I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The layout is designed to maximize the seaview, so no matter where you are—whether it’s the bedroom, the living area, or the small terrace—you can always feast your eyes on the gorgeous ocean scenery. It’s clear that the host put a lot of love and care into creating this wonderful space. The service here is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The host and all the staff are friendly, warm, and always ready to help with any needs or questions I had. They were quick to respond to messages, offered useful tips for exploring Dongshan Island, and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their genuine hospitality made me feel valued and cared for throughout my trip. Unlike many other accommodations where service feels impersonal, this homestay’s service is heartfelt and dedicated, adding an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. I’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but this homestay on Dongshan Island stands out as a true gem. ⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. 民宿環境不錯，離黃厝沙灘很近，出行方便，周邊吃的也多。前台小哥很熱情，還給升級了房間，帶個小客廳，寬敞多了，床品不錯，睡着舒服，洗衣房配有洗烘套裝，很方便各方面都不錯，唯一還有一點可以做的更好，打掃衞生時更仔細一些就好了，臟衣籃裏還有上位客人的遺留物。

Adepte aux voyages commerciaux Le centre de l'exposition est très proche. Le transport est pratique, la rue est cuisine, la chambre est propre et propre. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon. La prochaine fois que vous partez, vous restez ici. Le rapport coût-efficacité est très élevé, il est recommandé d'y rester.

Do not recommend this hotel. Booked ji xin room type and expected room not worse than photos and size and furniture as advertised in trip.com It's the first time I encounter staff kept telling me my room is a ”special offer” room at check in process when I didn't ask anything about the room. She was very friendly and even offered to usher us to our room. When we exit lift at level 9, she led us to a hidden stairs behind the lift. So no wonder she has to led us because the ”special offer” room was hidden. The wall and corridor looked different from the normal rows of rooms from lift level. When we went in the room, we realised it's very small but didn't immediately check trip.com photos and booking details. We put our bags and left quickly for dinner. When we returned I don't think the room matched what I booked here so I went to the counter and inform the same staff. At this moment, I understand why she kept using the words ”special offer room” when I checked in. Advertised pictures of the room type showed several different designs but all have space for table and chair. The room given to me only has leg space around the double bed and a low cabinet (height of stool) near the door. Shower and toilet are in the same space which means toilet will be wet when u shower. This room is 902. At the counter, the staff said I should have rejected the room at first glance and she doesn't have other rooms which looked more like the advertised rooms because I rejected too late. Her colleague besides her said the hotel has many different rooms. She said my room is ”special offer room” and they don't bother to look at my phone to see trip.com photos and listed space and furniture provided. I made the colleague look at trip.com room photos and tell me the type of room they belong to. To my horror, the staff sad those are Yi yue rooms and not yi xin. So I asked them if they are telling me that the hotel used yi yue room photos as advertisements to sell yi xin rooms. Then she became quiet and the girl suddenly has other room for me to change. Although the new room (also level 9) still didn't have the table and chair as per listed in trip.com booking details and photos but at least it is far more decent. Please be careful if you have already booked this hotel!

Cet hôtel a vraiment dépassé mes attentes ! Son emplacement est fantastique : la mer est à deux pas et se promener avec la brise marine est tellement relaxant. Le service était exceptionnellement attentionné et prévenant ; le personnel était chaleureux et aux petits soins, ce qui m'a fait me sentir comme chez moi. Il y a une multitude de restaurants à proximité, donc c'est facile de trouver de quoi se restaurer, et le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Les chambres étaient parfaitement équipées, propres et bien rangées, pour un séjour confortable et rassurant. En résumé, une expérience parfaite, je choisirai sans hésiter cet hôtel lors de mon prochain voyage !

They provide pick up service from train station with charges, they said its small business so must charge some. I am fine with that so engage their pick up service. As we had three large and heavy luggage and others baggage so I request for bigger car but the driver keep saying normal sedan wad enough. I travelled from Guangzhou to Xiamen and from Xiamen to Wuyishan I knew from the experiences that our luggage could only fit in bigger car and insisted on it regardless of how the driver reluctant to listen to me, they thought that I was just being picky. Anyway I paid more for bigger car, its not same fare, just dont get why the driver was so reluctant and unfriendly when he come and fetch us, his face was all black and very unfriendly. The hotel staff attitude were somehow not very sincered. Service was slow. Breakfast was ok only, we stayed there 4 nights and their breakfast were same everyday. First day breakfast noodles was a little sour maybe was kept overnight. The room sound insulation are poor, we would hear people talking outside our room, door closing. Rooms provide alot of little staff for guest which were quite thoughtfull.

Le paysage était magnifique de jour comme de nuit. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! La réceptionniste a été d'une grande aide. J'avais commandé sur Taobao et la réceptionniste a été très gentille de m'aider à retrouver mon colis. L'une d'elles m'a même aidée à ouvrir les casiers, car je ne connaissais pas le coin. Il y a plein de restaurants autour de l'hôtel, à seulement 2-3 minutes à pied de Zhongshan Lu ! L'hôtel était très propre et le service de chambre était assuré tous les jours, donc pas de souci si vous faites des dégâts. Tout était fourni et la réceptionniste nous a même mis en garde contre les arnaques. Le personnel était très serviable et sympathique ! Je recommande cet hôtel à tous ceux qui cherchent un bon hôtel à un prix abordable !

Le service est très bon et il est pratique de voyager. C'est un endroit calme juste à l'extérieur de la rue piétonne Zhongshan Road. La chambre est également très propre. Mon enfant a dit que le lit était très confortable. a une très bonne attitude de service.

L'expérience globale de cet hôtel dépasse les attentes, les installations sont parfaitement utilisées, la chambre est soigneusement nettoyée et la salle de bains est sèche. L'attitude du personnel est modérée, le bureau est très efficace et très intime, le service d'hygiène matérielle est en ligne, il est fortement recommandé de choisir cet hôtel.
