Location is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

Stayed at Flock Hostel Kathmandu and overall it was a pleasant experience, especially for budget travellers and solo backpackers. The location is quite convenient — easy to reach by taxi or InDrive from the airport, and close to Thamel area. The hostel has a calm, friendly atmosphere despite being in the city. Perfect if you want somewhere simple to rest after long walks around Kathmandu. I stayed in an 8-bed dorm. The room was clean, bed was comfortable enough, and lockers were provided. Bathrooms were shared but generally clean and usable. Hot shower was available, which is really appreciated after a long day out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling and willing to answer questions or help with directions and transport. The common area is nice for chilling, meeting other travellers, or just resting quietly. This is not a luxury place, but for the price, it’s good value for money. Suitable for backpackers, solo travellers, and anyone who prefers a relaxed, social hostel environment. 10min away on foot from the airport, perfect for a short stay to catch the next flight. Very funktional, personnel very helpful and kind. Breakfast is also good, we had the Indian breakfast.

Je n’y ai passé qu’une nuit, mais c’etait exactement ce qu’il me fallait. Un endroit pour me poser et me reposer. Une chambre de 4 personnes très propre et équipée en prises et lumières personnelles, une salle de bain propre avec eau chaude! Mais surtout, deux étages confortables au rooftop pour profiter de la vue en lisant un petit bouquin ou faire un yoga tranquillement. Le personnel était très agréable !

La chambre est propre et bien rangée. Les toilettes sont propres. Je me sens très bien. C'est le meilleur endroit où séjourner à Katmandou. J'y ai séjourné six jours consécutifs. Le propriétaire est très sympathique. Mon anglais est moyen, mais il est très patient.

L'hôtel est dans une position parfaite proche de l'aéroport. L'hospitalité du personnel est également satisfaisante. Recommandez aux voyageurs courts de rester si vous avez un vol en un autre jour.

Hôtel local au centre de Kathmandu Pas loin de Thalem et Durbar Square Bon hôtel si vous voyagez sur un budget tout en profitant d'un bon déco népalais avec une patio-stupa au centre de la propriété. La chambre était très vieille mais raisonnable pour le prix !

Huge groups of africans from the hotel and neibouring hotel sitting under my window and shouting from late afternoon and into the night for 6 nights. The last night african woman and others fighting and shouting all night and early morning. They should of been thrown Out of hotel. Police should of been called. There are cockroaches in my room and i got bitten by them. I like the staff here and location but there are all africans staying here in groups of over 30 persons causing danger and excessive noise at night
