Hôtels avec petit déjeuner à Canterbury, Nouvelle-Zélande

My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

Je suis un peu déçu. J'attendais que ce soit un lieu de 5 étoiles, mais il y avait beaucoup de choses qui n'étaient pas 5 étoiles. Les robes étaient grises et ne couvaient pas les plus grands. Un d'entre eux avait pillé tout, je ne voulais même pas l'habiller. La porte de la salle de bains a bruyé de manière bruyante, donc si une personne est arrivée au toilette au milieu de la nuit, elle a réveillé l'autre personne. Il y avait des instructions sur l'utilisation du bain spa, mais pas sur la façon de mettre le plug-in. Il n'était pas juste plug-in normalement. Nous n'avons pas pu l'utiliser à notre première nuit, qui était très frustrant car c'était l'une de nos principales attractions. Quelqu'un est venu voir et dit que vous devriez tourner un savon sur le côté du spa, comment le savez-vous? Le verrou de la porte à l'extérieur a été brisé et une petite caisse a été mise sur. L'hôtel est très bien situé, mais il est très bon de se rendre à l'hôtel. Le pire était notre dernière matin, nous avons dîné à 8h45, le restaurant se ferme à 9h30. Il y avait des oeufs continentals et des bacons. À 9h00, ils ont arrêté de produire plus de pain pour la toast. Il y avait environ 6 tables avec les invités et tout le monde s'est monté et s'est vérifié, mais ils ne se sont pas rechargeés. Mais pour une raison, le gardien a continué de lever les coffres sur l'œuf et le bacon pour voir ce qui était là, mais il n'y avait rien comme il n'avait pas rempli et il était le seul gardien !! Je suis vraiment déçu et je ne le recommanderais pas, à moins que vous n'obteniez un bon rabais.

Spacious room and conveniently located in city centre. Friendly staff. On site parking is limited but the meter parking is free of charge from 6pm till 9am.

I have previously stayed in this chain of pod hotels and the one up in Auckland was fantastic and I gave a raving review. Perhaps I got these guys on a bad day but I really felt the service had dropped significantly since  my First visit a year and a half ago in Auckland.  The main concern I had was the bathroom was pretty disgusting and something that I would definitely not use. You can see the reasons why in the photos that I will post. Mainly there was here all around the place and a lot of dropped water on the floor old products just in the corner even if they were advertise as free it looked disgusting and could be done in a much clean hygienic way. Just needs a bit more quality management in this area.  perhaps I got them at the end of the weekend with low interest in maintaining clean bathrooms but this was just not good. My second gripe or concern was that inside the pod the electronics of the light and fan were not visible and I took at least 15 minutes to figure out how to actually turn on off the lights and this was only done eventually by accident by me accidentally touching the panel as the back light of the panel was not functioning therefore it was not easy to determine where to turn the light on and off. My last gripe was that the door needs to be more effectively managed because it still slamming every time someone goes in and Out likely waking everyone in the pods certainly Juan understands in this type of accommodation you have to put up with a bit of noise but this was a little bit out there at 6 am 7 am in the morning. So overall, a little disappointed, but for the price point it served its purpose.

Had to lug our luggage ourselves, no help. Room is small but comfortable and clean. Bathroom size is reasonable. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Location of hotel is quite central, we drive around. Parking is on street. And start paying after 11am, but free from 6pm to next day 9am.

Breakfast is good. Location is good. Receptionists are kind and helpful. Hotel booklet mentioned the filter water is available in the lobby area but receptionist asked us to go to restaurant area to get it. However, the restaurant staff were very rude to us and questioned us. We felt we were treated like a the thefts when we just tried to fill in the hot water in our water bottles. The hot water was only available from the coffee machine, which is very inconvenient and the restaurant staff thought we tried to steal coffees when we just tried to get the hot water. Suggest not to put the water machine in the restaurant area to avoid this problem again. Very bad experience to be treat like this.

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom lake view suite, it was well appointed and stylish, huge kitchen and living area and amazing views over the lake. However, for 4 adults, a single bathroom at this price point is unacceptable. Not even a powder room with a second toilet. Also, the bathroom fan and heater sounds like a jet engine in the second bedroom, which woke us up. Poor water pressure in the shower too. When we arrived both rooms were made up as single queen beds and we needed one changed to a twin. I called reception and was put on hold then hung up on after several minutes wait, two times. Then I tried calling again 5 times and the phone rang out. When I finally got through I was given attitude about the request to change one to a twin. Then we had to call again after 2 hours as nobody had been sent to split the beds. Oh also the mattress’ are firm and you can feel the springs. Not luxurious at all.

La chambre est assez spacieuse même il est un motel. Il y a 1 petite table à manger dans la cuisine. Le motel n'est pas loin du centre-ville, seulement quelques minutes de conduite. Pas d'ascenseur, donc éviter de gros bagages. Beaucoup d'espaces de stationnement gratuits dans les zones du motel.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Christchurch Airport. The location is unbeatable — literally just a short walk from the airport terminal, making it incredibly convenient, especially for travellers with young children. We stayed for one night with our toddler as we had an early morning flight the next day, and it was the perfect choice. Being able to rest properly without worrying about airport transfers made our journey so much smoother. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for our family. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid out, giving us a relaxing stay before our flight. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention to the concierge team, who kindly gifted our toddler a cute little Kiwi bird plushie. It was such a thoughtful gesture and brought a huge smile to his face. Small touches like these really make a difference and leave a lasting impression. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great service, fantastic location, and family-friendly hospitality. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Christchurch.

La chambre avec balcon était malheureusement en face, elle a été très bruyante quand la construction a commencé dans la rue les jours de semaines. The service was below the rating of the hotel as we’d expect. Children under the age of 13 were allowed to have breakfast for free, but the front desk duty manager tried to charge our 12-year old. Dans le restaurant, la garde-robe chargée du petit déjeuner et du déjeuner avait atteint son pouce à l'intérieur de la boisson et nettoyait le verre avec un linge de table usagé, quand je me suis rapprocher du bar et je me suis attiré tranquillement, J'ai été dit de rester là pour voir qu'elle fait une autre pour s'assurer que la boisson était propre.
