The hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay. Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive. The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice. One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is? Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening. First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this. I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing. The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details. The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here. Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100. (To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf) In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating. This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction. Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel. This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement. Nous vivons au troisième étage et nous avons séjourné pendant six jours. La chambre n'est pas grande, mais très propre. Il y a un magasin de pizza spécial dans l'angle de la route autour de lui, très délicieux, plein de personnes locales, vous pouvez emballer. Il est regrettable que le dernier jour soit trouvé.

La chambre est un peu emballée, le lit est super grand. Après avoir dit que la chambre est bien conçue et décorée. Minibar gratuit avec remplissage quotidien est rarement trouvé dans les hôtels en Europe. Le petit déjeuner buffet est absolument le point de vue. L'omellette est crispy dehors et fondue à l'intérieur, préservant la fraîcheur et les saveurs originales de tous les ingrédients. Toutes les personnes de l'hôtel sont gentilles et aidables. La location, qu'elle soit ou non convenable, dépend de la situation. Tout est à pied.

The main advantage of this hotel is its convenient location, as it is situated near a train station, making it easy to get around. I also appreciated the daily housekeeping service and the regular refill of the minibar, which was a nice touch. However, there were several issues that affected the overall experience. The reception staff (lady) were not welcoming and did not greet guests with a smile, which gave a poor first impression. More concerning was the lack of proper support when we encountered a problem with the room heating. Despite multiple attempts to adjust it ourselves, it did not work. When we reported this to the reception (lady), the staff’s response was unhelpful and came across as dismissive, as if we did not know how to use the system. Although another staff member (guy) mentioned they would check on it, the issue was never resolved. As a result, we had to endure two very cold nights. Additionally, the bathroom design was impractical. The shower had no door, causing water to splash all over the bathroom floor. On top of that, housekeeping did not consistently replace bath towels, which was inconvenient. In summary, while the location and some housekeeping aspects were good, the service quality and room facilities need significant improvement.

The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city. Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport. Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight. I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value. It’s not overly luxurious, but it offers everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay in Salzburg, making it a smart choice for both short city breaks and longer trips.

Je suis resté un total de 2 nuits, 1 nuit et 1 nuit tremplin. Mais... pourquoi dois-je payer autant de taxe de séjour ? Lorsque je l'ai acheté sur Trip.com, on disait qu'il coûtait 6 points et quelques euros, mais le prix réel que j'ai payé pour une nuit était de 16,8 euros. Pour 2 nuits, 16,8 euros chacune, 33,6 euros au total. Pourquoi est-ce différent de la première information que j'ai reçue ? L'anglais est court et le coût d'une nuit à différentes dates est le même, donc je n'en ai pas demandé lors de l'enregistrement... mais c'est parce que c'est tellement fort.

J'ai récemment séjourné au Dorint City Hotel Salzburg et je le recommande vivement ! L'hôtel bénéficie d'un emplacement idéal, à quelques minutes seulement des principales attractions de la ville. Les chambres sont modernes et confortablement meublées, avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. Le service était exceptionnel. Le personnel était sympathique et serviable, toujours prêt à donner des conseils sur les sites touristiques et les restaurants. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner était varié et délicieux, avec des ingrédients frais et un large choix. En résumé, mon séjour au Dorint City Hotel Salzburg a été une expérience formidable. Je le recommande à tous ceux qui souhaitent découvrir la beauté de Salzbourg !

Très proche de la gare, très propre, la chambre est grande et très confortable. En outre, les toilettes et les salles de bains sont rares en Europe, ce qui est très bon 々!!!!! Il y a des installations, des réfrigérateurs et des bains d'eau. Je le recommande !

Dans l'ensemble, un séjour agréable à Mazarta. Tout était comme il se doit, le personnel de la réception était très serviable et serviable, impeccable. Nous n'avons qu'une seule réservation. Les gens qui nettoyaient la chambre sont entrés dans notre chambre après 9 heures, alors que nous nous préparions encore à partir et que nous n'étions pas encore complètement habillés. Les gens sont entrés à deux reprises malgré nos demandes et le panneau « ne pas déranger » sur la poignée de porte. Pourquoi ces panneaux sont-ils là si le personnel ne les respecte pas ?
