couple of hours. It was no problem. The people at the hotel were very nice and polite. Overall we had a very nice stay at this hotel.

Stunning location! Walked into the lobby and was floored by panoramic views of the cape. The hotel isn't modern or new, but it's well-maintained. Stayed in the tatami room and it's extremely spacious. Opt for the dinner buffet as there aren't lots of dining options unless you drive. Breakfast was full of Western and Japanese options. Oiishi!

Toyoko Inn well known as one of big chain Hotel in Japan among others. This is my first time to stay at Toyoko Inn and I am happy! Despite I still confused how to go there from Morioka Station (we need to going down from underground and there is a lot tunnel 😭) The building was closed to everywhere. Food was great! And they clean my room on day 2 (I thoughts they only clean on day 4) and i wasn’t prepare it so my room completely messed up. Sorry! T

Le meilleur hôtel Onsen au Japon jusqu'à présent! Nous avons aimé l'hôtel si longtemps en Oct 2025, donc nous avons réservé et est revenu de Déc 20-24, 2025. 1. Très confortable pour l'expérience de ski. Ski en et en ski. Sci loyer et ski coaches sont juste à côté de l'hôtel. Bonne expérience pour les loyers et les loyers d'entraîneurs. 2. Le petit déjeuner et les buffets sont super et si délicieux! La nourriture change chaque nuit pour vous donner une variation diversifiée à choisir. Très délicate préparations alimentaires par de grands chefs donc ne vous inquiétez pas vous ne serez jamais fatigués. 3. Onsen est aussi grand grand grand! Grand vue et les femmes et les hommes se remplacent la piscine chaude de printemps chaque jour. 4. La première place de relaxation est superbe! Vous disposez d'une bar de service à vous-même de jus / soda / café et de popsicles. Le Motoyo-San est très aimable et son anglais est très fluide ! Le 3e étage est rénové, donc les pls essayez cette belle chambre la prochaine fois! Recommandez-moi ! !

The onsen is nice. The pool is clean, and amenities are abundant. While the price is rather low, the location and service, and breakfast was so amazing. From miso soup to soba noodles, the food represents the area, Iwate County, in a delicate and satisfying way. The food is so beautiful. My mouth is watering while writing this. I will definitely stay here next time when visiting Morioka. Grids hotel is just a memorable hidden jem.

We had a pleasant stay in general. However, room ceaning service needs to be improved. Our group of people have a few bad experiences. 1) after returning to room after the day, there was a used mask left in the bathroom. There’s also a day without providing onsen towels and we had to bring over the mid size ones 2) the door of my friend’s room remained open after the cleaning service (a 3M sticker with なすし2 sticked on wall). Glad there’s no missing items 3) another room, there was blood and urine stint left on the toilet cover! I hope the hotel can take it seriously as it indeed ruins the brand of IHG and bad customer experience.

I stayed at this place during my hike through the Michinoku coastal trail. This is a good choice before you attempt Kurosakiso and Kitayamazaki coast. This can be reached easily from Horinai station. Cross the big bridge and walk a bit more, you can see the sign to the left. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor onsen. Many locals come here to use the onsen. They probably have annual or life membership to use the onsen. It is a nice opportunity to chat with some of them. When I was there, it was raining and hence I could not enjoy the view, however, using onsen after hiking in the rain was quite relaxing. On a clear day, the ocean can be seen from the room window. Dinner can be ordered and is quite good at a reasonable price. The next day, the hotel shuttle dropped me to the train station which was quite nice, I did not have to walk in rain.

This hotel is really out-of-the-way; I'd recommend driving. It's mainly a place to go if you want to ski, as it's by a ski resort. I found the area to be very quiet. The hotel food was excellent, though you'll need some level of Japanese proficiency to effectively communicate with the staff. You can enjoy a bath in your room, or the hot springs downstairs. Overall quite nice, the rooms have a cottage feel.

En vacances au Japon, en utilisant le JR ( voyage par train), la position n'est pas si loin de la gare (1.3 km - 10 - 15 min à pied, facile pour moi) mais il n'y a pas de transport public. Idéal pour vous, cependant, si vous avez une voiture telle qu'elle est en dehors du centre-ville, facile avec parking. Le lit unique était bon, tout ce que je dois me reposer. Le petit déjeuner était ” rien de spécial” mais hein, il est bon qu'il y ait (toasts, jambons, yoghurt, une salade de pomme de terre avec une coupe de ham, café, lait, jus d'orange). Les installations comprennent laver les pièces, micro-ondes, eau chaude (pour les boissons brasées). Ceci au prix qui était beaucoup plus cher samedi soir que n'importe quel autre hôtel, et donc si vous êtes un voyageur au budget, tout ce qui est nécessaire peut être trouvé là
