The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

Nous sommes arrivés à Chester plusieurs heures avant l'heure d'enregistrement et souhaitions savoir si nous pouvions laisser nos bagages à la consigne. Cependant, notre chambre était déjà prête et on nous a dit que nous pouvions nous installer immédiatement ! (Excellent début !) Nous avons également bénéficié d'un surclassement à prix réduit (une attention très appréciable). L'extérieur est magnifique, la porte tournante (peut-être mon élément préféré de l'hôtel, haha) et le grand escalier étaient tout simplement splendides ! Le personnel était extrêmement aimable et serviable. Je m'étais coupé le doigt plus tôt dans la journée ; la coupure se rouvrait sans cesse et un membre du personnel a eu la gentillesse de me fournir des lingettes et des pansements supplémentaires, car je n'en avais plus. La chambre était tout simplement splendide ! Nous avions vue sur les jardins à l'arrière, qui étaient magnifiques avec les couleurs d'automne ! Le lit était grand et confortable ! J'aimerais beaucoup savoir où acheter les oreillers ! Je déteste monter les escaliers, mais ceux-ci étaient tellement majestueux que j'avais envie de les emprunter. Nous n'avons pas dîné à l'hôtel, mais nous avons pris un verre au bar en attendant un ami et c'était très agréable. La nourriture avait l'air délicieuse. Le seul problème que j'ai rencontré, c'était un bourdonnement étrange la nuit qui m'a empêché de m'endormir. J'avais pourtant emporté des bouchons d'oreille et j'aurais dû les utiliser, c'est de ma faute ! Je reviendrais sans hésiter lors de notre prochain séjour à Chester !

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and our choice was primarily due to its convenient location and excellent breakfast. It is very close to the airport and very quiet at night, surrounded by farms and grassland. We love the breakfast because it is not a typical buffet. Instead, you can choose from a menu with a great variety of options, all of which taste wonderful. The restaurant's decoration is also lovely, and you will be more than satisfied with the portions. The restaurant staff are passionate, friendly, and helpful. One point to note is that the reception area often has guests around, which is just an observation and neither positive nor negative. The receptionists always do their best and are very nice and professional. However, the room design is a bit outdated.

Checking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance! Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay.

Chambre parfumée de vomissements et les curtains ont été détruits informés personnel ils semblaient attentifs mais nous n'avons pas été offerts un changement de chambre L'hôtel est contracté aux travailleurs qui travaillent sur l'autoroute aussi beaucoup de couples avec chiens dans la chambre À mon avis, la propreté a diminué dans cet hôtel

Aménagement élégant, belle vieille maison. Les lits pour enfants sont inconfortables (pire que ceux dans le logement ou dans le premier salon). Ne vous ennuyez pas avec le petit déjeuner! Continuez à courir des choses et n'a pas toujours remplacer. Bacon inédible, sauces chers, pas de pudding de lac, même si c'est sur le menu et de petites portions. Je resterais encore mais je ne m'ajouterais pas le petit déjeuner

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits. Presque tout était simple. Le personnel était sympathique et serviable. L'hôtel était propre, bien qu'un peu vieillot par endroits (espace piscine). Le parking était cher mais facile, et l'emplacement à proximité du centre-ville était juste un rêve. Toutes les principales attractions romaines et de la ville sont facilement accessibles à pied. Dans l'ensemble, un très bon séjour. Le seul problème que j'ai, c'est que le premier soir, nous avons commandé le service en chambre après un long voyage. Il a fallu 3 tentatives pour que la commande soit correcte. C'était décevant, mais en fin de compte, ce n'était pas un problème majeur.

Incredible from start to finish. Slight mix up on the booking system but sorted within minutes. Couldn't have been better looked after! Excellent value, staff that go the extra mile made our 1 night stay so enjoyable the children didn't want to go home!

Limited parking available, you need to park near the train station and quite a distance walk to the hotel. Bathroom door is hard to close and the basin water flow slow and overflowed. Limited power points.
