Excellent Stay and Warm Hospitality at Mercure Kathmandu This was my first time visiting Kathmandu, and Mercure Kathmandu truly left a wonderful impression. From the moment we arrived, the service and hospitality stood out. A special mention to Paras, who picked us up from the airport and helped us with check-in. He was exceptionally kind and professional, and even shared some very useful information about getting around Kathmandu — which really helped us make the most of our trip. We had booked a room with breakfast for only one person, but the hotel kindly extended complimentary breakfast for both of us — a gesture we truly appreciated. The room itself was awesome — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The toiletries were complete, even including a razor and shaving cream, which was a nice touch. Overall, the staff throughout our stay were consistently helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcome. Highly recommend Mercure Kathmandu to anyone visiting the city — great service, comfort, and warm hospitality all around!

Le restaurant était très bon, le personnel était très gentil, très utile et toujours prêt à aider avec tout. Le seul côté et je suis désolé de dire ce est le club de nuit à côté de la porte, ce qui m'a fait difficile de dormir. La gestion de l'hôtel devrait envisager de prendre des mesures concernant le club de nuit, car cela affecte de manière significative la capacité des clients à se reposer.

Hotel Country Villa was a great stay with some disappointments. The location is perfect with a great view from all around the hotel. The service and staff were great all around with some exceptions. I booked 3 rooms for a total of 5 people with non non-refundable plan but due to a decrease in the number of people from 5 to 4, the hotel agreed to cancel 1 room for free for us. Although the process took some time and some pushing from Trip.com agent I am grateful for the free cancellation. One of the rooms I booked, the Junior Suite was for my partner and me for a short honeymoon kind of stay. The room was well designed and had great views but the in-room Jacuzzi needs maintenance. The outdoor pool and Jacuzzi were also great and the pool staff let us use them more than the closing time. The disappointing part of the stay was during breakfast. The buffet was amazing but the glass I used for juice had lipstick stains which I noticed after drinking from it. I am a male who doesn't use lipstick so it was clearly not mine. When I complained to a staff member who seemed to be a supervisor of some sort, instead of an apology, he laughed and asked us ”Are you sure that it's not yours?” After that, he took the glass away and brought a new glass of juice but the juice was different from the one I was drinking. We were completely shocked by this as it was not a rookie staff that did this but rather a supervisor. Overall, we are satisfied with the whole stay but the lipstick on the glass has left a bad aftertaste.

The Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in a great location, walking distance to great souvenirs in Thamal, tourist sites like the Garden of Dreams and the former Royal Palace. The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it. I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

酒店服務非常專業，早餐豐富，前台服務熱情周到。説要水，很快就送來了。而且酒店裡面有電吹風，洗澡熱水非常舒適。 很多中國人到其他地方找中餐吃，結果發現最正宗的中餐在酒店樓上九層。而且這裏的巧克力布朗尼，非常正宗。原本應該是和冰淇淋一起吃，我提出來要吃熱的，酒店立即做了熱呼呼的冰激凌。酒店旁邊有個加德滿都最大的農貿市場，6個大蘋果，衹要不到20元人民幣。這裏什麼蔬菜水果都能買到。 因為加德滿都經常堵車，如果銜接航班，酒店離機場很近，這又是一大優勢。

Le restaurant est très confortable et très confortable. Le personnel du bureau de réception n'était pas très familiarisé avec son travail. 1. Je ne trouve pas ma réservation. 2. Mal calculé le nombre de nuits à séjourner 3. N'avait pas réalisé que la chambre était prépayée et allait être facturée à nouveau. Mais il a reconnu ses erreurs.

It was a lovely stay at The Terraces. The view to the Kathmandu valley was stunning and the mountain view during the clearer skies were worth it. The service was tiptop and everyone was so kind and helpful. The FnB Manger Suman has very friendly and do not hesitate to go extra miles to provide the best service. We will certainly be back to The Terraces when we are travelling to Nepal again.

Horrible Service – Not Worth the Price My experience at this hotel was terrible. The only good thing about it is its location and the fact that the rooms are well-decorated and clean. However, there are many issues that made our stay unpleasant. First, the hotel still uses traditional keys instead of automatic key cards, which is quite inconvenient. On our first night, we stayed on the third floor, but there was constant noise from the fourth floor, as if someone was dragging chairs non-stop. We tried calling reception around 2-3 AM, but no one picked up, and the noise continued throughout the night. The next day, we repeatedly requested housekeeping between 3:30-4:00 PM, but no one came. Our room remained messy, and they didn’t even provide fresh complimentary water, which is usually replenished daily. When we asked for water, they told us we had to pay extra. Only after I pointed out that our room hadn’t been cleaned did they finally send water. Breakfast was fine, but dinner was a disaster. We ordered the Royal Thali, which was served in a fancy silver plate, but the taste was disappointing. Anyone familiar with authentic desi flavors would agree that it was far from good. The portion sizes were small, and for the price they charge, even four-star hotels in Nepal provide much better service. The biggest issue is the staff's lack of professionalism, especially at night. If guests face any problems, they simply don’t care. This hotel needs serious improvement in customer service and staff training. I would not recommend staying here unless they make significant changes.

Bonne Old Hotel, Grand Staff avec quelques besoins d'amélioration. La piscine est totalement décevante. Il est préférable de fermer, de continuer à courir et de ne pas nager, de perdre de l'énergie. L'eau est sale, aucune étoile. La lobby, la salle et le bar Ghurka sont toujours très bons. 2 fermetures d'électricité en 1 jour, je crois qu'elles sont confrontées à des pénuries d'énergie due aux salles noires. Le petit déjeuner était si, le café ou le thé ne devrait pas être un défi de servir d'abord, a parfois pris la moitié de la nourriture avant qu'ils viennent. La chambre est confortable, un lit bon et toujours de l'eau fraîche. Les gestionnaires ne devraient pas rester en ligne de buffet, qu'ils aident le personnel de la ligne ou dirigent l'équipe, parler d'affaires en public n'est pas de notre inquiétude. Trainee de la table de front, a une bonne présence, je pensais d'abord qu'il était directeur. Il est possible d'améliorer et de polir beaucoup, l'hôtel dispose d'un grand potentiel, de designs agréables, de grandes installations et de grands personnels.

I stayed at Hyatt Centric Kathmandu and was pleasantly surprised — the room was actually better than in the photos! Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with stunning views of the mountains, the city, and even the Monkey Temple. Definitely a highlight of the stay. The rooftop pool was decent, not too crowded and with a nice ambiance. I also ordered room service once — the food was just okay, and the breakfast was a bit underwhelming, especially for a Hyatt. The selection was quite limited for this brand's usual standard. One downside was my arrival experience. I came down from a taxi and noticed there were no bellboys or concierge staff outside to help with my luggage — maybe due to a staff shortage? Only once I approached the lobby did a staff member assist me and take my bags to the room. Thankfully, check-in itself was smooth and fast, and I appreciated being allowed to enter my room before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The welcome drink was also a nice touch. All in all, the room and view were excellent — probably the best part of this Hyatt. Just a bit more attention to guest arrival and food variety would make the experience even better.
