Comme un autre commentateur, je suis devenue gittery la nuit avant de partir sur l'hôtel faisant partie d'un magasin - stupide moi ! Nous avons eu une semaine si belle qui nous a permis de revenir l'année prochaine (et nous reviendrons rarement partout parce qu'il y a tant de nouveaux endroits à visiter). L'hôtel est très bon, le personnel est très bon, le choix est fantastique et la qualité du petit déjeuner est très calme, même si vous êtes dans la ville et, en ce qui concerne la terrasse du toit - toutes les piscines tournées doivent être tellement grandes et avoir ces vues merveilleuses! Avant de me sentir parfait, je dois admettre que la mise en lumière de la première nuit a entraîné un peu de problème, mais nous avons finalement réglé ce qu'il faut faire, et nous avons été habitués aux faibles niveaux d'éclairage dans la chambre et les ascenseurs. Bien que nous ayons apprécié les cocktails à la piscine, nous n'avons pas mangé dans le restaurant ou bu dans le bar, mais c'est seulement parce qu'il y a tellement de bars, restaurants et cafés à l'intérieur de l'accès facile qu'il aurait été honteux de se passer sur certains Nous étions là aussi pendant le festival de fleurs, qui nous a donné de belles vues et nous est devenu notre marche de soir régulière à proximité de l'hôtel. Oh, et le glace sur le gâteau - l'un de nos magasins préférés, Massimo Dutti, est à l'entrée du centre commercial!

Absolutely fantastic staff, I will come back to them later. The Hotel is ideally situated for exploring the lovely Funchal, very central and flat . In regard to the hotel itself, It is very clean and comfortable everywhere, the rooms are a very modern and well presented. The breafast in the morning is lovely way to start your day . Now the members of the staff whom made our stay even more special. We would like to thank the manager Carolina, also Soraya,Beatriz, Joao, Erika and Carolina in the restuarant and all the rest , sorry, we do not remember all the names The above are very special human beings, we miss you. Tres belle emplacement, petit déjeuner varié complet, personnel disponible. Les points faible pas de parking seulement 6 place disponible mais souvent déjà prise. Possibilité de se stationner dans le parking du ****** maximum 6,30€ pour toute la nuit. Autre point faible l’insonorisation des chambres on entend la télé des chambres voisines le bruit des portes qui claque... Hôtel largement suffisant pour 3/4 jours piscine agréable jaccuzi hammam et petite salle de sport !

La chambre est grande à l'entrée, et de l'immédiat est très bon à l'immédiat, le balcon est confortable et ne le voulez pas, les vêtements de bain temporaires sont très confortables, les vêtements de lave-linge sont rapides et bon marché, l'eau de popcorn à la porte est buvable pour partir heureux, le bar est super avec l'atmosphère, Écouter une belle chanson pour se détendre et dormir, le personnel de service prend soin de deux fois plus, le petit parking insule est inconfortable, il y a un service de parking sans soucis à l'hôtel, mais le prix est de 20 euros par jour

L'hôtel est situé dans une position parfaite, près du centre de Funchal. Nous avons eu une expérience étonnante et nous pouvons tout à fait garantir qu'elle vaut la peine. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas fourni par un buffet, vous obtenez un menu, mais vous pouvez commander autant de choses que vous voulez, sans limite. Il est un hôtel pour les gens qui veulent aller à Madère et découvrir.

Quelle déception en lisant tous ces derniers avis clients négatifs alors que notre voyagiste nous y avait réservé 2 chambres (parents et adolescents) ! Nous avons tout de même tenté l’expérience ! Mais depuis les derniers avis, l’hôtel a déménagé dans un nouveau bâtiment, certes pas très moderne mais toujours très bien placé dans le centre-ville de Funchal, les chambres étaient propres et relativement grandes pour un hôtel équivalent à un 2*, même les salles bains, comparativement aux avis précédents. C’était un bon niveau de confort. Le point faible est plutôt l’insonorisation des chambres, vis-à-vis des autres chambres d’une part, et de l’extérieur (bars et école) d’autre part, ce qui ne nous a tout de même pas empêchés de dormir. Ça correspond bien à une insonorisation d’un 2* !

Excellent hôtel à Funchal , idéalement situé en centre ville pour visiter à pieds , très proche de l'arret du bus pour l'aéroport , davant un magnifique jardins publique . L'hôtel est une perle rare dans Funchal , les chambres sont petites mais très propres avec un petit balcon , très bonne literie , salle d'eau avec douche à l'italienne , mais ce qui fait le plus de cet hôtel c'est incontestablement sa superbe terrasse avec piscine et vues magnifiques sur Funchal et la montagne , avec des couchers de soleils splendides mais également de superbes monents au petit déjeuner . Piscine très agréable avec transat c'est rare à Funchal même .

Our fourth stay at this friendly well run hotel/apt,the staff always welcoming and have time to talk and help with any enquiry,the apartments are a good size ,large bathroom and bedroom area with plenty of wardrobe space ,the lounge/dining area is adequate and our room had a small balcony with a view(great on an evening)of the city rising in the hills towards Monte,the hotel is situated in the central part of town ,near a park and the Ritz cafe around 200 metres away,,when we were here in 2022 my wife became ill and was in Hospital for 8 days,the hotel could not have supported me more we are so grateful for their kindness an..and it,s location,thankyou to all the staff again.d support,we will return always to this hotel for that reason

It was my birthday whilst we were there, we were given an upgraded room and I was presented with a lovely cake on the day which I wasn’t expecting. The hotel is on a great location, easy walking distance from shops, cafes, restaurants and Christmas markets. Enjoyed it so much, planning to return next year

After many years of travel I finally found my perfect hotel, this was more like visiting family than a strange hotel, being recently bereaved and almost an octogenarian I found their patience and understanding was a welcome not so usually found, led by the wonderful Maryluz, receptionist, and restaurant supervisor they fussed over me like a mother hen, This is a wonderfully clean hotel with spacious rooms with king sized beds set in a great location minutes from Funchal center, the restaurant is really nice and breakfasts were the best i have had anywhere with a wide range of cold meats, fruit juice etc and cooked breakfast cooked to order then served at table along with a pot of coffee, the rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels provided, there is also a safe in the room but best of all the care and friendlyness of all of the the staff, Maryluz is a wonderful lady and made my holiday a joy even giving me a cuddle when i left so thank you Maryluz and all the staff at the Funchal Design i hope to see you all again someday and i will certainly recommend the Hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful Island of Madera

We are a couple and stayed for 3 nights in this hotel (May 2022). For a 3-stars hotel, we do love their service during our trip in Funchal, Madeira. There are several restaurants nearby to have lunch and dinner. It is only 10 minutes of walking to the nearest beach. We rented a car for 1 day, and the rent car location was so close from the hotel (5 mins of walking). If you are looking for a budget hotel with great service and good location, you may consider this hotel as an option. I recommend this hotel for you. Pros: 1. Location The location is quite good. From the airport, we took aero bus and paid €8 for a return ticket per person. The aero bus only accept payment in cash. The ride will take us around 30 minutes from the airport to the nearest stop (no.3 Mercado). Then, we walked to the hotel for 10 minutes. You just need to climb up the road after you are in 31 Janeiro street. To walk to the city center l, it will take you less than 10 mins too. 2. Check-in The check-in went smoothly and no problem. After we verified our identification card, the receptionist told us about the wifi, breakfast, and others things. 3. Price We made a reservation through OTA. It was good value of money to stay in this hotel. The breakfast already included in the price for 2 people. 4. Room The room is quite simple, clean, and not so big. We had twin beds with a city view (4th floor). There is a TV, chair, table, cupboard. The bed and pillow are comfortable for me. The bathroom is quite big and it is clean. The standard amenities like soap, shampoo are there. The towels are clean. The hot water and the ac worked perfectly. 5. Breakfast The breakfast is not bad, it exceed our expectations. They have fresh bacons and sausage everyday. The view from the breakfast area was so beautiful. 6. Wifi The wifi is easy to connect and the speed is good from our room. 7. Staff The staffs are quite nice and helpful. The man helped us to get to know a ticket available for Porto Santo. The woman helped us with useful information to take the aero bus to the airport. The staffs for breakfast were nice too. 8. Facilities The hotel has spa, restaurant, rooftop bars. Cons: 1. They should improve the fruits salad on the breakfast. The quality of the fruits could be better.
