The location is great, just a ten min walk from the beach, or a five min walk to get a ten min bus to Boscombe or Bournemouth (although these only go every half hour, seem to always be late and stop running by 6.30pm so plan carefully, or take a stress free taxi ride instead - just £6 to Boscombe).  The hotel is clean and tidy, but the reception staff I met were sullen and unhappy to help, the beds we had were awful (feel every spring, I padded it with two quilts to be able to sleep, luckily it was very hot so we didn’t need them) and unfortunately our window was broken so I couldn’t shut the noise of people entering/leaving the hotel directly below the window out. However, the man sent to try to fix the window was extremely polite and helpful, and respectful of my request to be really quiet and softly spoken around my autistic son who was trying to get to sleep. And he fixed the window.  Luckily we were only staying for one night, so despite the painful bed, I would come back for another cheap, brief stay.

Des tours un peu défectueuses, mais dans l’ensemble, c’était un excellent « luxe économique » pour moi dans un emplacement vraiment pratique. Charmant vieil hôtel, bel espace bar donnant sur les jardins extérieurs. Salons Chesterfield confortables et parfois musique live et danse. Couloirs et escaliers déambulants. Votre chambre pourrait donc être un peu éloignée à travers de drôles de petits couloirs dans les coins et dans les escaliers, alors vérifiez ceci avant de quitter le comptoir d'enregistrement ! De nombreuses personnes avaient du mal à trouver leur chambre. Ensuite, les cartes-clés ne sont pas programmées correctement à plusieurs reprises, j'ai dû retourner au bureau et retourner dans la chambre. Mais à part devoir essuyer un peu de moisissure sur un mur…. Dans l'ensemble, j'étais satisfait du séjour et de l'emplacement car j'ai obtenu une bonne affaire sur Trip.com 35 £ la nuit. Et ils ont surclassé ma chambre sans fenêtre (est-ce même légal ? Vendre une chambre sans fenêtre) à une petite chambre double avec fenêtre ouvrante et baignoire. Donc j'étais heureux. Il n'y a pas de service dans les chambres, donc si vous restez quelques jours, vous devez demander plus de fournitures au service de ménage ou à la réception. Pour terminer ma promenade sur le sentier côtier, cet hôtel est situé à 25 minutes en bus ou à 15 minutes en train de Poole. Situé juste à côté de la plage de Bournemath, de la promenade et de la jetée de Bournemouth sur les lignes de bus 5, M1 et M2. Prenez le bus numéro 5 depuis la gare pour vous déposer à quelques mètres de la porte sur Bath Rd. Pour marcher sur le sentier côtier, le bus 50 part du haut de Bath Rd jusqu'à Swanage pour 2 £, y compris la traversée en ferry à Sandbanks, puis vous pouvez prendre un autre bus jusqu'à la porte de Durdle si vous le souhaitez. Vérifiez les horaires des bus. La traversée en ferry de Shell Bay à Sandbanks est gratuite ou 1 £ dans un autre trajet direct (Sandbanks à Shell Bay). J'ai marché jusqu'à Sandbanks depuis le Bath Spa Hotel le long de la promenade de la plage. Très belle longue promenade. L'hôtel propose un bon petit-déjeuner buffet pour 12 £ et un dîner buffet de qualité moyenne (le soir où j'y suis allé) pour 15 £. Il y avait suffisamment de plats savoureux pour que cela en vaille la peine pour moi. Arrivez tôt car ils arrêtent de réapprovisionner la nourriture s'ils ne sont pas occupés et que les choses s'épuisent. C'est une belle salle à manger donnant sur de belles pelouses et un coin salon extérieur. Le personnel de la salle à manger était vraiment adorable, serviable et heureux. Je n'ai pas utilisé la piscine et le bain à remous, mais cela avait l'air super dans une véranda extérieure séparée. Certains membres du personnel étaient 5 étoiles dans leur service. Une fille du bar était presque impolie et très inutile lorsque j'ai posé des questions sur le vin, elle a simplement répondu ”Je ne sais pas” et ne m'a pas renvoyé à la liste des boissons jusqu'à ce que je pose quelques questions supplémentaires et elle a finalement dit ”oui, là-bas, sur le bar” comme si j'aurais dû connaître ce détail. Le reste du personnel était très serviable et sympathique après mon séjour de quelques jours. L'hôtel est vaste et ressemble un peu à une garenne de lapins. Une chambre qu'ils m'ont donnée se trouvait au 21ème étage et j'ai dit que je ne pouvais pas transporter ma grosse valise là-haut, alors elle l'a changée en ascenseur sans problème. Alors vérifiez ces détails et n’acceptez pas ce qui vous mécontente, sinon ils essaieront de s’en tirer s’ils le peuvent. Défend ton territoire.

Fabulous location for shopping, beach and Bournemouth International Centre. Lovely staff, well appointed clean and comfortable rooms. Will definitely use this hotel again! .

Booked this hotel as I stayed before in some Ibis hotels. When came to check in the person from reception asked us to wait until he checks the room.( it was around 4pm)? I assume room was meant to be checked before. Took him about 10 minutes or so. Took the keys room was nice, comfy, minimalistic If i can say so.(i would have a mini fridge). In about 20 minutes while we weregeting ready to go out AC stared to lick quite badly. When went downstairs told the same person at the reception he only nodded ( I mentioned as its for the interest of the hotel as everything is geting wet, floor, wall). After we came back, enetered the room was quite hot as the AC was off. Couldn't turn on, tried to contact reception through the WhatsApp number that is offered in the room ( saying phones are such a 1980's), no one answered after about half an hour tried to call the same number, again no answer. Tried to call the hotel, went through the AI. Went downstairs in the end to ask how to turn on the AC. Person at the reception said it is off from them and he can turn it on for me, which he did. After about 1 hour i had to go downstairs back to ask to turn it off as the water dripping was getting on my nerves and the AC could not be turned down either from the room. At least I was given a fan that helped to solve the issue, and I was told to complain in the morning if I need. Another thing I want to mention is that therr is no ice in the hotel, as when i went downstairs and asked for it been told they dont have any, neither fridge is available in the room. So my fathers treat away was unfortunately ruined by the hospitality of the hotel. At least weather was good.

Entry from the car park to level -2 with stairs or lift access to Reception at level 0; (Additional access direct to street via a few steps at level 0 too); Check in was very quick with a short form to sign / append car registration if using the hotel's car park; Unfortunately 1 lift was out of order for the duration of our stay but there were very few times we noted the other lift was already in use; From here we had to traverse the complete length of the hotel to our room at the other end with stairs up and down, to find our room with window looking out over the laundry delivery area but some views of the sky still possible; By the admission of the staff, the hotel is (over)due a refurbishment and the whole place looks tired and worn, although noted to be clean; However shower cubicle in the room was plenty big enough, and the light-up mirror over the sink was good. The mixer tap on the hand basin appears to be plumbed L/R opposite to the markings on the tap; Plenty of plug sockets in the room, some with USB sockets. A big plus was the breakfast which was plentiful and efficiently overseen and served; Choices included standard cooked, cereals, fruit, etc with juices and hot beverages; No dinner was served but the hotel is is close proximity to several other venues within a 10-15min walk into the town centre; Also very close by is the BIC and the Pier / Seafront is less than 10 min walk; The Pool / Gym / Sauna is not very large but adequate and while the Hot Tub was warm with very vigorous jets, the Sauna was quite cool at the time of visiting. All in all, a nice enough place for a couple of nights, quiet and relaxing, with attentive staff.

Double sea view room with balcony. Spacious bedroom with nice seating area. Clean and in good decorative order. Comfy bed, quality linen. Wonderful, original metal-framed window and French door opening out onto huge balcony. Unfortunately, the sea view tuned out to be when looking left from the end of the balcony and not from the actual bedroom. Kettle needed descaling. Bathroom well appointed, nice towels and quality Elemis toiletries, but would benefit from a really thorough deep clean and a lick of paint. Absolutely fabulous public rooms, not ‘dated’, as some reviews suggest, but furniture and fixtures appropriately in keeping with the style and period of the building. Wonderful! Beautiful outdoor pool area and indoor spa. Lots of outdoor seating areas. Extensive woodland to the rear of the hotel. Just a few minutes walk to Knoll Beach, through the hotel’s extensive grounds (which includes tennis courts and a golf course) just over the road. Absolutely no information provided about any of these brilliant amenities, or indeed anything at all, in our bedroom. Also, no information about Wi-Fi, no information about breakfast times, no information about how to even contact Reception on the telephone provided in the room … The food at the evening meal was exceptional but was let down by the very slow service as staff focused on setting tables for the following day’s breakfast - which turned out to be so disappointing that it was hard to believe that both meals had originated from the same kitchen.

Stunning hotel, great location. Everything was fantastic. Small thing is room 109 has a small frosted window with no view. When opening it opens to a dirty mucky roof. We did not leave it open as vermin might enter the room. We also mentioned it was a 40th bday but no extras not even a note.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very approachable, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The location was also a plus, being close to the beach and convenient for getting around. We enjoyed the amenities provided, which added to the overall experience. While the hotel isn’t perfect and there are a few areas that could be improved, it definitely offers good value for money. Overall, we had a nice stay and felt that it was worth what we paid for.
