the location is great, walk to everything. breakfast is very nice. I had problems w housekeeping. when I was arrived I was put in a room where the air conditioning didn't work and the toilet seat was broken. now if you cleaned a toilet you would know a toilet seat is broken and report it. I had to report to staff the toilet seat was broken. at the time. I didn't realize the air conditioner didn't work but after running it for 3 hours and a room was still so hot. I went down to the desk and told them it wasn't working properly. he did come up and try to get it to work but was unable to do so. there were no other rooms available and I had to spend my first night in a warm room. it finally cooled off some after midnight. The next morning. they were able to give me a next room when one became vacant. The second room wasn't as nice as the first room. I had no table and chairs. there was nothing to sit on. that second day I went on a tour and when I came back all I wanted to do was take a shower. there was no soap and shampoo in the shower and I'm naked. I had to put clothes on go to the desk and tell him I have no shampoo and soap. I also think housekeeping may have stolen my heating pad. I got to my next location and realized I don't have it. I really don't think I left it behind because I checked that room very good. I could have possibly accidentally left it in the first room and in my hurry to pack up the next morning before going on a tour from moving first room to the second room, but housekeeping could have brought it down to me in the second room.

If you are planning a trip to the beautiful city of Berat, I cannot recommend Hotel Onufri highly enough. From the moment we arrived, our experience was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of the historic Mangalem quarter, and while navigating the steep cobblestone streets can be an adventure, the incredibly helpful staff made everything completely stress-free. They went out of their way to assist us with our car and ensured we were comfortable from the very first minute. Their warm hospitality and genuinely nice service truly set the tone for our entire stay. Our room was nothing short of amazing. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, perfectly blending traditional Albanian charm with modern amenities. You can tell the staff takes great pride in their property because the attention to detail and cleanliness in the rooms is flawless. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the breathtaking scenery. Because of the hotel’s perfect position on the hill, our room provided a stunning, panoramic view of the famous ”City of a Thousand Windows” and the river valley below. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic atmosphere, caring staff, spotless accommodations, and some of the best sights in Berat, you should definitely stay here. We had a wonderful time and would return in a heartbeat!

La chambre qui nous a été attribuée était très satisfaisante, sauf que nous devions marcher 3 pistes pour y arriver. Il n'y a pas de bureau de réception, mais il fonctionne comme un airbnb. Nous avons fait un tour de la porte ouverte et attendu quelques minutes dans une ”zone d'attente” avant que quelqu'un nous ait parlé de donner les clés. L'hôtel est très bien situé, avec une piscine et une salle de sport. Il y a de nombreux restaurants à proximité. Cependant, à mon arrivée à 14 h, la chambre n'avait pas encore été nettoyée, ce qui était un point négatif. Pour le reste, tout était satisfaisant.

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour. Personnel accueillant et disponible. Superbe emplacement juste à côté du château avec un parking à dispositions. La chambre était très propre et disposait de tout le nécessaire avec une literie très confortable. Très bon petit déjeuner. Je recommande vivement !

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour et nous avons aimé la chambre - spacieuse, aesthétiquement agréable et très propre. L'hôtel nous a permis de parker sur la rue devant, et il avait aussi un grand parking dans un arrière-bouteillage derrière. Le petit déjeuner est à un autre hôtel (Hotel Gega) à quelques minutes de marche, puisque le principal restaurant de l'Hotel Plaza n'est pas encore prêt. En général, très satisfaisant voyage à Berat!! Merci pour le service merveilleux!

Service was definitely the highlight at Gega Hotel. The staff were fantastic and really friendly. Our room was ok, but it looked different from the photos and description. There was no fridge, but when I pointed this out, the staff provided one. We did have issues with the aircon, though, which couldn't be fixed. However, our stay was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

L’accueil parfait. Le petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits frais fermiers -excellent . La chambre spacieuse avec des finitions soignées et une décoration dans un style traditionnel vous plonge dans une ambiance chaleureuse qu’on emporte avec soi.

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Nice restaurant. Best thing - house martens nesting and skimming pool👍👍. Big pool that was empty in May but warm enough to swim. Nice seaside restaurants short walk from hotel.
