⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) is more than just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re visiting Xiamen, this is truly one of the best choices: a 3-star property delivering 5-star service and comfort. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

入住這家民宿，實在是感覺太好了！老闆熱情好客，請我們隨便吃他家自產的百香果，品他家的茶。早餐便宜實惠。停車方便免費。房間的廊亭下面就是菜地，站在窗前就可以欣賞田園風光。離景區懷遠土樓很近，步行幾分鐘就到。離雲水謠古鎮溜達着就可以到。以後如果再來這裏，首選的還是這家民宿。

Cinq étoiles! Vous êtes très proche de la mer, vous êtes à la baie de la louange, à côté de la baie de Majiang et de la baie de Jinjiang, vous êtes pratique de regarder la mer et la louange! Demandez de monter pour changer de pantalon et de séparer la louange de la séparation sec, et vous voyez qu'il est très important pour la santé. Le quartier public est super grand, il y a beaucoup d'instruments dans le magasin, il est souvent possible de chanter des guitares et de chanter l'atmosphère directement remplie. Je joue aussi avec les amis du magasin, très heureux 🥳 Le patron est super bon, il est honnête et très intéressant. Il y a un table-bars à l'extérieur pour écouter des chansons et un plateau de cartes de pêche est intéressant hahaha 🤣 Le premier étage offre des vêtements gratuits et un endroit spécial pour les vêtements de bain. Il y a aussi un petit chat et deux chiens, chaud et chaud, une expérience de logement superbe!

La décision la plus appropriée de cette visite à Pyongyang est de choisir cette famille! Il faut féliciter un établissement de cinq étoiles! Le chef offre un transfert gratuit à la gare de haut débit, qui nous a épargné les problèmes de chemin de fer. La chambre est vraiment incolore, et la plus surprenante pour moi est de fournir un sac à main unique, c'est un évangile pour les voyageurs qui se concentrent sur l'hygiène! Le patron est super enthousiaste, nous présente comment jouer à Pyongyang, le festival de la métropole, le patron nous a envoyé un sac à main et nous a invités à dîner ensemble. Cette famille a dépassé le logement lui-même, c'est une expérience pleine d'émotions. Il est fortement recommandé à tous les amis qui sont en plein air, ce qui est absolument plus précieux!

Really grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.

Cet appartement se situe à 6 minutes en voiture du port de Kinmen. Le quartier est fermé, comme une zone de plaisance. Selon la saison, certaines choses peuvent être fermées, mais c'est idéal si vous souhaitez vous promener sur la jetée, profiter de la nature ou prendre un ferry ou un avion. Je vais évaluer cet appartement comme un appartement de type Airbnb, puisqu'il s'agit d'une location classique. À l'arrivée, il y a eu un petit couac : on nous a attribué deux chambres et on nous a demandé de chercher notre visa dans nos passeports pour prendre les photos. L'appartement est globalement très bien pour un court séjour, avec une belle vue, une bonne télévision et beaucoup d'espace. Le téléphone de mon mari se connectait à internet et la connexion était excellente, contrairement au mien. Un problème courant avec les téléphones non chinois. La salle de bain est moderne et agréable. Le lit était également très confortable. Comme il s'agit d'un appartement, certains points pourraient être améliorés pour les longs séjours. 1) Bien qu'il y ait un grand réfrigérateur, on ne vous fournit pas de deuxième clé, donc il restera allumé après votre départ. Normalement, je laisse une clé sur le contact et j'éteins tout manuellement, mais on m'a dit que ce n'était pas possible. Du coup, si vous restez un certain temps, le frigo s'éteindra à chaque fois que vous vous absenterez. 2) Il y a bien une plaque de cuisson, ce qui est super, mais impossible de cuisiner : ni casserole, ni poêle, ni assiette, rien. C'est bizarre, sinon à quoi sert une plaque ? C'est clairement un appartement qui pourrait être mieux équipé, comme un Airbnb. 3) Il y a bien un lave-linge, ce qui est génial, et de la lessive, ce qui est un vrai plus, mais impossible de sécher le linge. Pas d'étendoir, pas de ventilateur, et les deux fenêtres ne permettent pas une aération suffisante. Il n'y avait que six cintres. 4) Si l'appartement était plutôt propre, les placards de la cuisine et l'isolation du frigo étaient vraiment sales. On voyait bien qu'ils venaient de passer la serpillière, et nous sommes arrivés vers 20 h. À certains endroits, il y avait des moisissures noires visibles au plafond, ce qui pourrait être un problème plus grave. Le robinet de la salle de bain était aussi très mal fixé. L'appartement est cependant super et pourrait convenir à des séjours plus longs si ces problèmes étaient résolus. On pourrait s'attendre à un service similaire à Airbnb. Ayant moi-même vécu sur Airbnb ces sept dernières années, je souhaite simplement vous aider. Donc, si vous partez pour une nuit ou une semaine et que ces points ne vous dérangent pas, je vous le recommande. Pour ma part, c'était parfait pour un court séjour.

Love the warmth given by the innkeepers. Being invited to join the local culture of tea drinking (or tea sipping) from morning until night is such a fun time for us. We got to chit chat, exchange knowledge and cultures. Love it. Will revisit.

The apartment location is in good environment, going around with taxi is fair enough, however, the building itself doesn't exist on the map, only the neighbor one does, which made us difficult to find the right building when we first arrived, plus we have no idea that the check in room, is one of the room on the 5th floor, as in the address of the hotel, it just put room 501, 521 Gaolin Road, etc. I recommend to give more details to ease the check-in of the hotel description like, 'when arrive, please contact room 501 on the 5th floor to check in', also, the hotel should pin the exact building location on the map, otherwise, guests may get lost on first arrive like us, whereas people around don't speak English to help too. The apartment itself is clean and in good condition with good space & layout. Facilities are good enough, except, the kitchen is kind of waste because there is no kitchenette at all, they only provide bottle water, glasses/paper cup & electric kettle in the kitchen, in which we expect a hotel apartment should have at least some kitchenette like tableware, cutlery, pot or pan (as they have electric stove) and at least a microwave oven & dishwashing liquid, which partly why we choose to stay in the apartment rather than normal hotel. This is one of the upset issues that we have for this stay. The breakfast comes as McDonald's breakfast coupon consists of one small Berger & a drink, which is fine as McDonald is on the street level of the building itself. Plus thing is that we can request for more bottle water & the disposable towel with no additional cost. Although the disposable towel is not so good to use as towel, they are still acceptable & hygienic, so, if you want more comfort, I suggest, bring your own towel. The washer works well, no dryer, but they provide hanger with drying space where there are windows open. The nearest large shopping center, Wanda Plaza, is nearby, taxi costs only ~CNY10, where you can find lots of restaurants & Walmart, etc. In overall, this property is good & worth of money.
