Tout d’abord , attention , contrairement à ce que peut faire croire le site de l’hôtel , le Colon n’est pas un ‘All inclusive’ à la St Domingue mais plutôt un “pension complète ( buffet breakfast/ lunch et dinner à la carte ou buffet selon les jours et/ou l’affluence) + boissons ( softs et alcools ) et snacks aux bars à certaines heures. De plus il y a un “mais” : La pension complète n’est que pour ceux qui ont réservé et payé pour celle ci : le “ problème” est que lors du processus de réservation, rien ne permet de faire la distinction entre la pension complète et le seul buffet breakfast ( ou alors , c’est trop/très bien caché ce qui est stupide et trompe ainsi le client! …). Résultat, bien qu’étant habitué à faire mes propres réservations depuis des années , je me suis fait avoir et une fois arrivé à l’hôtel on m’annonce que seul le petit déjeuner est inclus dans ma resa - et ce malgré le prix élevé payé par jour! - Après moultes palabres et plaintes , j’ai obtenu le “full board” faisant admettre à demi mots par la chef de la réception que le site est - très - mal fait et trompeur et qu’ils se devaient de l’améliorer ( le rendre clair! ) pour éviter à nouveau ce genre d’inconvénients pour le client ( je n’étais donc le premier à mettre fait gruger !). Cela dit , les chambres sont propres et spacieuses/ bonne literie . Le personnel est pro/ actif et gentil de façon naturelle ( c’est une caractéristique que j’ai retrouvé dans les 3 hôtels où j’ai résidé pendant mon séjour en Équateur). Les piscines sont peu profondes mais agréables. La nourriture proposée dans les buffet est très correcte. Les plats individuelles à la carte sont d’un niveau supérieur; les ceviches et la cazuela de mariscos sont excellents par exemples… Retournerai je à cet hôtel? Franchement, je ne pense pas : le rapport qualité prix n’est pas là quand on compare avec le niveau de vie local et le coût journalier d’un “vrai” all inclusive en République dominicaine. On peut facilement trouver des B n B’s luxueux avec piscine et vue sur la mère à Salinas pour un quart du prix! Et ce n’est pas les coûts de repas pris dans les restos locaux qui vont augmenter le budget de beaucoup!

The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel restaurant had good selections and reasonably priced. Morning breakfast was good as well. The grounds were well maintained. Being right on the beach was a super plus and we enjoyed not having to get into our cars to drive to a beach.

J'ai eu le privilège de visiter ce lieu dans la compagnie des amis et c'était une expérience incroyable parce qu'il est un endroit très confortable, avec excellentes et très confortables chambres, il a une piscine et est proche de la mer, La cuisine est délicieuse et leurs cocktails sont les meilleurs, le personnel est très aimable et attentif, je pense qu'il est un endroit que je visiterai à nouveau pour son confort et une bonne atmosphère pour profiter de l'entreprise de famille, d'amis ou de couples. La meilleure expérience de cet endroit qui offre une vue incroyable.

J'ai été à la fin de la Coupe des libérateurs à Guayaquil et j'ai accueilli à Salinas. Je voudrais recommander à tous l'hôtel Blue Bay. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, la vue des chambres sur la plage est fantastique, le coût bénéfice est excellent et la réception de l'hôtel est fantastique. L'agence de voyages que j'ai engagé a quitté mon entrée du jeu à l'hôtel et le processus a été conduit par l'équipe de l'hôtel, en particulier le travail exemplaire des employés Paul et Nelson qui ne sont pas seulement leurs fonctions avec tout le professionnalisme et l'excellence, mais ils m'ont aussi aidé dans tout pour que je ne perde pas l'entrée ou les transferts de Salinas à Guayaquil et vice versa. Je remercie beaucoup M. Paul, M. Nelson et toute l'équipe de l'hôtel et je recommande à tous de passer par Salinas, d'accueillir l'hôtel Blue Bay.
