First off, I want to say that while I have some issues with this hotel, I have nothing but excellent things to say about the staff! To a person, they were warm and friendly, from the folks at check in to housekeeping. Give credit where credit is due -- they were all lovely! Now, onto the hotel itself: LOCATION/ARRIVAL: The hotel is located in the Cross Keys complex, and you will see a sign upon arrival into the complex. After that point there is minimal signage, and all of us had a hard time finding our way: You want to drive left and go around the back of the whole complex. Parking is in the garage or lot -- there was amble there and it was free. BUILDING/ROOM: Listen, the place has good bones -- it was built in the 1960s and the architecture is fun. But the hotel itself is in sore need of a full renovation. Wallpaper is peeling, carpet is outdated, elevator is clearly older, etc. Furniture was clearly on the newer side, but still showing signs of wear. However, bed was clean and decent, and the TV was newer and allowed access to things like Netflix and Pandora, with an easy option to log out anytime (also done automatically after check-out). If you care about views and lighting, ask for a room overlooking the courtyard. OTHER ITEMS: Good wifi. Free parking. Free continental breakfast that went beyond the basics. Restaurant was not open, so you can't get any food onsite beyond the little convenience store (nothing onsite in the complex, either -- you're going to need to get delivery or drive somewhere). Some funky smells in the hallway. Not great soundproofing -- could clearly hear music from the room next door, even over our own TV. BOTTOM LINE: I hope that the new owners of the Cross Keys complex work with Marriott to invest in renovation, open the restaurant, and get more going on in the complex in general. I expect that in 2-5 years this hotel will be a great place to visit and prices will go up significantly. In the meantime, it's a fine place for a night or two for those on a budget looking to be in the area.

My flight was canceled and I needed somewhere to stay so I booked at Midtown Inn on Priceline. Big mistake! After paying the $50 cash deposit (why not a credit card hold?), I asked for a receipt. The front desk staff (owner?) insisted it was unnecessary and that it was impossible to give me a receipt (”it will just need to be crossed out in the morning”). As I tried to understand what he meant by that, he became agitated and after a few more minutes told me I had to leave. I was stunned and said, ”It's 11 pm and I don't have anywhere else to stay...” and he replied, ”That's your problem, that's not my problem. You need to leave or I'm calling the police.” This was entirely uncalled for. I was calm and polite, even as he came around the desk toward me and started gesturing at me. It was pointless to continue talking so I returned the key, he refunded my money, and I left. I don't know Baltimore well but I do know downtown isn't an area to hang around alone late at night with a big travel bag. I don't understand how they can stay in business if this is how they treat their customers.

L'apparence de l'hôtel est exceptionnelle, avec ses équipements, son salon a intégré des meubles et des décors modernes, dont une belle taille, une télévision LCD. A proximité de l'entrée/de la lobby, il y a 4 washer/4 unités de lavage sec. Tous les lave-vaisselle et les usines de lavage semblent être à jour et pleinement fonctionnelles. L'équipement de lavage des suites de candlewood est entièrement gratuit pour tous les clients actuels de cet hôtel. Les lave-linge 4 lave-linge et 4 usines sont accessibles 24h (il faut utiliser la clé de l'hôtel pour accéder), mais vous devez fournir votre propre détergent. Les suites de la chambre d'hôtes sont exactement comme annoncées. La douche et la salle de bain (à côté) sont une pression d'eau et une température agréablement temperamentales. Les suites sont également confortables et confortables. Le lit de taille royale, avec de grandes couches douces et fermes texturées, sont incroyablement confortables. Pour la Saint-Valentin, j'ai obtenu des billets de ma femme pour voir ”Wicked” à l'hippodrome de Baltimore et j'ai décidé d'en faire une nuit. J'ai choisi le Kimpton pour le nom, à distance de marche de l'hippodrome (environ 5 à 10 minutes à pied), et j'ai obtenu un bon tarif non remboursable sur un site Web pour notre nuit. L'hôtel est dans une partie descendante de la ville et a beaucoup de charme. Il a besoin d'une rénovation ici et là, mais dans l'ensemble, la propriété est en bon état. La chambre était propre et la salle de bain était magnifique. Le lit et les oreillers étaient A +. Le bon. .  - Ce qui distingue l'hôtel des autres, c'est le personnel. Ils n'auraient pas pu être plus amicaux. Tout le monde, valet de chambre, portier, personnel d'enregistrement, nettoyage, etc. Tous avaient des sourires, des salutations et quelque chose de gentil à dire. Une agréable surprise pour la côte est! Bravo à eux!  - Juste en face d'un Dunkin 'Donuts pour Java tôt le matin.  - Le restaurant de l'hôtel (be & O Brasserie) était très bon et très bonne ambiance pour dîner. Les prix nous sont assez raisonnables. Un couple de boissons, un apéritif, deux entrées et le désert partagé avec pourboire était d'env. 125 $. Notre serveur Michael était super! ! Le mauvais. . .  - Plusieurs petites choses. Une forte odeur de produits de nettoyage lorsque nous sommes entrés dans la chambre, la douche avait un cri comme un 757 qui décollait, le miroir de maquillage ne restait pas en place, un tiroir cassé. . . rien qui ne pouvait pas être facilement réparé mais qui m'empêche de céder 5 étoiles. Le moche. . . 42 $ la nuit pour le voiturier et 9 $ pour une bouteille d'eau semble un peu extrême. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour et je recommanderais cet hôtel à mes amis et à ma famille. Cependant, si j'obtenais un tarif similaire dans un hôtel de même qualité, je serais prêt à essayer quelque chose de nouveau.

Affaires avec quelques loisirs impliqués. Hôtel d'affaires standard, beau salon dans le hall. J'ai adoré avoir la suite disponible pour mettre toute notre nourriture 😌 jamais assez d'espace avec les mini-réfrigérateurs ! J'aurais aimé qu'il y ait plus de commodités à partager à l'hôtel mais nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Près des restaurants, des parcs et des églises.
