Hôtels 4 étoiles à Cumbrie, Royaume-Uni

Booked in for 1 night to have a rest in some luxurious surroundings after a lot of travelling around the country visiting friends. Hunday Manor is a beautiful old house in a fantastic spot on the side of a hill with a great view. The hotel is very well appointed and the rooms are well looked after. The quality of the food for both an evening meal and the cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent. Perhaps the only facility I would add is a few overnight EV charge points in the car park. The service however was rather comical, starting with check-in. After confirming my name, 1 night stay, and printing out the reservation sheet, somehow the chap on reception muddled up my solo reservation with a couple arriving on the same day who were staying for a couple of weeks and gave me their room. After settling in for a much needed afternoon nap in the very comfortable bed and 'locking' the door on the inside, the rather startled couple walked in having been given a card for the same room. From that point on I never really managed to relax. I offered to move room when I went down for dinner later on, but the chap declined and mumbled something odd about the length of stay and seemed to point at the paperwork suggesting I had signed it making it my mistake! Sigh. Things didn't get a lot better in the restaurant. Myself and another solo traveller were given tables at the back (by the same chap), seemingly to keep us out the way of the couples who arrived later and were seated at the windows. When either of us asked questions about the menu there was lack of understanding about the dishes.. I was then asked around half a dozen times by multiple staff if everything was ok. Meanwhile I could hear one of the couples quitely chatting about their room, no doubt the room I was in. Upon trying to put the bill on my room, the same chap from earlier left me at the bar with a card machine asking whether I wanted to add a tip. At breakfast the next morning it continued. When I arrived the first breakfast room was full of tables needing clearing so I was given a table in the same area where I had dinner. This time given a table at the window but right in front of the only other guest, a lady already eating her breakfast. My table wasn't set so inexplicably the waiter clumsily took a second place-setting from her table while she was midway through eating! After dusting a few crumbs from one of the plates I enjoyed my breakfast. Towards the end of eating the staff were discussing how to rearrange the room for an event later in the day and started moving things around. After hearing the same couple from dinner asking to be told when their room was made available, cleaners were hanging around at the bottom of the stairs when I returned to the room. Nothing like a bit of a hurry up to finish breakfast and get out of your room to make you feel like a valued guest. Upon check-out an apology and a chat but by then the damage was done. No offer to comp a drink (or dinne)r after making a mess of things either. It's a lovely hotel that could offer a real 5-star experience, but the service ended up more like an episode of Fawlty Towers and needs a bit of a rethink. Next stop China.

Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

Bon hôtel à Kendal. Il dispose d'équipements tels que piscine, salle de sport et sauna. Il dispose d'un bon restaurant et d'un pub séparé. Ils ont également deux salles de banquet qui sont principalement occupées pour les événements. L'hôtel est situé dans une colline et leur parking se répand en 3 niveaux. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables.

We booked the Superior Double Room and I felt it was well worth the extra for the gorgeous view we had from 2 large windows - whether the skies were sunny or cloudy. The location was excellent - within 5 to 10mins walk to the town and to Derwent Water and parking was well explained and ample. On entering Fellpack House, it was pleasant, well cared for and inviting. Our room on the top floor (stairs all the way up) was straight out of a home & decor magazine. The amenities, furnishing, towels and beverages were quality stuff and we saw that they also used locally sourced soaps and beverages. Housekeeping was daily and I loved that the gave us delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies each day! The breakfast was fresh & flavourful. That they started off as a restaurant (that operates across the road and is highly rated) carries through in their breakfast - I ate so much and it was worth every calorie! Best of all were the staff. We met many over the course of our stay and every one of them were warm, chatty, highly customer-oriented and witty! Can you tell how much I loved our stay there 😀

1, l'hôtel est très situé, la marche à la marine est également en 10 minutes, le restaurant proche est très nombreux et la cuisine est très pratique. La chambre est grande et il y a une salle de séjour, inattendu, mais la salle de séjour est à côté du lit, à côté de la rue, quelques chaussures le matin et la nuit, en particulier la vitesse de la voiture britannique est généralement plus rapide, une attention particulière. Le petit déjeuner est prématurément préparé pour le lait de céréales de yoghurt, certains dans le réfrigérateur, d'autres dans les caisses de stockage, ne pas attendre trop. 2, si vous êtes venu, vous devez avoir une carte de stationnement avec la réception, 3 livres par jour, un parking illimité, plusieurs places peuvent être parcées, en fait, c'est très pratique. Lorsque vous partez, vous pouvez aller au parking d'abord, et vous pouvez installer la carte de stationnement et le baril à la réception quand vous rentrez.

The place was amazing and situated in a great place. Very near to a lot of amenities like bars and restaurants plus some shops. The staff were amazing and so polite. We was made to feel like we was at home. Our room was huge and had a great view of the gardens. Breakfast was outstanding and very tasty highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future

The hotel is in a great location the staff are very helpful & pleasent however the hotel & rooms are tired & a bit small. There isn't a fridge in the room, the bathroom nightlight didn't work nor did the hairdryer it was also not possible to turn the towel heating rail off so having it on all day & night caused the room to be constantly hot (no air con). The bathroom is small however the shower was excellent unfortunately the shower tray had a couple of large cracks which had been covered over with (discoloured) tape which made it look scruffy. Breakfast was average, the breakfast room looked like it was waiting for an overhaul & the food was limited but ok. Not sure I would stay here again there are other hotels for a similar price that, despite the lack of sea view, are far superior.

Il y a beaucoup de gens magnifiques dans la région du lac. Notre hôtel est également l'un des plus. Il y a aussi des étiquettes et des chips et des bijoux dans la chambre ～ Le petit déjeuner est un bon jour de prématuré. Le chef du lac alimente personnellement, et est affiné et riche ～ Le seul défaut est que les deux jours où nous avons séjourné sont un peu chauds, sans climatisation, peut-être un vent, mais nous n'avons pas trouvé...

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Stafford Guest House. Nous avons séjourné dans la chambre à quatre affiches, qui était spacieux, décoré et parfaitement équilibré avec un touche de luxe. Les hôtes étaient exceptionnellement accueillants et amis, offrant des conversations engagantes ainsi que des recommandations locales utiles. Le petit déjeuner était aussi délicieux que généreux en portion. Nous vous recommandons vivement de trouver cette propriété à quiconque cherche un séjour relaxant et agréable.

衞生：算比較乾淨，不過電視櫃有幾根頭髮，衞浴和床上用品挺乾淨，隔離就是公交車站和各種餐廳超市加油呀，🅿️也ok 環境：在公園旁邊的馬路邊上，還不錯，還算安靜 我住的4號房，實際比圖片好看一些，稍微新一點，原本以為又是圖片上那種30年前那種傢俱，但實際可能就10年輕那種田園風，房間也挺大，大箱子也能展開， 服務：早上可以點餐，includ還算豐富 設施：住一樓，衹有幾步梯子需要提行李箱 缺點，一樓一定要拉窗簾，不然偶爾路過能看到房間裏，一到晚上22點後會有一股**氣味，有點受不了，房間門好像鎖不了，我也沒什麼貴重物品，也沒去問，就這樣住了3天，整體還是性價比不錯，畢竟這是在英國度假區最火的夏天，就不要有什麼大的期待，
