I had a fantastic stay at Ibis Styles Kingsgate Hotel. Everything about my experience was excellent. • Cleanliness: The rooms and common areas were spotless and well-maintained. It really made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. • Location: Perfectly situated, making it easy to get around and access nearby attractions, shops, and transport. • Service: The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests had a pleasant experience. • Amenities: All the facilities I needed were available and in great condition, adding convenience and comfort to my stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for solo travelers. Excellent value and a wonderful experience!

Cet hôtel bénéficie d'un emplacement exceptionnel en plein cœur du quartier central des affaires (CBD), avec une excellente desserte et un accès facile aux attractions touristiques. Le quartier regorge de restaurants proposant une grande variété de cuisines chinoise et occidentale, pour un séjour des plus agréables. La gare de Melbourne Central, d'où part un tramway gratuit, est à seulement 3 minutes à pied. La ligne 35 propose un circuit gratuit d'une heure et demie à travers le centre-ville, offrant une vue imprenable et un excellent rapport qualité-prix. En revanche, rejoindre l'hôtel depuis l'aéroport de Melbourne n'est pas chose aisée ! Un Uber coûte environ 60 $AU. Prendre la navette aéroport jusqu'à la gare de Southern Cross prend plus d'une demi-heure, d'où il faut compter environ 20 minutes de marche jusqu'à l'hôtel ; tout dépend de votre budget. Concernant l'hébergement, j'ai séjourné dans un grand dortoir de 18 lits (6 rangées sur 3 niveaux) et j'ai eu la chance d'avoir un lit superposé en bas. Le dortoir disposait de deux douches séparées et d'une salle de bain privée, correcte, mais uniquement pour dormir. Des activités étaient proposées dans l'espace commun extérieur, bien aménagé et fonctionnel. En résumé, ce genre d'endroit convient uniquement aux jeunes routards et aux voyageurs capables de supporter des aires de repos exiguës ! Bien que ce fût une nouvelle expérience pour moi, je n'y retournerai pas compte tenu de mon âge. Merci à trip.com pour la recommandation.

We were greeted by very friendly staffs, and were given early check in as well as an upgrade to a 2 rooms apartment (originally booked as 3 single beds room). We signed up for the member and got free parking fee but since we didnt drive, the staff was nice enough to give us a complimentary hotel break for 3 pax on one of the days during our stay. We tried our luck to request for late check out and managed to get it as well. The location is also great, locating within the free tram zone so its convenient and cost-friendly for us to transport to different places (including different meet up points for our day trip). Right opposite the southern crossing Station where theres alot of food options as well.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the city centre with multiple tram stations within minutes' walk away. The Southern Cross railway station is just 4 minutes walk away. There are convenience shops and good cafes near the hotel too. I had everything I needed in the room - from washing machine to dish washing liquid. My room was facing the river and the view was great. Downside is the trams and trains do get noisy, especially if the windows are open. It didn't affect my sleep though. Reception is only open between 8am - 8pm. A friend also booked this hotel and he was arriving at midnight so he arranged security box to pick up his keys and it was smooth. The aircon makes some clicking noises, that did wake me at night. My friend mentioned the same issue with the aircon in his room.
