We were visiting the Slovenian Coast for 5 Nights as a couple with a dog. We opted for a hotel in a more quiet location compared with portoroz - Izola etc.... What a great choice! Firstly, the hotel is beautiful renovated and looks like a new place. All is well and feels new - from the Restaurant, Lobby and the Rooms! (and awesome Salt chambers..) We chose a double room with balcony, which in those hot days were great for the early mornings or later evenings! (plus a big help in drying beach towels and clothes!) The room was nice, safe and mini bar fridge all available. Good shower - and for outdoor 38 degrees heat a perfectly working Air Con!! That's a real bonus! The Food (Breakfast was an enough wide selection) and the Dinner (mixed à la carte & sushi) must be stated was amazingly nice cooked, real top quality chef! if you like to dine out or eat in the evenings out just a 10-minute walk is the Ancaran Townsquare with a handful of nice Bars, Italian, Local Speciality Restaurant and so on. ＞All one needs! But the best ist still straight down from the hotel, the small bar on the beach! - So! - most over all I like to mention the feeling being a few days away from home in this place made us really relaxed and the best of the hotel is the people who work there!! - from the welcome reception team to the bar & restaurant staff and the housekeepers - all were at every time friendly and engaged! Overall, the Owner or Manager of this Hotel should be happy to have exactly this team working there now! They are awesome people with a good sense of hospitality! I would try to keep them! From the hotel you can walk in 3-5 minutes to a nice calm, quiet beach with another nice Restaurant and Bar (directly overlooking the Bay of Ancaran, Koper and so on) which was a lovely scenery!). The water was crystal clean and perfect temperature, and each time coming back to the hotel felt simply nice. Having travelled over 100s of times and stayed in 2-5 star hotels all over - this is definitely a place to go back. You just have to know what you are looking for and what kind of entertainment one wants. If you choose wisely, and you look for a bit more quiet place and not overloaded with people - and good drinks, food etc... than this is your destination! Thank you Team Ortus for the great stay. Nous avons passé une semaine dans cet hôtel. Il faut que je oublie quelques détails sur les installations de cet hôtel, car cet hôtel est plus ancien, mais les valeurs principales ​​ ont une autre façon. Lara et Sebastian, etc., ont toujours été heureux et en rire, Natasa et d'autres personnes au bar étaient très bien. Toutes nos exigences ont été fixées, tout est possible, j'ai été très heureux de rencontrer des gens aussi positifs et aimables que nous avons rencontré à l'hôtel Barbara Piran en Slovénie. L'hôtel est très bien situé, mais la mer, ils ont de grands petits-déjeuners et partout dans toutes les zones, il sent magnifique. Natasa et son personnel derrière le bar quotidien sont impeccables! J'étais inquiet de partager la voiture mais tout était assuré comme promis. Il semble que l'historienne de l'hôtel a pris le parc de ville de l'hôtel.Sans condition de la chambre et sans bâtiment, tout était bon, puisque nous avons pu utiliser toutes les installations de l'hôtel Historian.

C'est notre dernière nuit (de 8) à Grand Hotel à Koper et c'est une surprise positive. Nous sommes ici pour une régatta de voile et nous avons apprécié chaque minute. L'hôtel est récemment rénové et il mérite plus que ses 4 étoiles. Le service est vraiment spécial et surtout l'équipe du bureau frontal travaille autour de l'heure pour vous rendre mémorable votre séjour. Ils vous font sentir si bien. La situation est aussi grande et vous tomberez amoureux de la vue de la mer des chambres supérieures. La nourriture est également excellente - le petit déjeuner quotidien avec des œufs à votre choix, des collations, du déjeuner et du dîner aussi. Nous reviendrons. Merci beaucoup à allstaff@koper

Le personnel est agréable (l'Euro est agréable qui est ... pas mauvais, juste différent de ”Ouest” agréable), et a été utile (Jem, Sarah, Maria.) Les chambres sont très propres et confortables. Le restaurant est un hôtel de luxe américain, mais il est très bon, mais les toilettes et les serviettes sont superbes, mais suffisantes. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est certainement moins en quantité que d'autres hôtels de la Croatie offre à Rijeka, mais la nourriture est GOOD et frais, il y a des céréales, des œufs à couver, des yogurts, des fromages, des pains, de la viande, des jus et du café chaud qui goûtent très bien. Les autres commentaires qui se plaignent sont des trucs de la bouche. L'unique négative de cette propriété est que l'AC dans chaque chambre (nous avions 2 chambres) sont: bruyant, peu froid et sentent moustique. Nous avons ouvert les fenêtres car il se réfrigère bien à la nuit, mais il n'y a pas d'écrans, donc les moustiques entrent, donc c'est une capture 22: être chaud ou être amené par des bugs.

We spent 10 days at this beautifull hotel. The Grand Deluxe room with sea view was absolutely amazing. The staff was very polited. Breakfast at the Christal hall was very delicious too. The pool area was peaceful and clean. Beach area was also very nice. The only complain goes to closing the Beach area after 17.. September, as the weather was still very nice and warm. So maybe think about that for the future. All other was amazing!

This was our first sea side vacation in Slovenia. The hotel is part of Life Class Hotels network which includes several more expensive and several less expensive hotels. Guests of all of them share the SPA facilities. I rated this hotel stay as “Very Good” mainly for its value for money. Otherwise, it is average. Hotel: this is a 4 star hotel and, apart from the food, old towels and having to pay for old bath robes, it is probably the 4 star hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable, very clean, large balcony with a table and chairs. The hotel and surroundings are quiet, even though it is kind of in the middle of a resort town. Mattresses are on a softer side and pillows are not that comfortable but all in all ok. TV has several programs in English including CNN, BBC, National Geographic, cartoons etc. Towels and bath robes are very old and really need to be replaced at this stage. Plus you have to pay for bath robes (!) euro 6 per one bath robe. It’s handy to have one because you can go to the SPA dressed in it. SPA: is very good. There are several swimming pools, one of them is with thermal mineral water which we liked. Another one is with sea water and has one part outside. The pools are clean and pleasant. Can get very busy when the weather is not great but it was manageable. There are plenty of massage and other SPA options. I didn’t use any but they looked very nice and not too expensive. Kids club: there is one on the prémisses. It is run on the Medusa beach in good weather or inside of the Apollo hotel in not so good weather. Animators seemed nice but not too engaged. Also, they never asked for my room number or my phone number so I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the kids there without me being nearby for longer than 10 min. When the kids club is run on the beach, the beach is right next to the road. So it really is not an option to be used for child care and going off to the SPA. Kids enjoyed playing there though so I do recommend it. Beach: the hotel guests can use Medusa beach which is opposite the hotel (you need to cross the road to get there). Hotel guests pay Euro 18 for two loungers and one umbrella. It is expensive if you do this every day. The beach is nice and clean but it is rather busy and not that big. Sun loungers are on the grass, there is no sand there. You need to use the metal step ladder to get into water. There are small stones on the bottom in the water so worth getting beach / water shoes (Euro 15 in shops nearby). Otherwise, can be unpleasant, especially for kids. The water is probably around 1 meter deep when you get in so young kids won’t be able yo puddle in. Water seems clean but there are lots of boats nearby so you can see a bit of diesel in the water. There are showers on the beach and a nice cafe for lunch and drinks. Food: breakfast is limited but ok. The young lady Sara who is making omelettes is very nice and welcoming. Scrambled eggs however are really bad as if they were made
