SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. L'hôtel est très bon et propre. Il y a des eaux chaudes à l'intérieur et à la piscine extérieure. Tout le personnel est très bon et nous aide beaucoup. Ils ne peuvent pas parler anglais mais ils utilisent WeChat pour nous parler et nous aider tout, puisque nous réservons comme nous réservons le bus ou nous envoyons comment aller à la voie ferrée ou comment trouver le bus. Ils aident aussi à commander la nourriture, à réserver des billets de scène, à écrire le signe pour nous aider à revenir à l'hôtel, nous sommes sortis.

Really enjoyed the stay. The room was super nice and well-maintained, and the surrounding area is convenient and pleasant. Staff service was good and welcoming. The hotel food was also nice. Would recommend.

L'hôtel Songoli qui séjourne dans le long du long du Changbai Mountain est vraiment plus que prévu ✨! L'espace de la chambre est large et large, notre famille est très grande et vivant facilement, l'activité est totalement non congestionnée et le confort de la vie est particulièrement élevé. Les droits et intérêts de jeux offerts par l'hôtel sont très élevés, ils comprennent de nombreux projets de parcs, économisez beaucoup de frais supplémentaires, voyagez et rentable. Il faut particulièrement féliciter les petits gars de la réception, être prudent et prudent lors de la réception, nous expliquer avec soin les routes du parc et les droits de transfert, et nous donner des explications claires sur tous les aspects. L'emplacement est bon, dans une communauté, avec la ville de Qingshan à la porte, une cantine et un supermarché. Que vous conduisiez ou preniez une voiture jusqu'à l'hôtel, vous devrez inévitablement monter les escaliers après votre arrivée, ce qui ne convient pas à ceux qui apportent beaucoup de bagages. L'hôtel est très fréquenté à l'intérieur, tous les espaces sont exigus et comme il est situé sur une colline, il faut monter et descendre par l'ascenseur. Il existe de nombreux espaces d'activités publiques, adaptés aux skieurs qui aiment socialiser. Le petit-déjeuner est l'un des pires hôtels dans lesquels j'ai jamais séjourné. Le serveur a eu une mauvaise attitude. Il a accidentellement renversé du lait de soja et a été attaqué. Pour parler franchement, cet hôtel n'est pas comme un hôtel quatre étoiles, mais comme un B&B trois étoiles. En tant que B&B, le prix est exagérément élevé. Vous pouvez séjourner dans des B&B à proximité pour la moitié du prix.

We really enjoyed our stay here a lot. The staff were very helpful and friendly in helping to make it an enjoyable stay. It guest laundry room is really busy in the evening, if you are in a rush can just consider washing it and hanging it up in the room. The climate is very dry and the wet clothes help to maintain humidity in the room. Most of the clothes dried by the next morning. Location was about 10 minutes drive to the 二道白河镇。other than the location, everything else was great and the hotel is new. Also special thanks to 丁相龙 who have agreed to convert my HSR pick up to sending us there at 5am in the morning. We are truly thankful for the gesture and the extra mile taken.

Spacious rooms and free laundry area with detergent. It’s quite deserted but easy to get cab to go around other places. Nearby hotel there is a hidden gem 米线, we had our dinner there for the 2 nights we stayed in this hotel, highly recommend! Hotel breakfast was decent as well, although the soy milk and coffee all taste quite diluted.

Here’This resort hotel was the most satisfying stay of our entire 8-day China trip across Harbin, Changbaishan, Xuexiang, and Yabuli. We stayed in a family residence unit, which allowed all of us to live together comfortably under one household. The resort is extremely clean and well-maintained. Our unit even included a mahjong table and a private hot spring, which made the stay very enjoyable. Although the price is not cheap, it is definitely worth the money. The butler service was excellent — the staff were attentive and always did their best to accommodate our requests. Highly recommended. I’m confident you will have a pleasant and memorable stay here.
