Tbh, j'ai eu de mauvaises expériences avec ma chambre 942. Je viens d'imaginer la porte coulissante de la salle de bain que je dois pousser fort pour l'ouvrir/la fermer. le sèche-cheveux ne fonctionne pas. surtout, l'eau s'égoutte du plafond.. appelé la réception, ils ont envoyé la maintenance. matin…appelé puis à nouveau…ils ont envoyé la maintenance et organiseront une autre chambre pour nous…attendez jusqu'à midi…pas de nouvelles sur la nouvelle chambre…j'ai dû descendre et attendre qu'ils me suivent..d'une manière ou d'une autre j'ai l'impression d'être le directeur de l'hôtel…deuxième voyage dans cet hôtel…cette fois-ci très désagréable…oh oui la moquette est très trempée…

Overall the hotel has been refurbished as it is one of the old hotels in Ipoh. At first was skeptical to book this hotel but because of the strategic location, I went ahead and book it. Very convenient as the famous dim sum restaurants are stone throw away and nearest shopping mall is around 10-15 minutes walk. Parking was a bit narrow as cars in the old days are not as big as the cars now so need to be extra careful if you are driving and park inside the hotel parking. Else you can opt to park at the parking lot outside the hotel. Overall the room looks clean but the sound proof is not that great. Breakfast was okay considering the price you pay per night but with lots of good food around I think you can opt out the breakfast option. The view from my room also not too bad.

Dans l'ensemble, la chambre d'hôtel est super. Le service est réactif lorsque je demande une enquête. MAIS pauvre petit déjeuner que j'ai. Cela ne vaut pas la peine de rajouter le petit-déjeuner avec forfait hôtel. Aucune idée de la façon dont un repas est comme ça. Faites mon humeur quand je m'attends à prendre un petit-déjeuner de bravoure dans un café à l'environnement agréable, de catégorie magnifique. Cela m'a appris qu'il ne suffirait pas d'ajouter un petit-déjeuner avec un forfait hôtelier. Merci.

Paloh was a malay & orang asli (“native”) kampung (“village”) that has been around from at least the 18th century. Apparently the names comes from the founder of the village itself Toh Paloh. Paloh, or palung, also means a depression in the ground that holds water, or a fishing hole to catch fish. It is believed that Paloh was also a boat dock in the past. Some other views hold that the Hakka were the founders of Paloh, and only later came the Cantonese. According to this theory, the origin of the name is a symbolic reference to the dams that were constructed along the Kinta River for fishing purposes. These dams were referred to as “Pa-Lo” in the Cantonese dialect and eventually the area became known as Paloh. Paloh today has of course become the heart of the city of Ipoh. In this old part of the city pre-war Shop Houses line the streets, with a predominantly Chinese character. “Sarang” is a malay word meaning nest, hence “Sarang Paloh” means “The Nest in Paloh”, evoking the image of the hotel as a place of rest for the weary traveller. Located on Jalan Sultan Iskandar (formerly Hugh Low Street), Sarang Paloh is located in pre-war two storey shop houses that originally were the premises of a Goldsmith and a Bank more than 90 years ago. The façade of one of the buildings still has the name of the Goldsmiths on its façade in English, Chinese and Malay (jawi script), with the stately bank building still has the name of Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited on its front. Across the road, Sarang Paloh has another shophouse of which the ground floor has been converted into a carpark. If you have a car, this is where you would park. Parking is complimentary, but you must exercise caution, turning right into the shophouse entrance as Jalan Sultan Iskandar is a pretty high traffic road, and the building inside is quite narrow, with the cars having to be parked bumper to bumper, in two rows. Exit is out through the back of the shophouse into a back lane. Do bear in mind that if the shophouse is full of cars, you may get boxed in by other parked cars and not able to exit! Fortunately this did not happen to us while we stayed here. Getting to the hotel means having to cross the busy road again on foot, with your luggage, from the car to the hotel. The main reception area was in the former Goldsmith’s building, and the entire front of the shop house is dedicated to the reception. To get in the front door, you will need your access card, or the staff inside will have to let you in, if you have yet to check in. The central part of shop house is a courtyard with a spiral staircase going upstairs to the 2nd floor, and in the back is a sort of pantry area with dining table. Staircase at the back also leads upwards. We had booked a room at the back of the shophouse on the 2nd floor, as we were aware of reviews that rooms in front may have some street noise. La chambre double standard que nous avions était très petite avec peu d'espace sur le sol pour nos sacs. Pas de garde-robe, seulement 3 hangers pendant sur un compteur. Pas de draps, seulement 2 tables latérales. Pas de réfrigérateur mais il y avait un coffre-fort. Il n'y a pas de café, mais nous avons reçu 2 bouteilles d'eau potable chaque jour et il y avait un distributeur d'eau près de l'ascenseur pour nous remplir nos bouteilles qui était très appréciée. La chambre était propre et a l'air très nouveau. Nous aimerions que le parking privé soit toujours disponible dans le sous-sol avec un garde de sécurité (bien qu'il n'ait pas été présent dans son poste la plupart du temps!) Un ascenseur est disponible dans le sous-sol pour accéder au lobby et aux étages supérieurs - nous ne pouvions que accéder à notre étage L'hôtel est très confortable et très confortable.

2 nuits au Bedrock hôtel. Très joliment décoré. L’accueil de Debbie est super amical, elle donne une carte avec tous les centres d’intérêt et les conseils qui vont avec. Nous avions une chambre familiale, étant la seule dispo à nos dates. Un grand lit confortable, Tv, frigo, machine à eau et à café, une salle de bain spacieuse. A l’étage 2 lits simples et une grande sdb. L’hôtel est dans une rue calme. La wifi est un peu longue à obtenir mais on y arrive. Le petit-déjeuner est « light » selon les propres termes de Debbie. Une assiette est servie avec œufs au plat, haricots rouges, saucisses et une sorte de galette de pomme de terre. Pain, fruits sont à disposition. Pour nous c’était suffisant. Une belle adresse à Ipoh, même si nous n’avons pas été conquis par la ville elle même.

Nous sommes restés ici seulement une nuit après avoir descendu de Penang. C'est un petit hôtel boutique avec des équipements de base mais très proche de toutes les attractions touristiques. Nous avons vérifié à peu près à 7 heures, donc la route vers Jalan Bandar Timah était assez vide. Le matin suivant, nous avons été surpris parce que la route qui mène partout était si malade et que tous les magasins (chauffe-shops et restaurants) étaient si emballés avec des gens, longues couches partout! Remember to bring your own toiletries as only shampooing and shower gel were provided in the room. Other than that, everything was good. Highly recommended for those love to walk around and learn about the history of Perak.

Recette confortable. Petit-déjeuner gratuit sur le toit 8.30am-10.30am. Thé, toast à café, beurre, kaya (coco) et œufs cramés sur demande. Vous pouvez réfrigérer sur le toit en hamacs à tout moment. Nous avons séjourné dans la salle du roi de famille. 120 ringgit par nuit plus 10 ringgit par nuit taxe étrangère. 50 ringgit deposit. 1 lit roi et 1 lit unique. Douche seule, savon et toilette sur le mur. Sèche-cheveux, ventilateur et climatisateur. Il y a une couverture pour la fenêtre qui bloque la lumière pour dormir. Hallway a un filtre à eau, une chaudière, un plancher de fer et un toilette de secours. Certaines chambres ici sont des chambres. Il y a un signe devant l'hôtel pour marcher, payer 3 nuits et obtenir la 4e nuit gratuitement. Les motos pour louer et les boissons vendues dans le lobby. Cet hôtel est dans la nouvelle ville. Il y a quelques options alimentaires dans la vieille ville dans les rues autour de la ligne de concubine. Si vous êtes ici le mardi, essayez le marché de la nuit appelé pasar malam taman Ipoh timur - grand marché de la nuit. Environ 10 ringgit grab ride. Il y a une Tesco à côté avec wifi gratuit si vous n'avez pas de données, pour commander un grab de retour. Le mercredi soir, les garbans de marché n'ont commencé qu'à se développer. Les restaurants autour de nous étaient pleins. La nuit suivante, nous avons marqué environ 9.30pm, tous les gars étaient là. Essayez également Tong Sui Kai pour la nourriture. Les plats et les désserts locaux habituels. Remarquez que vous ne pouvez vous asseoir que devant les étages que vous commanderez. J'ai fait un examen séparé de cet endroit. Il y a aussi une cour alimentaire à proximité.

La chambre est belle mais malheureu*****t les toilettes ne sont pas isolées par une porte, elles sont juste séparées par un rideau qui fait que les toilettes sont en plein air… J'ai peur de faire caca à l'intérieur de la chambre car j'ai peur qu'il y ait une odeur de caca dans l'air. Le système d'insonorisation n'est pas bon, tôt le matin, nous nous réveillerons par le Doa du musulman ou si à l'étage il y a des gens qui marchent, il y aura aussi du son. Je suis en conclusion, deux points qui font chuter la note de cet hôtel 1. Toilettes pas dans un espace fermé 2. Le système d'insonorisation n'est pas bon

Stay here, don't look at the hotel facade,they have great rooms and very clean. The hotel is just 10 minutes flat walk from Ipoh train station, although it is in the residential area but all the intersting place are within walking distance such as Concubine lane just five minutes walk, the night market just five minutes walk, the memory lane was behind the hotel. The lobby is always locked and you feel secure. You need your keycard to access the lobby and lift. There are few sitting area in lobby but enough space. The second floor are breakfast area. The room was clean, and bright as there are lights everywhere. There is complimentary coffee and tea, fridge and safety box. The bathroom is quite big and the water power was strong with hot water run constantly. There is not place to eat surrounding the hotel area except KFC and Pizza Hut at the left side of hotel (2 minutes walk). If you walk across the street from the lobby into a small lane,you will reach a traditional kopitiam that have plenty of choice to eat,they start at 6 morning until night. The kopitiam has dim sum, seafood noodles, char kue tiau, popiah (night time). Minimarket 7 Eleven just beside the hotel. Considering the affordable price and very centrally located, this hotel is the best option to stay in Ipoh.
