Hôtels 2 étoiles à Gansu, Chine

We arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.

L'accueil dans cet établissement est de loin le plus chaleureux et hospitalier que nous ayons reçu durant notre voyage en Chine jusqu'ici. Les hotes ont été aux petits soins avec nous et nous les remercions vivement pour leur aide et leur gentillesse. La pension est etonnante avec ces chambres-tentes sous la verrière et la maison est vraiment magnifique dans son style traditionnel tibétain . En revanche l'expérience des nuitées peut varier en fonction des autres locataires de la pension car les tentes offrent peu d'intimité et ne sont evidemment pas insonorisées😁 Avec des personnes respectueuses c'est un vrai plaisir, avec des personnes bruyantes cela peut etre gênant. Nous avons vecu les deux !

The train station basement had no internet connection so I was not able to get DiDi.  Not only did I overpay even after negotiating, but the driver spent the beginning part of the trip texting and I had to swing my arm across him as we were about to rear end another car.  20 minutes later arrival at Maiji Shan park entrance. The friendly owner was already there and immediately helped me with my bags.  A few minute drive to the expansive farmhouse.  I asked for a bowl of noodles which was hot and delicious provided by a grandmother woman. Chinese farm Breakfast was plentiful.  I used the heat as the mountains got cold quickly when the sun dropped.  The immaculate room was large with two double beds, a tv and desk.  The bathroom had integrated toilet and shower so it is wet.  Plenty of hot water tho the turn on was a matter of button pressing.  I learned something new!  Toiletries and paper towels (another first) were provided.  The owner took me to Maiji Shan.  Sadly, it was closed; rain had made rocks fall making it dangerous to climb the stairs. Nevertheless, I took some photos.  I tried to walk back (beautiful fall day), but the owner met me along the wayThe owner and I communicated via WeChat translator.  DIdi was not available and as we started for the train station the bus came behind us.  So the owner put me on it and I wrote via the app.  The bus drives very slowly but I got to the station to run back and forth with my bags, then going to a different floor to get a paper ticket, then back to the waiting area, thru the gate, up the stairs, and finally to my sleeper car.  Outside of asking me for my passport and various tickets about 10 times no personnel was particularly helpful tho I was noisily wheezing.  As I was getting off, Another passenger grabbed my bags and ran down the stairs with them and then went back to the train.  Probably someone in the medical field!  Platform smoking and between cars smoking can affect some people.

C’est une sensation onirique et l’expérience en pleine nature est géniale ! Lorsqu'on séjourne en pleine nature, la première chose est de regarder le paysage. Le paysage des collines désertiques n'est pas à mentionner. Bien qu'il soit au pied de la montagne, il est quand même rafraîchissant. C'est aussi génial de prendre des photos dans un espace ouvert. Ils nous ont donné des conseils sur la façon de prendre des photos du ciel étoilé et ont fourni un support pour téléphone portable. PS Si vous venez ici, assurez-vous de demander à la femme de ménage ou à la femme de ménage. patron pour une lanterne aux chandelles (le magasin la fournira gratuitement). L'ambiance pour prendre des photos est géniale. Au niveau des repas, nous avons commandé un barbecue au magasin et avons mangé sur la terrasse de la salle (quatre personnes peuvent s'asseoir dessus, et si plus de quatre personnes mangent sur le sable en contrebas de la terrasse)

來跑馬的，把定的其他的退了，選擇了這個，物有所值，非常完美。因為住滿了所以顯得有點點吵鬧，但靜中有鬧，真的挺不錯的。跑完回來有點晚了，等我收拾完已經超了退房時間，老闆娘姐姐也沒催我，讓我慢慢收拾不着急。我預訂的時候説幫我留下鋪，老闆娘也還記得，太感謝了。如果還來蘭州我優選住在這裏，離黃河樓超級近，出門就是，太好逛了。

This new hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The new facilities were clean and tidy. The bedroom was temperature controlled, which was great in the cold winter. I especially liked the little table area to relax next to the bed. In the lobby, there were also free password locked luggage storage units that are convenient if you need somewhere to store your luggage for a few hours after check out. As well as that, I was surprised to find the washing machine and dryer in the lobby were also free for use. I communicated with staff in Chinese (I didn't even try to use English) and they were always happy to help. I think I would have, however, appreciated a little more information on check in as I only realized as I was leaving that I hadn't taken advantage of the free breakfast...and didn't know how to access it.

Unfortunately my experience wasn't good. Hot water didn't work, it was only warm. I did it in the afternoon anyway but ny boyfriend waited untill 11pm. Elettronic key of our room never worked. We always had to call someone to open our room. About water problem they said there was an issue in all the hotel and they can fix it the next morning. We could not find a standard queen bed room, they have queen room just very expensive and for cheaper price they have only twin rooms. We paied a full amount for the night we staied but we didn't have full 100% service we should receive from the booking. They suggest us a refund to change hotel but it was so late and we are travelling with bicycles, after a ride of 150km we were too tired to move in another location during the dark at 10pm. We just needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep. Finally we received a 100 cny caution back, and the next morning ladies at reception gave us 6 small bottle of water to apologize. I'm really upset about nobody advise us about water issue during check in, so there was still time to move in another accomodation, especially for elettronic key, I can't understand why it's never worked. Be carefull for next booking about rooms at 5th level. I don't know if it's a problem only for foreign people or for everyone. Room price list are very expensive so, I think they have not a bad service. Unfortunately it's the first time during my 32 years happened this, especially during my 27 days in China, all the issue where always well reserved. This time my experience was really stressful, I don't feel like to recommended it and I hope never happen again to other travelers. Thank you anyway.

La chambre est propre et propre, essentiellement à deux minutes de marche pour la cabane de bois, très pratique. Le patron est très enthousiaste et le service est particulièrement bon. Très recommandé.

Ce B&B très confortable se trouve à quelques minutes à pied de la porte ouest du mont Mingsha. Des activités d'observation des étoiles sont proposées en soirée, ce qui en fait un endroit idéal pour les enfants. La décoration élégante confère une atmosphère chaleureuse, avec des touches de bois naturel et des éléments d'observation des étoiles disséminés dans chaque détail. Fortement recommandé pour tous ceux qui visitent Dunhuang.

This is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators. Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back. As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers! One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best! Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)
