hôtel situé près de la Fortuna Waterfall et de la voie vers le cercle chato (lac où une fois était la cratera d'un volcan).
Excellente option pour qui veut faire le trajet, car les non-invités doivent payer un frais de 15 dollars pour entrer dans la propriété (le trajet commence à l'intérieur du terrain de l'hôtel). Le trajet n'est pas pour tous, le niveau de difficulté est élevé.
Les anciens, mais fonctionnels, des fonctionnaires sympathiques et performants.

The pool was situated on 4th floor and was freezing cold very windy weather and no sun in the afternoon. The sun loungers were very flimsy in the wind and I trapped my finger in a lounger. Very painful. The receptionist was not very friendly but the shuttle driver was lovely

Very comfortable hotel. Clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Hotel provided 24/7 shuttle bus service and it was especially helpful for me since I reached San Jose airport only at 1.30 am. Will stay in this hotel again if I fly into Costa Rica again.

Location is great. Bed is comfortable and the room with A/C is so great. Netflix hotel account included was surprisingly unexpected as well. The vibe of the Selina La Fortuna is what I expected from reading reviews and the pictures.

L'emplacement est vraiment bien, il y a une décoration plus soignée à l'intérieur, vous pouvez voir toute la place lorsque vous prenez votre petit-déjeuner en haut de l'immeuble, et il y a de nombreux restaurants à proximité. Il est recommandé de rester ici à proximité. Après tout, l'avantage de prix est également bon. Le plus grand, il y a un dépanneur ouvert 24 heures sur 24 en bas. Ps. Le jus d'orange est vraiment bon à boire

The hotel is great and the staff is even greater.
The overall decoration of the whole premisses is very beautiful and there's a nice garden facing all rooms.
The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom has a good size and the bath space is big. The shower has a good volume of water and the heating works fine.
The room also has a closet, a drying rack for clothes (very helpful with all the hot springs and rain), a small fridge and air conditioning.
There are two pools and they are well cleaned.
But the staff is the real highlight of the hotel. Everyone is super friendly, polite and helpful. They cook an amazing breakfast and can also help finding the best tours.
I couldn't have asked for a better stay at La Fortuna.
Highly recommended.

IInvitéMy family and I arrived at Casa Del Rio on November 26. We spent 2 nights here. We are a party of 6 and booked three rooms under two separate reservations. My reservation was through Trip.com and confirmed on Nov 19.
This boutique hotel sprawls across a large, beautifully maintained property. The individual cabana-type rooms are spread out across the property. So, when I booked my reservation, I requested that my room be as close as possible to my family’s two rooms. I also messaged the property on WhatsApp and requested that my room be adjacent to, or as close as possible to, my family’s rooms. On Nov 20, I received a message: «If the rooms are the same category, we can try to accommodate you. I replied, «Yes, all three rooms are the same category (a king bed and twin)». I also received an email from the hotel (hotelboutiqueca.4rr68r2bkw630rt@service.trip.com) and sent the same request for our three rooms to be adjacent to each other.
When we arrived, two rooms on the same reservation were adjacent to each other, but my room was far away in a completely different location. I asked for assistance to modify this, and the receptionist told me «not possible ». She asked to see the emails to confirm that I had sent requests, but she did not attempt to assist. She could have asked for assistance by checking with her superior, but she did nothing.
This was poor service. The refusal to make any effort to assist was blatant and hugely disappointing. The evenings were pouring rain, and we hoped to gather as a family, but we didn’t because we were located so far apart.
Aside from this one issue, the boutique hotel is lovely. The rooms are huge and spacious, tastefully decorated with a light color palette, and feature extremely comfortable beds with very nice bedding (making for a fantastic night’s rest after an active hiking day in Fortuna). The rooms had a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a large-screen television, a good-sized closet, a safe, and an attached balcony. The entire room was immaculately clean.
The entire Boutique Hotel is beautifully maintained and feels very secure (gates and a large wall surround the property). However, I didn’t see a security guard at night. The property needs a little more lighting on its walking paths for those walking to the pool, spa, or restaurant, or meeting family/friends after 6pm (it’s very dark).
The pool was enjoyed by our 13, 17, and 18-year-olds. The other three adults enjoyed massages at the hotel spa (at least I did - Michelle was great. Be sure to request a therapeutic, gentle massage).
The breakfast (included with the room) was absolutely delicious and very filling. We opted for the local-style breakfast (3 options: American, breakfast sandwich, or local). We were served fresh juice & fruit, warm/freshly baked pastries, a delicious main course (eggs, rice and beans, sausage, plantain, etc.), followed by coffee and tea. Everything was scrumptious. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, was impeccably clean, and offered gracious, kind, and attentive service.
It would be nice if this property included access to a washer and dryer because, in the rainforest, clothing becomes damp… it would be lovely to be able to clean or at least dry some clothing quickly.
Undeniably, this is a relaxing, extremely comfortable, immaculately clean, safe, and beautiful Boutique hotel. It doesn’t have direct access to hot springs (a must-do in Fortuna), but this hotel offers lovely, high-quality accommodations. It’s suitable for families and groups (if/when they accommodate adjacent rooms) and honeymooners.
If you have a special request, then call ahead and speak with someone on the property and confirm before you arrive. With the exception of the first staff member I encountered on the property, every other member of the hotel staff was welcoming, kind, gracious, and very helpful.

IInvitéL'hôtel est formidable et le personnel encore plus. La décoration générale de l'établissement est magnifique et un joli jardin donne sur toutes les chambres. La chambre était spacieuse et propre, la salle de bain est de bonne taille et la baignoire est grande. La douche a un bon débit et le chauffage fonctionne parfaitement. La chambre dispose également d'un placard, d'un étendoir à linge (très pratique avec les sources thermales et la pluie), d'un petit réfrigérateur et de la climatisation. Il y a deux piscines et elles sont très propres. Mais le véritable atout de l'hôtel, c'est le personnel. Tout le monde est extrêmement sympathique, poli et serviable. Ils préparent un petit-déjeuner exceptionnel et peuvent également vous aider à trouver les meilleures excursions. Je n'aurais pas pu rêver d'un meilleur séjour à La Fortuna. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Merci à tous pour cet excellent séjour, continuez comme ça !

GGAPONVery nice and beautiful hotel, built with high-quality materials and a great design. However, my biggest disappointment was that a 5-star hotel did not provide complimentary water in the room, instead selling it for $4.50 per bottle. This is especially surprising in Costa Rica, considering that the room costs over $1000 per night.
It feels quite disappointing and even greedy that they are unwilling to meet basic international standards of service. In my opinion, the management should take inspiration from hotels in Asia and the Middle East, where guest service is often much more thoughtful and complete.
I felt that instead of providing small essentials as part of the service, they were trying to charge extra for everything, which negatively affected the overall experience.

We had an incredible time at this beautiful hotel! The hot springs were a true highlight—relaxing and rejuvenating, with breathtaking views. The waterslides added a fun and adventurous twist to our stay. The property itself is stunning and well-maintained, with a serene and inviting atmosphere.
The only downside was the lack of dryers anywhere on the property, which meant we had to take some damp clothes with us on the plane. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to our friends. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with unique amenities, this place is a fantastic choice!

IInvitéWe had a wonderful experience with Casa Luna! The hotel property is beautiful with an amazing garden. Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious!
The hotel staff are very nice and ready to help. One night we were walking in the garden, we ran into a hotel security, Dimas (hope I got the name right). We asked about animals. Dimas right away gave us a tour and showed us so many animals! We saw sloth, snake, frogs (including the green one), alligator, fresh water crab...all in the hotel garden!!! The garden is a paradise. Inside the hotel property, all we could hear was the sounds of insects, frogs, birds...
We are so happy that we stayed at Casa Luna!

LLouise MarieI read summer great reviews of this place and it did not disappoint. There are small trails on the property. Stunt get excited, they are small but you are not next to another building! The pool is nice but not heated. If you are from the NE US, you are used to it. Or was refreshing especially after being in the sun for a bit. The hotel is nicely kept but more of a local style which I prefer more than the standard hotel room. The room is beautiful and the bed is comfy. You can't go wrong here. Many people I met do the same thing, spend the last night in Costa Rica before flying out. Very secure, not much near, but the best ends to your pura vida vacation.

Les eaux chaudes étaient étonnantes, j'aime l'option d'avoir au moins un des eaux chaudes ouvertes 24/7, ils changent chaque nuit pour des fins de nettoyage, ils sont très stricts sur les serviettes, chacun est littéralement comptabilisé pour sinon il y a un frais par serviette, Pas beaucoup tant que vous gardez le tracé, n'avez pas vraiment besoin de porter un toilet autour de tout, le seul côté que je dois dire était que le restaurant italien était beaucoup mieux que l'option de buffet, les diapositives sont également assez intenses, J'ai vraiment mal à la jambe sur l'un d'eux, mais ça n'a pas arrêté le plaisir.

VVerified MemberThe staff were all great, especially all the restaurant staff. I especially appreciated the hotel making special arrangements to celebrate my birthday. However, some of the shortfalls included the very slow and inconsistent WIFI at our building (500), the bathroom door couldn’t be kept closed, and the in room jacuzzi never got hot. But on the positive note, the in room AC was very good, the room, bathroom and shower were spacious and had hot water.
P.S. I was underwhelmed by my undercooked tomahawk during dinner.

IInvitéSuper arrêt avant de prendre un vol tôt. C'est un paradis tropical sécurisé dans la zone un peu rude de l'aéroport. La direction nous a aidés à organiser le transport jusqu'à l'aéroport. Nous avons mangé un bon dîner et petit-déjeuner paisibles ici. Très heureux que nous n'ayons pas eu besoin de chercher de la nourriture. La chambre était jolie mais pas climatisée mais nous avons ouvert les portes du balcon et avons bien dormi.
